Last time you were "drunk"

I got drunk, really drunk, in June at a concert.....like leaning on my friend to walk out and telling everyone how much I love them and barely remember parts of the night kind of drunk. Wicked fun night! The next morning was horrendous. I probably do that once every couple of years at a concert or a wedding and then regret it the next day. Normally I just prefer a drink or 2 or a little buzz.

One of the reasons I don't drink (aside from the gross taste of alcohol and the fact that I don't like to feel altered) is that I have SEEN video of myself drunk. Sweaty, stupid, falling down, loud....and I never ever want to be seen like that again ever.

Late in 1972.

The one and only time I got drunk was when future FIL suggested I try some wine at a dinner. Had my first sip of "real wine" and liked it. We knocked off the bottle and some. After dinner I was in the back yard flat on my back looking at the Milky Way spinning around for some time so future wife, currently 46 years, took me home in her car. Not like that ever again but had gotten tipsy with his help a few more times before he died.

Ooooh, yeah, I hate the thought of myself on video drunk...yikes. I totally see how that could make me scared straight lol.

Add me to the never been drunk group.

I had my first baby when I was 19, so my priorities were different. My husband and I just aren't big drinkers, and I can't really justify the cost as we have a big blended family. Also, my stepkids' mother has a drinking problem (got her third DUI last year and her license taken away), so I don't want them seeing us with alcohol and add to their stress/worries.

I'll have a drink or two on occasion; a beer with hotwings, or some "girly drinks" when on vacation with just the DH. The last time I drank was in June at Epcot; I did the wine walk.

I've never blacked out, thrown up, or had a hangover. The worse "drunk" I ever got has been "pretty impaired". I think the last time that happened was our 20th wedding anniversary, about 3 years ago.

My mom is a recovering alcoholic (35 years sober this year!), so I try to have a healthy respect for alcohol.

My reply is similar.. We went out for dinner and a movie (Love Story) sigh... on our 10th Anniversary, I drank wine with our dinner, and it didn't take much. On our way home we stopped so that Dh could drool over the new motorcycles through the shop windows. The story goes I'd told Dh that he worked so hard, blah, blah, blah, he "deserved' a motorcycle.

Long story short, it was a Suzuki.:moped:

My dad was an alcoholic during the first 14 years of my life, then a recovering alcoholic for the following 15. He died young at 63, when I was 29. I too have a healthy respect for alcohol. Kudos to your Mom!

I honestly can't even remember. The last time I was tipsy was when I joined an adult bowling league where it was BYOB and everyone was pushing the alcohol. I'm not much into bowling so the wine made it much more enjoyable :) Probably the last time I was really drunk was in my early 20s.

I was recently "drunk" on a cocktail of painkillers and xanax after my biopsies. My son came home from school to find that I had fallen off the couch and was stuck between the couch and coffee table, and I had drunk-texted a bunch of people. Lol, I had a lot of explaining to do to my phone contacts! My teenager found the whole thing hilarious and couldn't stop laughing at me after he helped me up.

Seriously thought, I was last "drunk" years ago. Technically it was a Guarana binge (drank something blue, was bouncing off the walls for hours saying, "Wowee, I am soooo outa it!" but in pure terms, it must have been 2002 when I drank a bottle of blue nun white wine. No hang over though. Guess I was lucky. Tee total ever since.

We were on a Disney cruise - stopped in Nassau. Signed up for a Wine class on the port day. We were the only 2 people to show up. At first the sommelier (sp?) was slightly disappointed but when he saw that we literally knew nothing about wine and were very excited to learn he ended up having a great time teaching us. Except husband barely drinks, so I kept finishing his. And since it was just the 2 of us they kept refilling things soooo much as we were talking. I have probably never been that drunk in the middle of the afternoon in my life.
