Evening Liz. How are the wedding plans coming along? My DS and his fiance' Stacy are getting married next April 19th and I never realized how expensive it can all be. Chuck and I just paid off the reception today. We're done now. That was our contribution to the wedding. They still have tons of things to pay for yet.

Too bad Rob/Cass didn't live closer. We would've booked him for the evening. :)

Steve, did you put a request in for a dining rotation? Also, do you have early or late seating? If you have a request in, go for a day that is not after Animator's. If you are unsure, go for Monday as you would have to be on LAP to have your character breakfast on Monday, and with little kids I doubt you'll get that rotation.

If you are on early dining, it shouldn't matter which day you book brunch because you will be done with the Character Breakfast in time to make a 10:30 brunch ressie. Just don't eat at the CB.

We did not put in a request. Do you think that it is too late? I assumed that I would probably get APL due to the age of my kids. We have early seating. That is great advice for the CB. I'll have to make sure to resist temptation.

We went for Sunday so that our Sea Days are open. We will easily be done before the boat docks in KW.

Doing the Brunch on Sunday is pretty attractive to us. Since we are not in a hurry to go out in Key West we can be pretty leisurely.

This is an easy walk right from the dock. There should be coupons online for this (maybe on their own website). If not, look around town on the way there, you may find some.

I'm glad that it will be close. I have some coupons that I found online in my cruise folder. But I am always on the lookout for a better deal!

Unless the semi-sub is in the early afternoon AND you get on the 8:00 a.m. Pirate, you won't be able to do both. They are real sticklers on the timing. The 2nd Pirate goes at 10:45 I think. You may be able to do the semi-sub through an outfit on the island.

That's how I thought it would probably play out. I always tend to over extend myself on vacations and this is an example. I talked it over with Laura and we feel that the pirate expedition is probably expendable because the sub adventure would be pretty educational. (I am after-all taking my son out of school for a week. I'll need to throw the teacher a bone.)

Are you doing this at Chakanaab? We most likely will be ending up there for the day. Not a definite - we will look at other clubs, but DW wants to go back there.

Yep. That's the one. They say after the dolphin you are free to enjoy the rest of the park.

Did some more shopping today. Finally found some pretty ivory colored shoes that I'll wear with my new ivory formal dress. I hunted high and low for just the right shoes! Drove my DH & kids nuts!

Has anyone seen the new Studio Collection tees at the Disney Store? They're so cute! I think that's what we're wearing on embarkation day. Of course, I'll be sporting the Pooh bear! (DH says - eww, you have poo on your shirt!) :rotfl2:

Nancy,

Curt DJs weddings too--you probably have that all figured out though.
He prefers to be the videographer though. He is doing more of that now instead.

Actually, the kids are still looking for someone to videotape the whole thing. I'll let them know about Curt.

We'll have to look at a Sat or Sun then for the meet.

The Brewers are down 8-5 and the Cubs are still tied.

If we lose, we need a Cubs loss or they're tied.

You went to the '82 Series? I didn't know you were that old.

Now Nancy remembers going to the '57 Braves world seires. :lmao:

How very sweet of you!! I was thirteen when I went and had a mad crush on Paul Molitor--my 18 year old sister was hot for Robin Yount. The cool thing was the two of us went with my dad and our great-uncle. Our great-uncle actually did go to the '57 World Series. People around us asked him to sign their programs. He talked about that for years. We were at game 3--the game they lost to those hateful Cardinals--sorry Brenda, I honestly did root for them last year. :)

No, it is not too late to put the request in. Just remember, it is only a request. We didn't get ours once, but they did accomodate us even though it was full. Just make sure you "grease" the hand of the Head Waiter.

Use to think they didn't deserve any tip, but we've used them the last 2 trips and they get the requests done. :thumbsup2

I just hate the ones that walk around all snooty and then get friendly on "tip night".

As for Brunch, definitely go for Sunday if you can. If you get the CB on Sunday, that would mean the 2 sea days are wide open for you.

As for the temptation at breakfast, just order juice or something. Plus, if you're not eating, you can man the cameras.

Humph!! DS Zachary is sitting on my lap and just announced he doesn't want to go on the cruise. When I asked him why, he said, "Because I think a shark will get me!"

No way Victoria.:sad2: I would believe that you were 3 but not 13 during that series.

Well - I'm off to play Zelda. Good night everyone!

G'night Pooh.

Jeff - did you get a SPH on the repo cruise?

Yeah, right.

Even getting in right at 5 minutes after the lines opened, I couldn't. I didn't get the chance to talk to a CM until 35 minutes after they opened. Got Tier 1 pricing though. Even the rooms kept moving back, and back and back. We're still mid-ship and at least we're not "Guaranteed". Wouldn't want a Deck 1 room. I would have paid the extra for a Cat 8 GTY then.

I think those were probably in the first 10 rooms to go. The 2 Cat 1's first, then the 6 SPH and then the Cat 2's.

We went straight for a Cat 9. We thought about a balcony, but for about $3,000 savings, we felt we didn't need it. Plus, we'll just watch the canal from Deck 10 (and maybe only watch one set of locks).
