Mornin' s
It is Little League opening day in my world. Ceremony at 9:30, DS8 game at 11, DS6 game at 1. Yup five hours at the ol' ball game. Got me some peanuts and cracker jacks, I don't think that I'll ever get back!
Just in from the This Is So Wrong Department: Our local Little League uses MLB team names. The kids wear real MLB hats & corresponding color t-shirts or jerseys (depending on the level). Yes, I am not only going to spend the next 2 months rooting for the White Sox & Yankees, but the caps are currently in my home!!! We are Indians fans!! I'm a Cardnials fan & we've also adopted the Padres and the Devil Rays from when we lived there. BUT NO YANKEES AND NO WHITE SOX! Last year the boys were Mariners and Red Sox which was OK since we are indifferent to those teams.
DS8 was asked to play up a league, so he is playing with 9-12yo. They are HUGE! Of course the older kids are the ones who were not selected for the next level, but good golly, one of them needs to shave!
But you know what is nice?? MY HOUSE IS RENTED!!!
That was just too easy. I keep waiting for the glitch.
It's always all about you isn't it?

When ours did that, we ripped it out of the ceiling and stuck it under some stuff in the garage. We have a new house, so there are detectors in every room and hallway. There is one spot with 4 detectors within about 12 square feet!
If you are staying in a newer house, the detectors are probably hard wired with a battery back up. The problem with ours was that the hard wire connection was loose, so after ripping it out of the ceiling, when we reinstalled it, it was a-ok

And that's assuming social security actually still exists. Company provided retirement, HA! Pension, HA! 401k with a match, HA!
I wonder what cat food tastes like....

I know this is off subject but does anyone know about smoke detectors? It started beeping this afternoon, I changesd the battery and it is still beeping. I am challenged when it comes to things like this.
