Flickr

I haven't checked to see if the Greasemonkey plugin I use is compatible (looks like it can't possibly be), in which case I will resist the new Flickr as long as possible. That plugin (AllSizes+) makes things so much easier.

On the drop down "Share it", pick grab the HTML, pick the side, copy and paste.. Worked for me.

This is the HTML you get.
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ssanders79/3155473511/" title="Jurassic Park - Lego Style by ssanders79, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3094/3155473511_df59b5c468_s.jpg" width="75" height="75" alt="Jurassic Park - Lego Style"></a>

That method requires you dig out the image URL to post on the boards. Before you could just copy the static image url.

I also find the beta site to be quite slow.

I got the shock of my life when I went to link one of my photos. Can anyone help me, so I can post a picture to this forum? Nothing is familar with this new flickr. HELP!!!

Obviously the new Flickr won't let me post!! Smugmug will!! I may be switching.

There are multiple ways to do it. The way I do is click on the image, then on "all sizes" in the upper right. Click on the size you want to post. Then right click on the image and click copy image url/location. You can then post that here.

That's my problem. With the new page "all sizes" is gone. Its under a drop down menu and there is no URL. I'm really confused. When I use the drop down to the "all sizes" and right click, there is no option. I tried copying the url in my browser and that didn't work. Under the drop down for Share this Photo, I copy the link and paste to the square mountain box above and below is what I get but no image. I also tried the "short version" still no luck.

Calm down and follow these steps carefully...you are missing some steps I am describing. I am using the new Flickr so trust me you can link to your images.

1. Click on your image on the image page itself...this should enlarge the image and black-out the background

2. Click on "view all sizes" in the upper right corner

3. Choose size

4. Right click on image and click copy image location/url.

5. Paste it here in the insert image dialog.

You can also do the following:

1. Click actions

2. Click view all sizes

3. Go to step 3 above.

Unfortunately, I don't get the option of "copy image location/url.
I only have "copy".

That's what you get for still using internet explorer ;)

Right click and go to properties. Highlight the address(URL) and hit CTRL+C and you'll have copied the image URL.

OKAY, that is much better. I have been working with computers for 43 years going back to the 60's with vacuum tubes! That was about to drive me crazy. May I ask which browser you are using? And by the way, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I've used pretty much all the bigger name browsers but my favorite is still Mozilla Firefox because it has the ability to color manage. If you don't know what this is then I don't want to get you confused in an attempt to quickly explain it but it's really important to me. I also like google chrome but last I checked it did not support color management.

Glad you got it working.

I used Mozilla several years back, but had to switch back because the DW and the rest of the family could not adapt to the change on our desktop computer. Now that there is a proliferation of laptops throughout the house, I may switch back. Again, thanks for the help.
