I love credit cards so much! v4.0 - 2021 (see first page for add'l details)

I know this is a credit card thread, but everyone here seems very well versed on all things financial, so I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge / information on student loan refinancing. My DD2 graduated in May 2020 and has a loan through Discover that she's working on paying down. We were talking about it today and her rate is around 6.5% and I would think it could be better. Is the best thing just to call a few places to see what the rates are currently if she'd refinance it? She has a very good job and is making pretty big payments toward it (she's still living at home until she gets it paid off), but would love to save on the interest if possible.

I know this is written on DOC, but just in case someone here doesn’t read it.

The bonuses for Barclay‘s promotion around the holiday have posted! I know a few people on here took advantage on here.
I have an old Upromise Barclay so I got $600 for spending $4000. I thought it would have shown up in my rewards acct but it was just a statement credit which is great.

Thanks! I see DH’s!

DW refinanced her student loans a couple years ago through SoFi and I don't remember the exact rate, but it's under 4%. Also elected for a 5-year payoff, the shortest term, and I think that was the only one eligible for the lowest rate. I'm sure things have changed. SoFi had the best rates at the time, though.

The last set of Hyatt bonus nights just posted for my mattress runs. that takes me to 48 nights. Should have no problem working my way to 60 nights before year end and hopefully 2022 can be a wonderful travel year. :car: 🛩 🛳 🏖

I haven't flown anywhere for a year! 😪
I have a CP that hasn't been used. I have a $75 credit from last year that I haven't used. I'm really on the fence about this. If I start flying sometime this year, it's a really useful card. Otherwise, it's not.
This sounds very familiar. I haven't used my CP either and likely will not before it expires. I used the $75 credit last year to purchase a SW GC that I applied to a flight I thought I was taking before everything went crazy. Now that money is a SW travel credit that will likely expire before I can use it. I called twice to ask for a retention offer on my priority. No dice. I also called twice about my plus card and no offer for that one either. I cancelled the priority and kept the plus.

DH has this Bonvoy offer. Is there a way to check to see if I have it also? (I just noticed it in his email.)View attachment 560621

I don't have it and I searched promos and couldn't find anything. It says 'stay' - how long does the stay have to be?

I do have a promo for 22k points after 3 stays of 1 night each and another for double points and double credits after each 2 night stay. And, I have to get going if I want to double dip on those.

First time flying SW as a family at end of April and I'm a bit anxious about the boarding process. We have our DD5 twins and DS8 (the twins actually turn 6 on the trip).

Will they let all 5 of us board during family boarding or just me and the twins? Should we get EB for DH and DS? Also, is it 6 and under or under 6? WWYD?

With 2 under 6(actually under 7), both parents should be allowed to board. I'm not sure how they consider the 8yo but I have never seen SW enforce anything on the family boarding. If you are nervous, buy EB. Just don't show up late to the gate and expect people to move to accommodate you if you miss family boarding.

So I bought myself a flower arrangement for my kitchen table on Etsy (dog is finally too old to lay on the kitchen table when I'm out) and used paypal on March 1. Amex credit is already there so no issues this month:)
Nice! I decided to double dip and used mine along with my Saks credits and treated myself to a Tory Burch bikini for HI. This is a real splurge over my typical Target swim suits.

Woke up to Hawaiian Air emails that our flights are cancelled. I am on hold t speak with CS, but looks like all direct flights from BOS are cancelled. We can fly from JFK, which is less convenient. When we booked JFK was a cheaper option. Now JFK flights 2x as expensive and we don;t have enough FF miles to cover the 2 flights we booked with miles, sototal flights alone cost more than we budgeted for the entire trip. Has this happened with anyone else? I am hoping the CS will let us re-book from JFK for the same cost (or even the lower fare). The email/website only gives me the option of rebooking at the more expensive fare or refund everything.

Thanks for the heads up. I have a Rewards World MC and my bonus posted as points. Which is great because I was planning on adding the bonus to my Disney savings account.

You reminded me. Puggles doesn’t get on the kitchen table but he does think he is a cat and is always laying and walking on top of the sectional. 350385BC-8ABE-49F6-914D-0011D7006A4F.jpeg

The right thing to do would be rebook you on the flight you want at the same price. I’ve normally never had problems getting an airline to do that but I have had to call/message them when the online system tried to charge more (Delta). However the only thing they have to do is give you a refund.
