Just returned from a Magical Trip & would like to give a review of this fun dessert party!
We attended on 7/12 & this was a surprise for DD12. (We were traveling with another family & it was surprise for their DD9 as well) Knowing the possibility of the dessert portion of this party could be moved inside due to weather, we watched the forecast all afternoon. Around 6:00 we were in the area of Norway & we noticed a CM holding a sign for the dessert party check-in. As I took DD into the store, DH checked us in & received wristbands. He was told to return around 7:30-7:45. While we waited, we went to the Mexico pavilion & that was when we surprised DD & DD firend with the wrist bands (needless to say they were so excited!)
By 7:40 we were back at the Norway Pavilion, along with several other families, and were escorted upstairs. The party area is a nice size, we did not feel crowded at all. We were escorted to our table, which we shared with another family & we had a nice conversation about Slinky Dog...lol. We were happy to be inside in the AC as the humidity that day was bad. We appreciated that this dessert party has tables & chairs. There is also a restroom upstairs.
On to the desserts! The specialty drinks were good, I liked the margarita over the sangria. I did not go to the bar, DH did, so I do not know what other adult beverages were offered. There was coffee, tea, water, soda & I think POG juice. Savory - spicy trail mix, bread, pita, broccoli & cheese fondue. Desserts - fruit platter, blue velvet cupcakes, rice crispy treats in the shape of a bonbon, lemon curd cups, almond cookies (sooo good!), key lime tarts, eclair/macaroon cookies, ice cream, warm S'mores cake, warm bread pudding with caramel (not sure what this was exactly called, but it was yummy!!), and the frozen nitro popcorn - I could have eaten this all night!!
After desserts, we were given 3D glasses (which were really fun to use) and escorted to the viewing area. The CMs had this so organized - kuddos to them!! The viewing location was spectacular! We were not crowded or on top of the next family. After the show was over, we waited about 5 minutes, then the CMs escorted us back to the ride, we walked the full standby line, which was fun. After the ride, we walked to the main entrance to exit the park.
This was a great dessert party & a wonderful way to watch Illuminations. Riding Frozen Ever After is a plus as we did not need a fastpass.
Fastpasser - thank you
for all your insight on this thread and Thank you to your fellow CMs!! We had a wonderful evening!!
