Hello there fellow GF fans ..its been a while..and I see there there are lots of trips coming up......and logpey was kind enough to share lots of terrific pics here...thanks from me too!! ...pictures are the next best thing to being there...

I love the fans!! I don't like my room freezing cold, a nice 70 works for me with the addition of fan for air movement.
Hate that fans are disappearing. And the light fixtures they replace them with are ugly!! At Poly fans really worked with resort theming. Ugh.

Sadly Sue I think they are all going to be gone for good...

I thought I saw 10:00 but your probably right. Happily Ever After is only on Wednesday of that week. I've never gone or seen WDW for Halloween, I didn't realize how that all worked. We're going to be at California Grill that evening and I think we might be able to catch the fireworks right before we leave.

It is getting real now......only 2 more weeks. Everyone at work is already panicking because I will be gone for 10 days Sucks to be them

So excited!! I can't wait to pull up in that Magical Express bus and step out at the GF, breathe in that beautiful scent, and gaze upon the fresh flowers throughout the resort on the way to our resort room. Ahhhh.......

GaDisneyDad Just wanted to say thanks..as always for sharing your experiences and opinions..they are more helpful than you can imagine!

~We are recently back from a quick GF stay..have some pics that I will be back to share...I am happy to report that it was in deed a grand stay ...and I can't wait to go back...there's a surprise right...lol...One recent improvement for CL guests..hoping this will be the norm now?? ...we were greeted upon our arrival..and escorted to the lounge for check in..a much better way to start the trip IMO than not being sure where to check in..will be back with more details...and pics too...one of the most fun parts was getting to catch up with Trish and her lovely DD...thanks again Trish it was a grand afternoon!! ...

Yes, I meant to say Boca Chica not Sago Cay. I meant half of BPK might have been open as they looked to be working only on one side of its building, closest to main building!

Blue that is good they've gone back to escorting you to CL for check in. I guess they received a lot of negative feed back from that move of taking it away. They charge enough for CL what's the big deal about escorting you up?

Te room refurbishment was definitely a while back..the only changes that I have seen, and we were at the GF this past spring also...is the changes from ceiling fans to a light fixture...and yes the runners and htrow pillows are gone too....

As far as general resort refurbishment....every summer June thru August I believe, they do exterior work like power washing and painting....which we did see going on at Boca Chica while we were there...made pool time a little noisy......lol....

Beds look so naked now. The runners and throw pillows really tied things together.

Curious, how did you arrive when you had the greeter? We take a driver/Tiffany Town Car and never seem to have good luck with greeters at any of the resorts, even back when they were more prevalent. I've often wondered if my arrival method had something to do with the experience??

I was told on these boards that people were stealing them. Now we all pay the price I guess. I hate the big white blob beds now. They just look "stupid". If someone steals, then make them pay the cost. I don't know, it's just crazy.

What Lisann said, people were stealing them I don't understand it either. If items are missing why wouldn't they send a bill. And really, if you can afford to stay at GF you can afford to buy the dang pillow!!

Sometimes it is hard to explain why we can't have nice things. But stealing is why.

And often people will have an expired credit card on their reservation. Or one that expires shortly thereafter. There are many ways to avoid paying for a charge. And people are well versed in all of them.

I stayed in two different rooms this trip, both in Sugar Loaf Building and I had throw pillows on my sofa in both rooms! I just didn't have ceiling fan in Marina View room, but I did in Turret Room in the turret area, not the bedroom part.(New light fixture) I have both room video's on my FB page.

Yes, I suggest 5th floor RPC, perfect large window for viewing. I'll try to actually post the picture of the window that has the best vantage point!

The tv console looks like it is being cut and a larger tv is being mounted directly to the wall with the addition of more outlets.

YES! Disney has to know when things go missing after certain guests leave. Sad they are gone. Back in December we only had the runners and not the red and gold bed pillows. Guess we can expect less in October.
