Just returned home from a weekend of visiting both sons who are in college. We enjoyed a wonderful weekend in NC visiting my one son and the last couple of nights in Ocean City,Md visiting my other son. When I returned this evening there was a box full of goodies from Barbara (mrsheppo) and some recipes I can't wait to try.

Here's what she sent:

Colorful Corn Chowder, Hot Caramel Apple Cider, Chile Rellenos Cassarole, Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms, Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball, Slow Cooked Beef Burgundy, Drizzle Popcorn, Strawberry Cheesecake French Toast, Pumpkin Pie Cake, Holiday Hot Chocolate

Elephant Stew
1 elephant
Brown gravy
salt & pepper to taste
2 rabbits

Cut elephant into bite sized pieces- you might want to get your neighbors to help. Cook over a kerosene stove at 525 degrees until tender. This may take about 5 or 6 weeks. Add salt and pepper and cover with brown gravy. This will serve 3,800 people. If more are expected, add 2 rabbits. Do this if only absolutely necessary as most people do not like to find "hare" in their stew.

I finally got to open mine from Melinda (Mnm.Rain) Sorry it took so long, but we just got back last night.
