Disney Projects (Activity Book, T-shirts, Noteboard for Door)

OMG the LGMH's you are gonna hand out to people you meet from the DIS are just TOO CUTE ---- never know i may just run into you there (only 10 more days til i leave  ) and get myself one of them.

Oh, I hope I run into you...I'll be updating my PTR in the next day or so with our itinerary, so hopefully one of your day will match.

And here are the LGMH for my stroller and Baggalini

I also made little LGMH tags to put on my baggalini. I think i will tell my son to make one for the kids stroller with his DIS name on it. My husband and I will be there with him and DDIL and grandkids (DGD4.5 and DGS 2). Sept. 13-24..... CAN'T WAIT - I think I am more excited than the kids --- my husband thinks I am nuts. LOL

Hey, can you post a pic of your family (if you do that sort of thing)? I'd love to know whom I should be looking for...

I never posted a pic before, but later today I will try to do one. I have one of us all from last years trip to Disney World I will see if I can figure out how to post it. ;)

Wonderful! If you register for an account with Photobucket, it'll make it easier for you to post pics. Most people on here use Photobucket.com

Tks for info Marshay --- I just registered at photobucket and am gonna try to post a pic on POTD ***** I hope it works for me

Hey Marshay --- it's me again ***** I posted a pic on picture of the day of the whole family from last years trip, but it came out really BIG :confused3

go back to photobucket, click EDIT on the picture you want to change and then go to Resize and pic a smaller size. I'll check out the thread now

Here is the final pre-trip project (yeah, now I can start to pack!)

I got this from Michaels -- I did nothing to the covers on this one. It was a simple accordian black paged scrapbook but I decided to use it for our schedule.

And here are the details of two pages

another great project for your trip --- (and just wanted to tell you that the matching shirts and dresses we had on were from Disney Shopping.Com.... We have 3 different matching set (all of us) and my son, daughter-in-law and the kids have 5 or 6 matching sets

What a great idea for the accordian scrapbook! I saw them at Michael's and I was thinking what in the world do you use that for? Not big enough for an autograph book, but it looks perfect for your schedule. Now I'm going to have to go to Michael's and get one for my November trip-I've already been working on clipboards and trying to finish my scrapbook from the last trip.:lmao:

Thanks...I offered to make one for my mom but she said she'd rather have it for a small scrapbook, so I'll make hers into a scrapbook after the trip. But because of the design of the book, you can't really use lots of 3D stuff (buttons, ribbons, etc). So that's when I thought, how about a simple itinerary book?!

Please show us your clipboards!

So my DH surprised me today with this -- our light-up green MH for the stroller! He made it tonight all by himself!!

And here is what it looks like not lit up:

Well, we are back from our 11 days in Disney World -- what a great time we had!!

I thought I'd provide a brief update on how our craft projects worked out.

1) Disney Activity Book for Plane
On the way down to Disney, DD looked through book for about 5-10 minutes and then was done. All that time and effort...wasted....

BUT

on the plane ride back, she just wanted to page through it and she really loved the games (lift the flaps) and the sticker fun pages. She did all but 3 of the stickers. Yeah -- all that time and effort...good...

THEN

today, we had a babysitter for DD while I had a doc appt...when I got back, all DD wanted to do was play with the book. When she got to the end, she'd look up at me and say, "more, more". She worked on the book for 40 minutes, telling us the name of the characters, imitating the 'hula dancing girls' from IASW, pointing out "Buzz LIghtyear", etc. Woo Hoo!! all that time and effort...worthwhile!
-----------------------

So DD really just needed to experience Disney first in order to enjoy the book more!

Alas, I only had one Dis meet with Oceania, whom I hadn't met before. We met at the parking lot in MK one morning.

So I now have 29 LGMH for my next trip!

We decided that DD meeting the characters was enough and we did not go for any autographs, so my cute little clipboard remained in the luggage...but it'll be ready for the next trip!

This was the best, coolest thing to do!! We got so many compliments and funny comments. It felt so good when asked, :"What store did you find your shirts in?" to say -- I MADE THEM!

The shirts made staying together so easy and one night saved my marriage!! DH decided to go in the park early to take pics and DD and I stayed in the room so she could nap. When I got to MK I was supposed to call DH. Well, I called 3 times and all 3 times it went directly to voicemail. ARGH!! Now where is he?!?!?!?! and why isn't his phone on?????

So we are walking down Main Street and I look at the area with Walt and Mickey in front of the Castle and voila! There is our blue/turquoise/purple crystal tie dye shirt with a pink Mickey on it!! If he had been wearing anything else, I think we would have walked right on by..but in this shirt, I could see him from about 60+ feet away.

At BCV, we had many good wishes written on the note cards and on the door sign itself. The front desk and the maid also left us special pins, too! That I was not expecting. One person left us an unopened pack of crayons (like the kind you get in a restaurant).

We only had 2 'non-magical' comments -- one person wrote GAY on the sign and I changed it to G'DAY. Another person wrote -- Mickey is poopin' next to the picture of Mickey with his eyes looking up.

Now, on to write up my Trip Report and then start working on the next crafts!!:lmao:

Very cute use of the accordian book! Glad you had a good time :)

Did you use the door notepad? Did you get any notes from disers?
