Beth hope you find some time for yourself!

The older two are out the door, but the little guy decided on toast and eggs for breakfast. Maybe I won't get those couple of minutes right now after all.

So my enter key finally works! It's amazing how hard it is to function without it. We've had a busy night. After all the daycare kiddos left we had dinner and then ran out to take care of some errands. Came home and got the girls to bed. Since it's quiet here I finally worked on Mo's invite.
Mos4thinternet.jpg

Tomorrow we have Mo's first soccer game and Emma has a birthday party for a girl she went to preschool with. Not sure what we are doing afterwards but we need to get to the grocery. Sunday is Emma's first soccer game, should be interesting dealing with the coach face to face! Then another birthday party for one of Emma's classmates. So not a relaxing weekend but that's life!

Love the colors on the invite and hope the girls did well in soccer.

I have a plan to take it easy today, knock on wood, I'm feeling much better already. I hope that since I now have my sugar levels under control that I won't have such a hard time getting over illnesses.

I'm glad you are feeling better. Continued PD for blood sugar levels.

Can I ask for some pixie dust for my cousin Joe? My mom just called and he was in a car accident late last night. He is in the hospital with a concussion and injuries to his back. He does not remember what happened at all. I really wish we weren't so far away.

I'm so sorry. I was glad to read that he had been released. Since I'm in the DFW area, I'm always willing to help out if needed.

Elizabeth, I've been thinking of you all day. I have officially gone off the deep end and baked SIX boxes of cake mix today!!!

24 French Vanilla cupcakes for Alyssa's play date/open gym luncheon on Thursday

24 yellow cupcakes for Alyssa's classmates (afternoon preschool) on Thursday

24 Funfetti cupcakes for Alyssa's Fancy Nancy party on Saturday

2 ten inch Funfetti round cakes that will be used for Alyssa's birthday butterfly cake on Thursday night and another butterfly cake for a family celebration on Sunday

2 ten inch chocolate round cakes for Kevin's youngest brother for the family April birthday celebration on Sunday

2 ten inch yellow round cakes for Kevin's other brother for our family April birthday celebration on Sunday

Everything's going in the freezer to be frosted later. And now I have butter softening to whip up two batches of cut-out cookie dough later tonight.

I am INSANE!!! :rotfl:

In between all the baking, Alyssa and I hit the Carters store and spent $50 on some adorable froggie clothes and a frog plush for Noah. That will be his "theme" for his 1 week, 1 month, 3 month, 6 month, 9 month, and 12 month pictures. (We tracked Alyssa's growth with a stuffed bunny and Matty's growth with a stuffed duck.) Jen, I have a spend $50, save 20% coupon good for April, if you'd like it. I'm not allowed to go back there. ;)

Now I'm going to step away from the sugar and grill some pork chops for dinner.

Hope everyone is having a good Saturday! :wave2:

That is an awful lot of cake/cupcakes. :upsidedow I made cookies and peanut butter balls yesterday for the baseball team. I've really been motivated to bake more as I love to do it and just make sure to do it when I know I can give it all away so I don't test my willpower.

I love the frog theme. My sister did that with her daughter Hallie and Carters always has such a cute frog collection.

Elin...after reading the guys review...I made reservations at Citricos in June

I think you'll like it -- Randy and I did, and I went with my Mom and had a great meal as well. It's easier to keep the boys occupied at Narcoossee's because of the lake so we usually go there, but I do like Citricos as well.

Thank you all for the hugs concerning my friend. Sadly her sister passed away this morning :sad1: She was only 47 years old :guilty:

I'm so sorry! Sending prayers to her family.

I talked with Stephanie and we are going to want to visit Atlantis and not much else but a little shopping. As for Palo, we are going to do the Brunch on the day at sea coming back. We will do the Parasailing while at Castaway Cay. Depending on the spa offerings, I might be spending a lot of free time there.

We really love Atlantis and have visited it on our 4 short cruises. We are actually going there for a long weekend later this summer.

Bernadette - Emma is soooo cute. I think using a contrasting color for the lining is a good idea, would the shirt be reversible if you do?

Great idea. Emma is such a doll.

Wow you have fit in alot! Sounds like fun!
I was looking at the sting ray adventure for my gang however Sophie would FREAK OUT if a string ray touched her or was in the same water as her.:sad2: I know she is going to be terrified of the water at Castaway Cay since there are fish swimming in it. (In NY the water is too dirty to support life so no worries at our beach! :lmao: ) but I have a feeling she will be on dry land making sand castles at CC.

The Sting Ray thing is very cool. The staff that run it are on loan from Epcot and are so knowledgable. Both of my boys were a little scared the first time we did it, but where you feed them is very shallow. We picked Jake up and he did better, then we put him on the shore and they have stuff them to make sand castles and a staff person to watch the kids and play with them since the younger kids are frequently a little scared. By the second year we tried it, but boths were eager to feed the rays. Say hi to "Big Momma" if you go. She was their biggest ray the last couple of times we've gone -- they have all of them named.

Prayers needed for my 24 year old cousin. She has some kind of cancer. My uncle doesn't know what kind. It is female related. Her younger sister died a couple of years ago from kidney failure. She had a kidney transplant and was better for many years but then had a relapse. She died when she was 19 or 20. So sad! My 24 year old cousin has a son. I sure hope she is able to fight whatever it is she has.

Prayers sent. How sad.

Originally I thought BB as well...but now I am leaning towards TL

TL has the most fantastic wave pool -- it's actually what I call a crash wave pool. The waves are very strong and really crash all around you, versus a more gentle splash. It's quite fun!

It's been a very long day. We had hoped to sand the ceiling/walls today, but the durabond was still not dry (it isn't looking hopeful for tomorrow either). We decided to switch plans completely and put down some flooring. We had to start in the hall in front of our room because we needed to connect to our flooring. Hunter's room is next to ours so out came ALL of his furniture. We managed to get the entire room floored and I have all the baseboard trim cut and painted. Tomorrow Dad will help me install the baseboards and we can reload the room. This time for good. We also painted the ceiling, but I need to do a bit of touch up where my Dad painted. He seemed to miss some big spots. So we started at 9 AM and I finally put my paintbrush down at 11:30 PM. We really accomplished a lot and I feel good about that. We also got haircuts, well actually I got a perm. I'm trying to grow it out a bit so I needed the perm to get me through the ackward phase.

Now I'm going to sleep. :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

Congrats on getting a lot done! Are you feeling better?

I did! It took 27 minutes but I got every single thing we wanted. And, within a 5 minute window, at the times we wanted! :yay:

Congrats!

Our weekend was long, but actually shorter than it could have been. Both boys played well in their soccer games and both teams won. Andrew's baseball team played great the first game, and not so great the second game. He didn't play very well either. :sad2: I took Jake to the skating/hockey party in Plano, and he had a great time. It was after 8:30 when we got in.

Sunday was up for Church, then I baked while Randy took Andrew to batting practice for his rec team, then we went out to the baseball tournament. Before they could start their game, it downpoured. Since we had a little bit of rain on Saturday, and then Saturday to Sunday morning, that rained out the tournament. Since we were seeded second out of five teams, we got the second place trophy. It would have been very late last night if we had played the games, so we were thrilled with the outcome.

We're supposed to have storms today with possible tornadoes, and the a/c at work is still out, so with the humididity and temp (already 75, going up to 80) it's going to be a long day. One good thing -- it should rain out the baseball and soccer practices tonight. :upsidedow

Have a great day everyone. :)

Here are some pictures of Gary & the boys painting the bathroom. This gives you an idea of how yuck the bathroom looked with the white walls(which were ok)& the brown trim(this I hated).

sounds like the weekend ended up being less crowded than normal, Marci. I will continue to hope for just enough rain to stop practices tonight! But not any severe weather. :goodvibes

Gary put new flooring down, but I found a rug at Menard's that I just had to have lol. It does not really go with the floor, but it goes well with the color of the walls. I also bought a few more decorative items yesterday after work, that are not in the pictures. I love the way our bathroom looks now!

Love the new color, Janet! The guys did a great job.

Congratulations to Jake & Andrew!

Stay safe today, sorry to hear the a/c is still not working. Hopefully you will not be to miserable. it is suppose to get in the 60's here today, but it is raining & gloomy right now.

Yes I think so as well! Gary worked very hard to get the bathroom finished as quickly as possible. Being without the washer & dryer for a few days left quite a bit of laundry lol

but think how much you will enjoy doing the laundry in that bright shiny new room! :goodvibes

You all were quite chatty while I was at odds with my cut-out cookies yesterday! I don't know if it was my mood, the dough, the butterfly cookie cutter, or what, but I had a very frustrating four hours of baking. Silly!

Beth, nice to see a couple posts from you!

Janet, your bathroom looks great!

Love the top and the pictures, Bernadette!

We're big Canon camera fans, Jen.

I'd say Blizzard Beach has more "thrill" waterslides Kristine, and lots of climbing!

Hope that AC gets fixed pronto, Marci. :wizard: that the severe weather stays away, too!

Jen, hope your return to work isn't too hectic today. The end is in sight! :goodvibes

Prayers for your cousin, Vicki.

Deb, your posts are exhausting.

Yay for ADRS, Elin!

Sending you and your mom strength, Elizabeth.

How's Joe, Robyn?

Fun song choices, Chanon.

I know I'm missing details. I have a mushy, baked-out brain. :upsidedow

This morning, I'm watching my niece Nevaeh, since my MIL (her guardian) has to have a colonoscopy. Nevaeh and Alyssa are only two-months apart, but they have drastic personality differences. Please send me some patience. :teeth:

I know why your brain is mushy then, Amy. But better the brain than those cookies you spent so much time on! Hope the day is better than you have predicted.
