Major bad mother alert this morning...

I checked Ellis' medication (I do it reguraly for cracks / discoloration etc and found it was out of date by a week:scared1: - holy cr*p - never done that before:sad2:

I felt dreadful. It would still have been ok to use, but I'm usually over cautious with it. I subscribed to a site that was meant to inform you when the epipens were expiring - they never emailed me:mad: - last time I rely on anyone else, but its my own fault too for not checking. Luckily i managed to rush through a repeat prescription - usually takes 48 hours just to get the prescription off the doc but she did it by 4pm today so then I rushed it to the chemist and luckily they had one injection in stock and he's ordering the other 3 for tomorrow.

I felt awful:sad1: - my poor wee munchkin could have got real sick and it would have been my fault. :sad2: :sad2:

Just a reminder to all on meds - please go check them. I will be much more vigilant after this scare.

And then to top it all - he goes and makes me soooo proud of him today by getting his 25 metre swimming badge:cool1: :cool1:

DH scott here... :woohoo: Good job Ellis:thumbsup2

DH scott here....Note to Jen (millerpjm) Usually it is my wife on this, I pop in only a few days a week due to my work schedule. So if you see post without "DH here" or something close to, it will be her posting.

What part of WI are you from? I think you make #9 from that fine state that is on this thread.

Hey there...thanks for the warm welcome!

My name's Jen (yes, last name Miller) and I live in Wisconsin. This is going to be my first cruise EVER, and I'll be sailing with DH and my 4 year old son in one cabin, and in an adjoining cabin will be my mom and a friend. I'm also an obsessive planner - I have been reading on this board since October of last year! So, while we're all chatting....see if I've missed anything in my planning so far:

Cruise - booked and paid in full (yeay!)
Airplane tickets - purchased (flying in on the 19th)
Hotel booked - near the airport with a free shuttle and breakfast
Ground transportation - working on (not happy that they just automatically add 20% tip - is that normal?):confused3
Gift baskets - ordered from Shirley!
Excursions - I can book on August 6, so far I'm planning to do the Pirate excursion in Grand Cayman - my DS loves ANYTHING pirate, and he's going to flip over Pirate night!pirate:

Be patient with me...I may be asking a few questions over the next few weeks...but glad to meet you!

Jen
Oh GREAT, another WI family, there are quite a few families from WI, and we always welcome more. Where in WI are you from?

You can have all his groupies, he's a one-woman kind of guy! ::yes:: :rolleyes1

that reminds me of a story about our ds. in 93 we were staying at the caribbean. he was 16 i think. he had a couple of girls chasing after him the whole vacation.:cheer2:
years later we found out in order to impress them he told the girls that i was the owner of a minor league baseball team!!
like father like son.

I was gonna say.... wonder where he got that from :lmao:

Jen, remember, there seems to have been a change in the reservation computers and the ressies can be made at Midnight EST on Aug 6th. I don't know where you are from but for me being on the west coast I can make those ressies at 9pm Aug 5th. Just a bit of help so you can get the ressies that you want.

Did anyone get a chance to look over my ressie plans that I posted a few pages back? I was hoping for some feedback. I can re-post if need be.

aghhhh. robin was on and i missed her!!! sorry baby.
by the way, what are you wearing?:rolleyes1 :rotfl2: :thumbsup2

I didn't know you cared. Here is what I was wearing.
