Sci fi dine in and ABC Commissary closing

No...the dining plan ruined the menus and the convenience of dining in wdw...lemmings ruined it and I despise them for it

How do you really feel?

There is no way they close as Sci-Fi, the most popular restaurant in the park, though with those permits just being filed for GMR I would not be surpised to see ABC go

The address does not include those buildings. The space is so small it would be no plus.

I love Sci Fi's theming, but we can't eat there anymore, not unless they have fixed the darned camera. The last two times we went, the film was so out of focus that by the end of both times, my oldest daughter had to go to the ladies room to throw up, and I had a splitting headache for hours afterwards. Plus the food at the time was grossly overpriced. No theming is worth a $23 bowl of pasta smaller than a $2 frozen dinner from the grocery.

I have never gotten the pasta at Sci Fi, but I've never found the portions, for years, to be less than huge! Like, bigger than a doctor would recommend a human eating in one sitting huge. The burgers/sandwiches and fries are giant!

I agree with this but let me take it one step further. They need more "quality" food options. IMO, this park is a cesspool when it comes to dining options, especially counter serve options.

Absolutely...disney has given food love in recent years to every park EXCEPT studios...and it needs it probably the most.

I assume Disney felt like you could hop over to Epcot for "good food options" so didn't want to invest into food for HS.

Only ambitious...or park "lazy" people like me...can effectively do that...

Might change when the ski lift opens...we'll see

I figure people are like me and have knocked out the entire park in a couple of hours. I now just stay long enough to grab a cocktail and snack at HBD, if that, or I'm out for more productive things - like some tuna poke by the pool at the Swolphin.

The martini flight, Cobb, and dessert trio on the patio...then a straightshot out

If not for SW Dessert party and Fireworks, i'm done with HS by noon and that is I move slow.

Are you stalking me at WDW? Although sometimes its splitting the sliders and trio instead. I don't split drinks though. WDW's propensity to absurd portions doesn't extend to booze - buttholes:)

I used to stalk your archetype around 2000 at wdw - I pulled off a couple of renditions of "Paradise by the dashboard light" duets with a few random fair hairs I barely knew at Jellyrolls - but I retired :ssst:

And why can't we get a fast breakfast in the park? They do it in Disneyland.

Insert my typical lamentation about bagels and lox and the sad, sad state of WDW bagels in general. Like no one is WDW wants a bagel sandwich, a good smear, some freaking rainbow bagels...ugh.

Easy New Yorker...bagels aren't a big thing everywhere...

Not a New Yorker, just my favorite breakfast and I'm shocked that WDW does such a terrible job of a basic bagel, and that there's virtually no smoked salmon for breakfast anywhere on property. I have clocked hundreds and hundreds of nights in NYC though.

ETA: I'd happily take a plate with toast points/bagette from a place like Les Halles even.

If you cry for bagels...you must be from New Jersey, Long Island, or Connecticut...it's the law
