Are you a Single WDW fan

I am 30, single, and have visited the World many times solo. In fact, that's how I have met some really good friends, who I keep in touch with on a regular basis. One friend I have even visited at her home in Ft. Lauderdale.
I live in CA near Disneyland, so I go there regularly solo as well (for day trips only). My family is usually busy, so I go and de-stress with a little pixie-dust. I have met a lot of really good friends through pin-trading, and I met them because I was solo. The nice thing about traveling solo is you get to meet new people, to meet up with your friends while you are there, and don't have to worry about inconveniencing someone else with you. I do also travel to the World with my sorority sister about once a year, and she's also single and around my age. I also just went with my aunt who is single, and we had a blast at the Happy Haunts event and Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.

I am 40, single and will be in WDW solo on my 41st birthday at the end of April 2004!! I haven't been to WDW in 25 years, I need to GO NOW. Any tips and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.pirate:

:bounce: Congratulations!!! I hope you have a great time. I think you should set aside at least a whole day for each park. Also, no matter what you plan, stay flexible. You may find things that interest you that are not on your plan, go with it. Sometimes I have thought, well, I will come back to something, only to find that it isn't there anymore or only appears at certain times during the day and twice it happened at the end of my trip so I did not get to see some things, in my case little street performances, that I would really have liked to see. Set aside time for a meal at Canada's Restaraunt at Epcot. Definitely worth the time and the cost!!! Love that cheese soup! Cruise these boards for more tips and reviews of restaraunts and rides. I wish I could go soon!!! Most importantly, enjoy yourself!!!!

I just wanted to welcome you to the Dis Boards. I also sent you a private message because I get a little lengthy at times when I write.
This is a good place to get some helpful information. ::yes::
Have fun in planning your vacation! :)

SUPER-SINGLE gal here. single = unmarried, never been married, no kids, no boyfriend, heck i rarely date! i DO have 4 pets who keep me home and away from WDW. i'm sure i'd be there every weekend if not for them.

I never felt I technically qualified as a solo traveler until I did Disneyland Paris solo in September. Now I'm official! But, I feel like a solo WDW traveler since I've spent LOTS of time in the parks by myself. I started when I worked there and got tired of trying to find people who were off at the same time I was. Then, since moving back down here and getting a non-Disney job, I've only done day trips by myself. The only time I stayed solo in a Disney hotel, I met up with a friend who was here on vacation w/her boyfriend. AAAAAnyway... yes I qualify as a Disney nut. I even moved down here from the New Orleans area, just to be near the mouse!

Arkansas Minnie -- you make me realize how lucky I am to have found people who love Disney as much as I do and who have similar touring styles & interests. I have had 4 GREAT Disney buddies in the past, but I no longer speak with 2 and the other 2 can never seem to afford to get down here. The people I go with now don't like to do the same things I do, so I still enjoy my solo time at the parks.

Hi, my name is AllisonG. I am married, have 2 children and I just returned from a WDW trip. I would LOVE to go solo. I think it would be great to do whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted. No debating with anyone else, eat at whatever restaurant, staying out as late as I wanted. I think solo travelers have the right idea.
I just returned from a WDW trip today as a matter of fact. I felt alone on this trip. As my parents love the annual December trip to be dedicated to my 2 boys. We do whatever they want and I'm really like the nanny on this trip. Which I don't mind, my children are making memories with their grandparents, they'll have the rest of their lives. But it sort of felt solo.
Also while on this past trip I went to a WDW event. I met some new friends from the DIS (Hi KarenNY and NativeTx)and other websites. I had a blast!
Back to the subject: I really would love to partake in a solo trip, atleast once in my life.::yes::

Single, 41 (how did that happen??), and a life long Disney fan.

A friend and I will be heading back to the park in May, and doing the DCL for the first time.

Just returned from a solo trip to WDW. 40-year-old male here, probably single forever. Had a great time!

Jim

I want to join this thread!!!

I am 34yrs old, never been married, no kids, no boyfriend, no pets - just me.......live in MD - hopefully will be back in Orlando next year (lived there 1995-1997).

I have been a Disney fanatic for as long as I remember......and don't see any end in sight.....my mother even asked my sister if I was ever going to grow up!

I had 2 solo trips this year........I'll go even if I can't find anyone to go with me.

So glad to see that I'm not the only one out there!!!

Happy Holidays!

 Happy Holidays to all you solo/single WDW Fans!
Thanks for all your responses. I wish you all a wonderful Holiday Season. I'll be heading to northern Montana for about a week. Celebrating Christmas with my Mom and older sister and making plans for a forthcoming vacation to WDW next summer. We are looking forward to making this a vacation full of wonderful memories.::yes::
The suggestions and input we have received from the Dis Boards has been great. It's so nice to know that there are others like ourselves who are single adults and love WDW!
:goodvibes

Yep - There are several of us "always here" solos who should probably be around if any other visiting solos care to meet.

Just PM!

Shari

Will be at the world from 3/9 - 3/19. Met a couple from NJ on the Disney Cruise in 2001 and every year we meet up at WDW. Will spend sometime with them but would love to meet up with other solo's. Have done the solo thing many times but always room to make new friends. Let me know if you will be there then.

I will be here in March (will be gone from late April to probably late May). Send me a PM closer to your visit if you'd like to meet one day.
