Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

We're usually all together. But my family may not get me to leave RPC so if you see a female sitting alone with a book, that might be me - lol!

I totally see where you're coming from! RPC is so cozy/relaxing that it makes it hard to leave...lol. It's easy to spend several hours just sitting there taking in the surroundings :cloud9:.

That sounds great!!! We decided our first 2 days will be dedicated hotel days, so we should definitely see each other a lot! It will be me, DH, DD 9 and DS 6! We’ll also be with two family members (so 6 in total). I’ll definitely keep an eye out!! We might even see you the day before we check in! We’re having dinner at Narcoossees and after we’ll be exploring the property to try and figure out where our room might be and to familiarize ourselves with the locations of the pools, etc. Looking forward to possibly meeting!!

I hope you and TJA get to meet up! I've met a few Disers who I've become very good friends with over the years. It's fun meeting Disers/forming friendships and putting a face to those you "chat" with on these boards :goodvibes.

I know, it would be great! It would be my first Dis boards get together!! :disrocks:

Good morning my friends, I know there has been discussions on DSS securing FP, pardon my repeat but I'm looking for recent experiences. We have the *fortunate* problem of being at Las Vegas to celebrate my youngest daughter turning 21, the week that our FP window opens. Along with the time change, and my health issues which I've bored you all about enough, waking at 4 am local time to secure FP, actually being able to sleep again and then go on a planned excursion at 7 am that day....well it's really not setting me up for a grand day for my Grand helicopter tour over the Grand Canyon! Seriously, how did I get so lucky!

Anyhow....I've decided to let DSS make our FP as the earliest I couldn't get to them would be about 10:30 EST and they will have been at work 90 mins already. We are planning on AK on our fifth day after arrival, but fourth park day. Does the window open according to when we check in, even if we aren't going to a park that day? We have a 6 day hopper for a 7 day split stay (last night at GF non CL)

So here are my specific questions -- with AK being further into our stay, likelihood of DSS securities FOP? I will keep checking of course if they can't get it

the day we check out and head to GF,our adult children will be arriving and 5 of us going to MK. Can DSS make FP for all of us since we are checking out of YC that day? I realize the technical answer is they can only for registered CL guests, but any ideas of if they would if all our MDE are linked and have tickets uploaded on FP window day?

FYI our FP window date is 12/27/17 for an arrival date of 2/25/18; touring plans crowd calculator that week is a 5. It is the week following the Princess half-marathon. I have a touringplans.com subscription so I can include our rough plan for DSS for making FP; most importantly scheduled break back to the hotel during the day

Thanks everyone! I feel like this is a very needy post......I appreciate your time!

My family is staying at the Poly CL Theme Park View in early February. This is our first time staying CL and first time at the Poly. In the past, we have always ordered water bottles from Garden Grocer. Will that be necessary for our trip in February or is there bottled water in the lounge that we can take? Thanks

Hi there. Poly CL does not have bottled water available, just a container of filtered water out in the lounge to fill cups. However, CMs are happy to fill any personal containers with filtered water from the back, feel free to ask. They generally don’t want you to fill your own from what’s in the lounge for spigot/hygiene concerns.

Hope you enjoy Poly CL!

ETA: If I’m on a longer trip, I usually buy the multi-packs of Dasani water from the Poly store. $3.99 for an 8-pack of 12 oz bottles.

Again I love Hawaii but we had lots of great food and drinks on OUR OWN TIMETABLE.

Next stop however I have bwi lv cl split with Gf RPC . Taking my Mom and I want to spoil her since she may not be up to any/many more trips.

I did a recent BC stay in a standard room. I liked the proximity to Epcot (we were very near the entrance that is close to the International Gateway) but I really missed the CL breakfast. It was so busy in the mornings and the Marketplace was a zoo. It was a good price though.

Next trip I am combining CR garden wing with RPC. It gives us time to get settled the first night and eat dinner at 'Ohana on night two then we can relax at GF for the remainder of our trip. The first two days savings alone will pay for any meals and drinks!

Our FP window was last week for Christmas and as we love FOP I was concerned that we wouldn't be able to secure fast passes for this busy period. I had absolutely no problems and have got it twice - 26th and 28th December. You shouldn't have any problems at 60 days out.

What a great place to celebrate a 21st. We visited Vegas for the first time in the summer as my DS was 21 - I can't wait to go back again.

Well I've completly contradicted everything I said about the YC and have just changed our Christmas reservation from the WL to here. After reading a few posts about the 'club level access' I wasn't feeling particularly confident about the WL. We love staying around the Boardwalk at Christmas and truth be told I'd been secretly yearning to go back to the BWI. I priced a standard view club level room and it came in at only $67 more than what we were paying for the WL with our AP discount for the first few days. I've spoken to the YC who have assured me that dogs are so far not being allowed on the club level floor and as my DS and DH keep reminding me, service dogs have always been allowed in Disney hotels. I've always loved the YC and feel so hypocritical after saying that I wouldn't stay here as long as the policy was in place yet now I'm so excited to be returning in a few weeks.

Sounds like you made the right switch for you and your family:)

I think it really helped when they added more capacity into the FOP FP system at mid-end Sept.

A DISer on BC/YC thread (named Dad...something?idk whole name sorry) says he has an absolutely solid source that has told him dogs will be in only a specific set of rooms despite the varying answers from the CMs on the phone, in upper level offices, and on-site that all have different answers. Dad has a solid rep so maybe it will help you feel a bit better :) Hope you have a wonderful time!!

I’m interested in ideas on what is appreciated for gifts for club level cast members. Since I come from a place that has gourmet jerky, popcorn, and chocolate, I was thinking of bringing a couple of gift bags and dropping them off in the beginning and middle of our stay. These items are very nice and factory sealed... not like a homemade gift basket. I recently was told All food items, even factory sealed, are thrown out by Disney cast members. Since cash isn’t an option for club level staff... what do you do?

I know some people say they bring gifts for CMs but I have not heard about food getting thrown out. Personally, I have never brought a gift in over 15 years of club level stays. I really don't mean to be snobby, but the CMs do not do anything out of the ordinary that strikes me as needing a special gift. I know people have reported "over & above" service, but those stories are few & far between. I really feel I am already paying quite a premium for club level & the services that are included. YMMV.

Hi, all-
Should room requests go through DSS for club level or through the normal room request used for regular rooms?

Thanks!

You SHOULD be excited! And you were given accurate information about non service dogs not being allowed on the Club Level floor nor lounge. I do not see that changing either.
