I don't believe I have a wide range of chances of getting any of these items other than by trading since my location is well, lets say very far a way and a trip for me and my family (5 ppl), costs us generally around $30,000 so well, do the math, it's very expensive for us to make one of those trips, and we're more likely to stay at cheaper hotels than the Disney ones, meaning I am very far away of the posibility of getting any of the items. If I do happen by any chance to get the pin and hat through a trade, I will state I have recieved it and there's no need to gift, but currently, I am in the want for one.

if you stay at lets say the red roof in, the cheapest hotel you are still very close to Disneyland only around I believe $120 a night. You could stay a few extra days with that saving, you can get the free breakfasts, and snacks to also save around $30-$40 a morning on breakfast. The tip is to eat not at resturants but deli's and quick stop carts to save. We spend around $5,000-$6,000 total on our disneyland trips including food, and trinkets staying at the Grand californian or the Disneyland hotel in a standard room (sleeps 4 and sometimes comes with a day bed, you can also request roll away). WDW is the place where you spend thousands a day which is not the place that is giving away this hat, only DL.
