The Official Sept Photopass Thread

My stomach is so sick right now! Its horrible to think someone would do that to all of you! If I remember her post count was kind of high, wasn't it. I was hoping that there was just something real that held up the pictures....besides being scammed. Hopefully the photopass people can reinstate the photos for all of you! What a @#$ch!

You know......That traders list, some people filed mail fraud against Tiffany Williams
Filing Mail Fraud charges for the state of Florida. Might be worth looking into:

It's an automated service. The number is (813) 281-5200. The form to request
when money is sent and nothing received is "Failure to Provide Merchandise
Ordered". The message says that the whole process can take 4-6 weeks. May
be easier in some cases to call the local police department in the 'offenders' area.

Are we able to do something like this to report her?? How would you go about doing it?? I can't believe someone would actually do this....

I just read the last few pages of this, and I wanted to say how horrible I feel for all of you. Hopfully this was a fluke, and you are right, karma will get her if she did this intentionally to all of you. After this much time, there really is no excuse for not getting in touch with you. She certainly covered her tracks well. I would contact the authorities in her area, and since you all used the postal service to send the money orders to her, I believe there is some law about that that makes the crime a federal crime. Something about crimes being committed through the mail. Maybe someone who has time can look into it. Good luck!

I bet if you all organized as a group to file complaints you would get some action!

here is another link to try:

Also think about contacting the postal Inspector in your area and ask them if anything can be done and who should you contact. There is a link to a form on the above link

From the USPS website:
U.S. Postal Inspectors investigate any crime in which the U.S. Mail is used to further a scheme--whether it originated in the mail, by telephone, or on the Internet. The use of the U.S. Mail is what makes it mail fraud.

I don't have any proof I paid her. Once she got my Money Order, I threw away my copy. I never thought this would happen. I didn't think I would need to save it for proof I paid her. So I don't know if I am able to help or not.

Bingo! I hope someone can persue this to show this woman that she cannot get away with this!

I just sent info about this. I think the group should pursue this. If anything maybe the inspector and/or police will go to her home and get the CD's. I read on the traders website that that is exactly what happened in 2002 with some beanie babies she was suppose to trade. The authorities escorted her to the post office to mail them!!

Do still have any emails from her? You have this message board, if the authorities look at it from the beginning they can see where it was organized and I'm sure she probably posted that the group has paid, CD has been ordered and so on. What I would do is print those pages NOW so incase she signs on to edit anything!

I still have my money order copy with her name & address on it. It has Sept Photoswap on the description and you are listed in our group so that should help.

I have some good news. I received this email

Thank you for your request. Your request to have your photos reinstated to your Disney's PhotoPass account has been sent to the appropriate team. You will be notified within the next 7 business days with an update of your recovery request.

Please note that we cannot guarantee that your Disney's PhotoPass photos can be recovered or reinstated back into your account.

So maybe we could get our photos back but what if cost the full price for the cd?? I would be willing to split again if that was my only choice. :confused3

We could do it threw paypal so everyone would feel safe. I have like 148 feedback on ebay at 100% user name crowncrazymamma28. I would be glad to do it if it means getting my pictures.:goodvibes I could make a copy for everyone or do on snapfish. Or maybe a easier way is to send pictures to walmart photo center on a cd and everyone could pick it up at their walmart. That would cut down on cost. I think a cd at walmart is about $3.00. These are just some ideas if we get the pictures back. :goodvibes

Count me in too! And again, THANK YOU for taking the time to look into this. Hopefully photopass will come through for us. I think the Walmart photo CD sounds like a great idea - I'm thinking we'd be able to select just our own photos and order them individually?? Can you do it that way?? We'll figure it out...first we need to wait to see if they'll reinstate our photos. Fingers crossed. :wizard:

I have an email from her saying they were mailed out. I also have some pm's I printed out that say our login info on the photopass site, the email with her so called address and how much we owe her. I also have her phone number!!!

Are we going to try to pursue anything?? I have to work soon, but I can go back through the postings and print things we might need for proof. I think I have enough though. I have the email where she said it was mailed out!!

Others in group 10, what do you think???

Yes, she did post those things - pages back in this thread. I also have PM's from her confirming that she received my money order, etc. It's certainly worth a shot.

While I do hope that you all get your vacation photos...I might be hesitant to notify the police or the Attorney General considering the legality of the Photopass swap is questionable.

I can send you the email where she received my money order. I also have a voice mail from her in October stating that she was about to mail the CD's. I also have an alternate email address for her if it helps you.

I would keep an extra watchful eye on your bank accounts and credit reports.

:thumbsup2 Good advice. You may be out more than some pictures and twenty bucks. You might want to notify your bank to keep an eye on suspicious transactions not coming from your state.

I'm not in your group but I hope all of you or at least some of you pursue this! :thumbsup2 Hopefully 2 things will happen - you get your cd's and any future scammers will see how Diser's are going to fight scammers and they will think twice before messing with us!
I would love to see the look on her face when a postal inspector shows up!!:sad2:
Good luck!

Before I joined a share group I read the terms on the photopass site (just to be sure) and now I just read through the updated terms of service at the photopass website and I didn't see anything that would negatively impact the group.
