CBR $75 Gift Card deal ending

Just now my TA emailed me saying all rooms at Cbr are sold out except pirate rooms. I Doubt free dining.....

My dates still have all room types available. They are dates that were included in free dining last year. Not saying that they will offer it, but CBR definitely isn't full for all of the time they usually offer free dining.

Do you have to call or do all room reservations made by today for those dates will get the gift card automatically?

I think the honest answer (which I know doesn't help) is that no one actually knows. Unless you have a received an email directly form Disney stating your check in dates will get the GC it's a total crap shoot.

Who would ask this?! Would you ask someone, "What are you spending your cash on?" Let me tell you, if someone was rude enough to ask me what I was spending my money on, regardless of that form of money, or where it came from, they'd get a very rude response from me. Wow.

Personally, I think it would be more likely that a family who got the gift cards might be on a bus or something and be discussing "what to spend the last of their free gift cards on" and another family asking them "How do you get free gift cards?" because face it, we're all looking to save money. Or maybe they would overhear the person next to them checking in and asking questions about their free gift cards, and they in turn would ask the CM checking them in "Where are my free gift cards?". I don't think people will be going around at the resort asking what others are spending their cards on (although I could certainly see that happening here on the DIS :teeth:).

I am thinking about booking a pass holder discounted room that is during the dates ... I hate calling but maybe I should

I just did it on line. I had to cancel my room at the all stars first. with this plus the pass holder discount the cost is about the same but we will be at CBR (we do not mind the construction)
It did not say anything about a gift card, perhaps I will get an email

I booked last night. It didn't say anything about the giftcard, but am hopeful that it will be applied.

I just booked CBR direct with Disney this morning and was told that I would receive the $75 per night gift cards when we check in at the front desk. I have read from a few sources that the gift card deal will not be available after tomorrow (I did not verify this with Disney).

This morning I booked a room only at Caribbean beach resort for February 2018 in an effort to take advantage of the gift card promotion. I've never booked a room only so I'm not sure how to manage it. I know we want to add park tickets and dining. When we do, will that change our reservation and disqualify us for the gift cards?

We also have two rooms at all star in August we booked with free dining bounce back last September.
It was for two cs meals per day, two snacks and one mug.
If they have two standard rooms at CBR that I could modify that reservation to would that be a better deal ??
It would be 199 per night compared to 114 but the gift card would off set that and we would get the regular dining plan (one table service, one counter service and two snacks per person per night plus the mug)

Has anyone done this ????

That's the million dollar question. I have a reservation at CBR too and am hoping to add a promo when it comes out. I did the online chat on the website asking if that would nullify the giftcard and the person didn't know and said to email wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com. I did that and they responded saying they were forwarding my question to another department. Doesn't seem like they have their act together with these giftcards.

Yes. It will because you will be converting from a room only to a package.

Totally agree-Uncompensated Guests will find out about the GCs-it is inevitable!:)

You just know there is going to be A LOT of conversation among CBR Guests about the state of the Resort and,as another example to "piggyback" on your excellent ones-a Compensated Guest could say to an Uncompensated Guest "I know what you mean-we miss having Shutters available also, but at least Disney tried to compensate everybody by giving Guests the GCs.".

To which Uncompensated Guest will reply-WHAT GC?!!!!":)

Should be very interesting to be a Front Desk CM during the Refurb!:)

I'm not sure about that. I had a room only reservation, purchased my tickets separately. I still received the email advising of the $75 gift card.

The person in question is contemplating changing from RO to a package. If they make this change after March 19 (or 16, or whatever the last date to get the gift cards actually is), it's considered a new reservation and therefore, probably ineligible for the gift cards.
