January 2007 Scrapbooking Challenge

luvmy2sams, could you do some preparation while he's awake? (punching shapes, assembling borders?) I bet he could even help make serendipity squares - they're good at ripping paper at that age :lmao:

You know what else they're good with...glue sticks! :rotfl: Actually DS loevs to help out, but I tend to get controlling, and he's not thrilled with that. :teeth: I'm trying to come up with a compromise...and not get too jealous of everyone's progress this month!

We're iced in this weekend, and DD doesn't have school again until Tuesday. Hopefully we won't lose power, and I'll be able to scrap the weekend away. :cool1: Why do I need power? I've become addicted to my Wishblade, even though it now sometimes takes me over an hour to do one page. Gotta love paper piecing!

I completed 5 pages this evening, and I've got a good plan in place for the weekend. Here's hoping that the power outages stay away! :wizard:

Have a good weekend everyone!

luvmy2sams--I was laughing about your DS's naps! Of course when you have a plan for that time, he wouldn't want to take it!! ;) I'll get your pages posted!

Don't laugh too hard, or I'll ship him to you, and you can babysit for awhile! :teeth: Just kidding...I'd miss the little stinker, especially with his new-found addiction to whapping everyone with the lovely WOODEN sword a genious relative purchased him. :scared:

ETA: Gotta show my precious DS now that I've talked so badly about him. :)

Well, I had a very productive crop this evening. I got a total of 11 done. And you know, they were all zoo pages!!! I tell ya, I will never again take another zoo picture ever!!! Anyway, hope to keep the fire going over the rest of the weekend.

luvmy2sams - he is ADORABLE:love: I'd babysit him, but its a bit of a long way for him to come in a parcel :rotfl2:

Thanks, MazdaUK! He's my sweet boy! :goodvibes He can be a bit of a handful if he's kept confined for too long. I guess I'll have to pass on your offer because I'd hate to put you through that. :rotfl:

As I wasn't babysitting luvmy2sams's DS I managed 2 pages this afternoon!

Do the 2 pages DS(7) did this morning count to my total as I did most of it?:rolleyes1

Too funny, MazdaUK!

I finished 8 pages this afternoon, bringing my total for the month to 15 pages. I've got plenty to do but have lost all motivation for today. :confused3

Happy scrappin everyone!

is it to late to join?:flower3: I was sitting here and feeling depressed because we just got back last week and will not be going until next year:sad2: So instead of checking myself into disney rehab i would scrap my past two trips and i would not start planning jan2008 until i am done scrapping. I had this thought yesterday and have already done 10:scared1: :scared: . My name is Kim and i am addicted to Disney(or planning i should say). But i will have control of this addiction, so i must scrap!:lmao:

Good morning, everyone! I think I have us all updated in the first post! WOW, there's a lot of scrapping going on this month, and we're not even halfway through yet!!

luvmy2sams--your little boy is adorable!! And I love that lion on the page, too! I hope you don't lose power this wknd so you can scrap to your heart's content!!

rlovew--thanks for sharing your list!! It was similar to the one I did for my 30th b-day...just things I'd never done that I wanted to do! You'll have to show us some pages from the album when you're done!!

hopemax--for me, the title page is usually the hardest. And I'm so "detail-oriented" (the nice word), that I HAVE to do it first!!

littlelambie--I was :rotfl2: about all of the zoo pages! After my b-day WDW trip, we had TONS of MNSSHP pics. I told DH that I didn't want to see Halloween stuff for a LONG time!!

dyjama--WELCOME!! Scrapping the trip is a great way to get through those post-WDW blues!! AND, it gives you all sorts of ideas for the planning of the next one!!

Happy, happy scrapping, everyone!! I hope all of you have a relaxing, productive Sunday!! :dance3:

Three more pages for me!:) DS(13) just got back from camp so now its :laundy: :laundy: :laundy: - no more scrapping til that's done

Oh, MazdaUK, have fun with :laundy: . Maybe it will go by really fast. . .leaving plenty of time for scrapping!!

I got 12 pages done today - woohoo!! Almost finished with my 2006 album, just in time to start 2007 :goodvibes

I did another page today I thought I posted but don't see it. Halloween is DONE. I added 2 more pages.

I got another 5 done tonight. I quit early because my back was so sore from Friday night's crop session. I am certainly not use to sitting in one spot for that long. But it felt good to get those 5 done tonight. That puts me at the middle of June 2006. At this rate I might actually be caught up by the time my baby comes!! Hope you all had a productive weekend!!

Hey All, I would like to join this thread. I really need some motivation to get back into scrapping. I need to start my 2004 Disney album before I go back in April. Happy Scrappin' -Stacy

Just back from a four day scrapbooking retreat weekend. I got so much accomplished and completed everything that I wanted to over the weekend. I finished up a 2001 Disney trip that DH had started and stopped half-way through, completed our 2006 family album, completed my Christmas album for 2006 (except for my title page for the year and putting the photo Christmas cards we received in). Once I finished those it was Sunday morning so instead of starting another scrapping project, I cropped about 1/2 of another Disney trip. My Disney album that I did complete went great because I had prepared about 50 page layouts before I went.

I did 101 pages on my trip, so my total for the month so far is 108. I'm so excited to be feeling more in control of my pictures now. I have lots of other projects to work on, I'm going to finish my 2 Christmas pages hopefully before bed time tonight.
