Jan 2009 Code Watch

I've been so excited waiting with you all. But alas, the 4/3 deal isn't applying to the ASMu suites. Other rooms yes, suites-no. We are a family of 5, tight budget, and really need the refridgerator & microwave for a few meals in room. Also, tall teens so a bed for ea. is imperative! Playing online I see Saratoga Springs and others more expensive, but just can't think what else is an option for us. We're also headed to Kennedy Space Center, and will go to Univ. Studios for 2 days so staying at RPR on property for the "front of the line" tickets. What am I missing as far as values? :confused3

Mine didn't either. For those of you whos did, was this your original booking or a reservation change? I had the package info in my original booking, but nothing other than an invoice for my change when I applied the deal.
Mine says all that and is a change to an existing reservation. Although I changed it again yesterday morning and haven't gotten the new email yet. Think I'd better call.

Price out the cost of two values instead of the suite. It usually works out cheaper and you get two bathrooms:thumbsup2 .

How can you see all that on your email confirmation? Mine doesn't have any of that info.:scared1:
I first received a confirmation by email that just said the basics. Then I received another email that broke everything down on the receipt.

We're in the same predicament - me, DH, DS14, DS12, and DD8. We chose to do 2 rooms at Pop so that we will have 4 beds and 2 baths. Try pricing that out, we won't have the microwave or fridge (unless we do a fridge swap) but the space is a big difference. Also, if you choose to go that way, ask the CM about doing it as two seperate reservations but linked together with guaranteed connecting rooms (if the ages of your kids qualify). This way, we are to be getting 2 $200 gift cards.:woohoo:

Good Luck

Yesterday they still had suites for my dates(may15-22)today they didn't. I have a family of 5 with one extra tagging along. I was able to get a Cabin at Fort Wilderness for about $400.00 more and we will save money by cooking and eating most meals in the cabin.

We did this this past May and it was good having the 2 rooms but the only problem is you have to pay the 200.00 deposit 2 times to hold both rooms. That is why we went with the Cabin too. Also it has a full kitchen so that will be a big difference.

I dont know if this has been suggested but did you price out a room at Port Orleans Riverside? The rooms in the Alligator Bayou section sleeps 5 depending on the ages of your kids. They have 2 full beds and a trundle bed.

hoping someone can help me figure this out..

I currently have booked jan 24-31 at Pop.. I was thinking maybe doing a second package for 7 nights at Pop from Jan 31-Feb7th.. going back and making the first reservation a 10 day base ticket and then the second one I would make a 1 day base ticket for both me and DH..

When I just called the CM told me I couldnt have 2 bookings.. so I hung up and called back and the second CM told me the same thing.. but I see others here have 2 bookings.. should I call back again and hope to get someone different? the second CM told me that I can only have a max of 10 nights.. I explained I wanted to do a separate reservation for the 2nd week but she says I cant..

Here are a few suggestions...

book the 1st room in your name for 1 guest and book the 2nd room under your husbands name for 1 guest. When you check in add the 2nd person to the room reservation. This would only work if you are not getting the DDP.

or you could book both rooms for 2 guests with the DDP. Put your name as the primary on the 1st res and your husbands name as the primary on the 2nd res.

Just a thought:confused3

We are staying an extra night !!! Yes I know its only an extra night (and sadly I have to give up CSR Club Level to do it) but it worked out cheaper even with DDP then my original reservation. PLUS we get $200 GC?! not too shabby.

Anyway for those asking if it mentioned the GC on your reservation---I got an email with a link and the link had this information:

Looking at that it still has my DME leaving on the 30th--but once I change my flights I'll have to call and change it.

Could anyone book two separate reservations? One for one week and anotherone for another?

I intend to do that but I`m not sure you can do it.

I would think you could if you booked them separately - or under different names & phone numbers (home & cell?) - but you'd have to check out & check back in. If you tried to link them in anyway, they may take away the second week's discounts. You may be able to do the buy 4, get 3 two weeks in a row, but I don't know if they'd give you $200 for each week - or consider it one vacation - if they're linked, that is.

This is exactly what we did. Mary, from Mousesavers gave me the great advice to do this! (Thanks Mary)
We are staying 14 nights. We booked 7 nights under one package, and 7 under the other. We will be getting 2-$200 gift cards with each package. The CM did link them together. However, we may have to switch rooms after that first week...but we are saving a lot by doing it this way and we were originally only gonna have 10 day PH, now we will have a park ticket for each day!

Does anyone think that there's any chance of a Disney Visa code coming out for January? Or have they booked up so much with the 7 for 4 deal that they won't have any need?

Okay, since you guys are the experts, about the $200 gift card....do you know if I could use that to buy a ticket into Blizzard beach on one day?

Yes...and this is WAY off topic but your youngest DD was born at home unassisted...:scared1: I bet that is a great story.
