Water bottles in checked luggage

Not sure if this was mentioned but you can get a case of water from the Hess Gas Station across from DTD. I usually just take a bus to DTD and bring with me a reusable bag. Walk across the street pick up some water and pop. Walk back to across the street to the DTD bus stop. Simple and easy and the prices aren't inflated.

Could you post specific directions please? Where exactly in DTD do you cross to the Hess station? Which bus stop, the Marketplace one? TIA.

It located at the 2nd bus stop at DTD. Get off the bus, turn right and follow the sidewalk out to the main road and the Hess station will be right in front of you.
Take a look at this map. In the upper edge of the map and what looks like jagged white cement is the bus stop area. In the lower middle is the Hess station- its the "T" shaped building

Also wanted to mention that Hess makes good pizza which you can buy by the slice or a whole pizza. Last year the price of a whole pizza was $9.00. We like to make our trip over there around lunch time and take advantage of getting a slice of pizza and a pop. You can go outside and sit on the curb and have lunch. Then we go back in and get what we need to take back to the hotel. The Hess station on the way to MK is a great place to have lunch but you have to had a car to get there. They have a nice little cafe area inside. We got lunch there and only spent $7.35 for both of us.

The only reason to consider it is that when a storm approaches, water bottles are all sold out.

FYI....water or any liquid is very heavy.

1lb of water weighs 10lbs.

Um, actually, one pound of water weighs one pound. A quart weighs two pounds (Two quart, filled and tightly capped, bottles make good travel dumbells ).
