room request?

If I want a view of the park at RP do i need to fax them 3 days out like you do at disney or just ask when i check in or what?

We did it at checkin and they did it right then. They are really good with trying to accomodate all of your requests, but they can't give it to you, if it's not available.

Any ideas on a good standard room or set of room which have good view of park?

Ask for a room in Tower One with a view of IOA. I don't believe it's possible to have a IOA view from any other tower. Some standards in Tower One will face the front of the hotel. The staff are very accomodating when trying to fill requests, but like SpideyHulk said, they can't give it to you if it's not available.
