No, it is not too late to put the request in. Just remember, it is only a request. We didn't get ours once, but they did accomodate us even though it was full. Just make sure you "grease" the hand of the Head Waiter.

Use to think they didn't deserve any tip, but we've used them the last 2 trips and they get the requests done. :thumbsup2

I just hate the ones that walk around all snooty and then get friendly on "tip night".

As for Brunch, definitely go for Sunday if you can. If you get the CB on Sunday, that would mean the 2 sea days are wide open for you.

As for the temptation at breakfast, just order juice or something. Plus, if you're not eating, you can man the cameras.

Sunday it is then. (if possible) I'm going to email my TA as soon as I am done to make the request. Thanks for the GREAT advice!

I just checked the DCL site and the Pirate Encounter is available for 8:15AM and 10:15 AM still.

This is good news for those of us who are thinking about it.

So when you book an excursion do they not need the name of all the people going on it. If they need that name can I just type it in or is a drop down menu tied to the reservation #?

don't really know how that works. But be prepared so that you can make the reservations whilst not violating your parents wishes.

Evening Liz. How are the wedding plans coming along? My DS and his fiance' Stacy are getting married next April 19th and I never realized how expensive it can all be. Chuck and I just paid off the reception today. We're done now. That was our contribution to the wedding. They still have tons of things to pay for yet.

Too bad Rob/Cass didn't live closer. We would've booked him for the evening. :)

Haha I'm slowly trying to catch up here in the thread!

It's going really well... we're getting ready to send out the invitations this weekend. FH and I are currently sitting here picking ceremony music!

It's definitely expensive though. FH and I are paying for it all ourselves. We figure we'll spend around 15,000 when it's all said and done... right within budget. My dress alone was 1000 with alterations!! :scared1: Weddings definitely aren't cheap anymore!

Though I do have to say... I'm very ready to have it be October and get married. I'm ready for the stress to be over! :) Thank you for asking though!

I can not remember is the Hard Rock a kid friendly place. I just found their website but the don't have a copy of the kids menu. I know the one in Vegas is not that kid friendly

Here is what we are looking at for Key West. Nothing DIS related so no booking for this one. Yippy. This booking things in advance is stressing me out.

Southern most point
Light House
Blonde Giraffe

We're renting one of the electric cars for the day. I was surprised DH wanted to do it since it is very expensive. But between his back and my bad arches it maybe well worth the price.

Hello, There are electric cars you can rent. I had no idea. How many people do the hold? How do I get info on them. Thank you

Here is what we are looking at for Grand Cayman, again I don't think we are doing anything DIS related

Mac and I are looking at doing the Atlantis Submarine Expedition through the company since it is cheaper
Then I thought DH and the kids could meet up with us at the hard rock for lunch
then shopping for the rest of the day.

Hey Jeff

How do I know where the ship docks in Key West. I am trying to map out our day there and see if we can walk everywhere we want to go.

Does anyone know if the Hard Rock Cafe is still in Grand Cayman

Carrie, I have a page of Key West links on the website I created for us. Have you not seen it yet??

This is the main page:

And here is the Key West Page:

The ship docks right at Mallory square, most things are in walking distance but keep in mind that it gets very HOT there!

The HRC in GC is still there as far as I know. We went there in 2003 and it was kid friendly, not at all like the HRC in Vegas.

Rob proposed to me at the HRC in Calgary, but it has since closed. Our "thing" is Hard Rock Cafe's and we visit them everywhere we go. Just be warned, the GC HRC is VERY expensive!!!! I wouldn't order a big meal there! :sad2:

Thanks for thinking of me :) BTW: I DO TRAVEL :D
I've been trying to get a booking in the USA forever but after my experience in June, I'm afraid your Border Guards will just boot me out again and all I was trying to do was take a customer out for supper of all things.

Well - I'm off to play Zelda. Good night everyone!
Zelda?! Which platform and version are ya playing?

Humph!! DS Zachary is sitting on my lap and just announced he doesn't want to go on the cruise. When I asked him why, he said, "Because I think a shark will get me!"

Have no fear Zachary, sharks won't eat ya cause Mickey won't let them.

I would say go over to the kids thread. Not sure what they're discussing over there though.

If it was me, it'd be about ice cream :cool1:

Geez, you are all a chatty bunch of KKers today! ::yes::

No doubt eh! & to think they called us Chatty Charlies! Theres 9 pages to catch up on since this afternoon!

Well I just caught up on over 10 pages! Apparently my husband has had time to DIS today :rolleyes1 :lmao:

Well, when we have company over I tend to stay off the phone so my customers don't hear everyone talking; so I did some research today which lets me DIS on the side :)

Yeah, I saw him on here. Looks like he's getting in with Scott and Mike. You better watch him. :rotfl:
Yup, the Three Amigos now.

Oh I'm not worried about Rob or Scott :rolleyes1
:lmao:

Yeah, Mike is the "bad boy", he even admitted it earlier in the thread ;)

Well, I guess there is one more year of a million dreams....Perhaps they should rename to Years of a couple million dreams come true! :rolleyes1

"We’ve decided to continue The Year of a Million Dreams celebration
for one more exciting year! You’re among the first to know that
all the fun, magic and dreams come true will continue through
December 31, 2008! And we hope some of the extra dreams will
be yours!"

So, they couldn't think of anything else better for the coming year eh?
Go figure... marketing failed for 2008.

Hmmm has he been in our house. DS has asked a few times what happens if I jump or fall overboard. Everytime we have told him well the probably first the propeller (sp) will chop you up into a million little pieces and then you will be shark food. :rotfl:

Poor Zach, actually if you make it through the wave wash on the side of the ship without drowing, you'll have a good chance of treading water for 3 to 12 hrs while you wait for the ship to turn around and find you. Its not so much shark food as fish fodder since most succumb to hypothermia depending on where you go overboard, exhaustion, and dehydration.

So it is Mike that is the trouble maker in the bunch. :rolleyes1
He does want to go topless and show off his scar....
But then again, Robin does love him very much so he can't be so bad.
Besides, he seemed harmless at the pirate: party

You might be a redneck if you have ever emptied the bed of your truck by driving backwards real fast and slamming on the brakes.

Ooh why oh why do I have to know people who have done that one :guilty: :sad2:

someone pass the deodorant please

Um, is that for the dogs? I can use Febreeze again love...

Yes, very expensive HRC... the exchange is killer. Though it is my FAV HRC shirt though!
Have to say, I am so lucky you said yes

ooooh Jeff...

Rob is multi-quoting

:rolleyes1

I say you give it to him!!! :lmao:

Victoria opted to go out of O'Hare only because it was half the price! :headache: I would have loved to have gone out of Mitchell as it is only 20 minutes from our house, but now we have the hassle of O'Hare and an hour ride. :headache: Oh well, the money saved will come in handy for excursions. ;)

Hi there! The cheapest flight we found was actually out of Midway in Chicago. I have never flown out of there so I'm a bit nervous. We'll see how it goes...my head has been spinning from time to time planning this whole trip!

Jen:upsidedow

Good morning everyone:banana:

Well, I hate to speak too soon but after over an hour on the phone to our internet provider and several heated conversations my hubby has got our pc working (so far):rolleyes1 ...something to do with changing the signal on something blah blah...dont care how just know it hasnt crashed in 30 mins - a record!

Kira kind of started saying "mum" today!! :woohoo::cool1: I posted a small video of it on youtube...

http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=cass327

Its adorable:cutie: - she's just the cutest:cutie: - both Neil and Ellis watched her too cos I had the volume up loud and they heard her and came running to see!

Beautiful home Karen! I am trying to keep up with reading all the posts, but I am failing miserably. When I read someone else's post thanking you for posting pics, I started scrolling back until I found them, and I am so glad I did! You must be so happy to be all moved in and not worrying about it anymore. Is that Ellis' school in the background of the pic of your backyard?

Yes - thats Ellis' school - directly behind our boundary fence! - I can either cut a cat flap in the fence to crawl through or buy him a big trampoline and he can "boing" over the fence and into school:rotfl2:
Glad you liked the house - lots of bits to do, but its all smallish jobs. We're very happy here.

O.K., I'm taking the easy way out today. This may have even been talked about on our thread. It definitely is one of those that is on the main board.

QotD:

What one thing would you like to see added to the Magic (assume they have the space to do it and it can be done)?

my answer: A mini-golf course. (I think a regulation 9-hole course on CC would be cool too.)

Ooooh! - mini golf - i get very competitive:rolleyes1 - even though I'm useless:lmao:

PHOTOPASS BY OCTOBER 20TH!!

That would be fab too:banana:

Speaking of Potty training, I have an announcement to make. My Daughter, the very stubborn Princess Leah, has consented to use the potty for all manner of elimination for over a week now!!!!!!!

That said, we well probably have a bad day today. But, progress is certainly being made!!

:dance3: Well done Leah:dance3:

She has 10 more weeks to get it perfected - she's well on the way:thumbsup2

DH scott here, I too am computer dumb. My solution..a trusty hammer. And Karen could borrow it anytime.:lmao:

I find a big kick usually helps

will you be changing your name from mmmmbop to mum bop?

You beat me to it - thats exactly what I thought too! Mombop!

iTS STILL WORKING! - MAYBE ITS PROPERLLY SORTED:cool1:

So there is part of me that feels really quilty:guilty: for fighting for my moms life at this point. She has told me more then one time that I should have just let her go and no I am begining to think maybe I should have. She is not anywhere near what she was before ever getting sick. I can not help but think that I have caused her to live the rest of her life with a poor quality of life.

Don't mind me, maybe I should up my meds again tonight. No wonder I am a mental nut case lately.

Oh Carrie dont feel bad:hug: You did what you thought was best. I would have done the same. I dont see how anyone can just let a parent "go" without a fight

We're all here to chat to if you need to offload:grouphug:

I just checked the DCL site and the Pirate Encounter is available for 8:15AM and 10:15 AM still.

:cool1: - we wanna be pirate: pirate: pirate:

Here is what we are looking at for Key West. Nothing DIS related so no booking for this one. Yippy. This booking things in advance is stressing me out.

Southern most point
Light House
Blonde Giraffe

Us too, with shops thrown in too, although those little cars sound like fun

Well, thats me all caught up. I'm off to massage my legs:rolleyes: - the scout movement was 100 years old yesterday - loads of groups met up and hiked through Sutton Park about 30 mins each way and did a cermony and re-newed their promise. It was all rough ground an my legs are killing me cos we were out all day yesterday at a kiddie theme park and zoo walking.
