PAST--RiddleCon!

Hmmm... Maybe next year's RiddleCon could be held closer to home at Kennywood! It is a wonderful park, not nearly as big as Cedar Point, but with lots of great rides.

Barry - Have you checked into flights on Airtran? They run a lot of flights between Orlando and Akron. I know that both are out of the way for you, but we often use Akron airport as our point of departure for trips to Orlando. They usually run internet specials that, depending on when you want to fly, run around $84 each way.

Kitty and Glo! Dancing Saturday night? That sounds like fun! :p

I'll make sure we pack Will's party dress.

;) :p

I'm ready to boogie!!!

Laura,
Have you ridden Phantom's Revenge at Kennywood? I never rode Phantom, but I've ridden Phantom's Revenge about 4x so far! Awesome!

I'm a little nervous about riding the Millenium at Cedar Point. It's the 2nd highest coaster in the World!!

I've always wanted to go to Kennywood!!!!!

Ranatra,
I am not much of a coaster rider at all, but both DS and DH love the Phantom's Revenge. I will be part of the NCJD group at RiddleCon (no coasters, just drinks). I think we have a growing membership!

Gail - you would love Kennywood! I'm curious, how did you hear about it in RI? It would be great to have such a huge meet in the Pittsburgh area. There is so much to see and do here.

STOP! Don't start planning next year's RiddleCon before this one is even here! My head is already spinning! :bounce:

Sorry Pembo! It's just that I've spent the last year of my life planning our first family trip to WDW, and now that it's over I don't know what to do with myself. I am in planning-withdrawal mode right now. ;)

I understand the need to plan Laura! Let's just work on one year at a time! LOL!!! :)

Why don't you plan to come to one of our NE Ohio meets? 2/8 or 3/1?????????? Or plan to come to Towncrier's meet over Memorial Day weekend.

Let's see what else can I get you to plan for?! :)

Well, not really...the highest are:

1.) Dragster at Cedar Point: 420 feet high
2.) Steel Dragon 2000 at Nagishma Highland: 318 feet tall
3.) Millennium Force at Cedar Point: 310 feet tall

Millennium Force is the 2nd highest now until Dragster opens.

Pembo, I was seriously considering driving to the meet this Saturday, but I think my nephew is having a bowling party that day for his birthday, and we have a spaghetti dinner that night for another nephew's Boy Scout troop. 3/1 might work. We always go away on Memorial Day weekend to my in-laws cottage. How long do you think it would take me to get to your meets? Maybe 1 to 2 hours? That's not too bad at all.

Laura - If you're going to be in Ohio on Memorial Day weekend, you could always stop over at our DIS picnic on Sunday. This will be the third annual picnic and we're hoping for an even bigger turnout than last year.

Hi Jiminy! I am from Cranberry. Are you from Dormont? I thought I saw that posted under Goofys location.

HEHE well Goofys is from dormont as well!! IN fact he lives very close to me. In fact we live in the same house!!! Did I mention that he is my Dh??? We have been talking about trying a kennywood meet but wanted to wait until we got a little closer to summer to see what things looked like before we decide if we want to try to organize something like that.

So the Millenium will move into the number 3 position?
Ok, that doesn't help me, I'm still nervous about riding it.:teeth:

If you want to purchase a DVD with a POV of Millennium Force, go to www.horsecreekproductions.com and order their Roller Coaster Adventures video. It's on volume 5. I also might have video of it from a Discovery Channel special.

Thanks Barry for the info. But I think the less I know about it, the better off I am, if I'm intending to actually get on it, which I am. Just keep me in the dark.:teeth:

Wow!! You miss a couple of days and all kinds of things happen! Dance parties, breakfasts, brunches, lunches!!!! This is so exciting!

Jiminy,

I'm up for a Kennywood meet anytime!:D
Kennywood is pretty close to me. I try to make it a couple times each summer. Been going to that park since I was wee little.
