Wyndham has a points plus cash option called "go fast" where you can redeem as little as 3,000 points plus cash for a stay. For example, I looked up the Wyndham garden lake buena vista for October dates and it's 3,000 points plus $65 a night. So my 27,000 points can get me one free night at bonnet creek(15,000) plus 4 nights at Wyndham lake buena vista if I added cash(12,000 points). One thing to be aware about with Wyndham, though, is that there are not too many ways to earn points if you don't have the credit card. So, 27,000 points is good, but anything that doesn't divide by 15,000 means you're going to either need to do something to get some more points (like use a portal) or you'll end up making a sub-optimal redemption. Your 12,000 left over points are not worth very much if you don't have a cost-effective way to accumulate another 3,000 in the future. For that reason, I would give some thought to doing a second mattress run for an additional 7,500 points to get you over the 30,000 barrier. Is 7,500 points worth a $60 mattress run? You can't really look at Wyndham (unless you have the credit card or plan to stay at Wyndhams frequently) like other points where you figure out a points per cent acquisition cost, because the simple fact is that the incremental value of 1,000 points depends on how many you already have. If you have 1,000 points, an additional 1,000 is not worth much, but if you have 14,000 points, then 1,000 points is very valuable.
I also saw availability for Wyndham grand bonnet creek resort which is 3,000 points plus $150 cash per night. So a 5 night stay would be $600 total plus 27,000 points. Not bad. If you were to stay Christmas week when rates are $400 a night this represents great value.
