Disney's POLYNESIAN VILLAGE RESORT Information & Questions

The main pool has the Barefoot Pool Bar which I'm almost certain is drinks only. It should be noted that Cap't Cooks - Poly's quick service restaurant - is only steps away from the main pool. The new Oasis Pool has the Oasis Bar & Grill which has beverages and food. Here's a pic of the menu from late July, appears to have very limited DDP options - a dessert and drinks.

We check in the 3rd. No email. Check MDE, maybe you got a magical upgrade

We just got one - we're booked in a studio w/ DVC points.

We got the same, we have studio booked, so it must be blanket email to cover all poly DVC reservations.

For what the bungalows go for if the AC isn't working Disney should either;

Refund a sizable portion of the cost
If there is any availability for a same size villa at any other DVC property move them, or give them 2 rooms at Club Level in the Hawaii building
Or simply don't rent the bungalows out until the AC is working correctly.

I got the same email - and I don't have a bungalow - and I'm sure I didn't get a magical upgrade - since it is just me going! I thought it was funny that in exchange for fully functioning A/C they offered daily Mousekeeping!

My friend just got back from bungalow stay last weekend. They replaced the AC with window units in the bedrooms. She showed it to me on voice chat, in the master it looks like they boarded up a glass wall or door (I think door?) and installed the window unit on the top section.

PS she said it was buggy. But they loved the accommodations. It was a weird situation, they had to use 1500+ points by the end of the year. (her parents were getting a divorce, and points were all tied up for a few years).

They were given daily mousekeeping.

I can speak to the non-DVC laundry facility..... Yes, there is a vending machine with a no name-brand laundry detergent available. Takes credit cards.

Got our magic bands. Can't wait for our stay. Poly has been my dream resort since I saw it as a kid back in the '70s and we were staying off property at the Dutch Inn.

LOL!!! I have pictures of me and my sister and cousins at the Dutch Inn from the late 70's/early 80's!! Pretty sure mom and dad snuck us into the Poly pool. I remember watching the monorail glide through the Contemporary with my eyes like ...it's why, 30 years later we bought BLT, and why this upcoming trip to the Poly with my parents is the fulfillment of a lot of dreams!

Same for me on the Contemporary. It's actually my favorite resort (people think that's so bizarre). We own BCV, but rarely stay there, because no one in the family is thrilled with it-- we each have a different favorite. Poly has been on my list for a long time, and I'm so glad we're finally staying here.

We have a deluxe studio [Lakeview] on DVC s, is Moorea the only building that has lake view studios? We are hoping first floor we will have 2 ECV's. First floor was requested by the people we are renting points from.
