I got an email from the disney store saying that they were doing this, anyone tryed this, and anyone know if its every store or just the main ones?

I know that both The Trafford Centre & Manchester city centre stores are doing this, I was told that last weekend.

I'm going down to the Trafford Centre at the weekend to try it out, I'm hoping there'll be some good ones to trade :thumbsup2 We'll see....

Are they both big stores, and do they sell pins themselves??? The one nearest to me when I go home as far as I know do not sell pins, so am unsure if they will do it, and if not, I'm very tempted to take a trip to southampton... since they apparently do...

I probably would class them both as big stores, they both do the pins. They're usually found on the counter though, as you have to ask the CM's for which one you'd like and then they get them from behind the counter.

I'd be tempted to see if you could get a number for your local one and try contact them before you take a trip elsewhere :)

Just gave my local one a call and found out not only that they'd be selling the pins, but would be pin trading as well. Seeing as I'm currently sorting through my 300 pins at the moment (they don't fit in my bag anymore) im sure I can find a nice lanyard worth of traders :thumbsup2

300 pins :scared1: Wow! :worship:

I'm relatively new to pins and the trading. I only got into it in WDW last April and since have become a little addicted :lmao:

I've got a couple of doubles, so I'm going to take them down at the weekend and see what I can trade them for. I'm glad your local store is doing them for you, least it's a shorter trip for you. And I'm sorry to say, you probably won't be able to choose from the ones they've done already, they're all adorable - even more so when you actually see them instore :rotfl2:

Yep, been collecting and trading since 2004, and trade everytime I go to DLP, WDW and I've traded in the disney outlets in FL and on the Disney Wonder. I even have a DIS Unplugged pin!

I have a couple left over from my last trip, and a couple that I just don't like anymore so those will be the ones that are traded.

cool, think I will pop down to the trafford centre on sat, dd has a couple to trade.

I went into the Disney Store on Oxford Street yesterday and bught some pins but they were not doing pin trading. The CM there also didn't appear to know his characters either! I asked for the Sleeping Beauty and castle pin and he handed me Cinderella, then I asked for the LE Malificent pin and he said "Who?", so I pointed it out to which he said "Who is she then?" Maybe he was new or something!

My local store is Milton Keynes, it is a pretty big one so I wonder if they will be doing the trading there. I need to go next week anyway so I think I'll take my trading lanyard with me anyway.

Thats kinda silly that he didn't know the characters :P

When I called my local store, they said that it would starting this weekend/next week. I would suprised if Oxford Street doesn't do the pin trading, since my local is quite small and they are doing it, my lanyard is ready and waiting to go!

woah that's weird.
i've never seen disney pins in the UK disney stores or even seen any of the staff wearing them.

The UK pins have probably only been out for around 5/6 weeks now. Disney are making exclusive European pins for us lot over here. Most of the stores have them now, usually by the tills.

The actual pin trading with the CM's has only began this week, so that's probably why you've not seen them wearing them.

I'm going to Manchester later today to do some trading hopefully, I'm quite looking forward to it :thumbsup2

Are the UK ones different, since pins have been on sale in the UK stores since last summer...

how did you get on?

Not bad Claire, I went to the Arndale Centre store and they had one lanyard with pins on. I managed to trade two pins, I got a lovely Stitch one and a Disney's Animal Kingdom 'dangling' one, which is Mickey, Goofy & Stitch in a hot air balloon. My Dad traded one also, so I got another Goofy one too.

The Trafford Centre store is not pin trading until next Tuesday, they're still awiting stock and once they have enough they'll begin.

Oh I'm not too sure then :confused3 I thought that they'd only introduced pins over here about 5/6 weeks ago. I've never seen any in the stores I've been in before this year at least. Maybe it was just in the larger stores that they have had them?

They did start only in the bigger stores and online. I've got one from the oxford street store, and hope to pick up some more during the week, since I can visit 3 different stores

Oh there's some lovely ones isn't there? I couldn't help myself yesterday and bought 5 alongside the ones I traded :lmao: I'm quite obsessed with them!

I've never noticed them on-line before a few weeks ago, probably a good thing, goodness knows how much I'd have spent! :rotfl2: Do they do more 'specialised' ones in Oxford St store? Like ones with 'London' on or something like that? I'd love one of those if they did!

I was in the Oxford Street store a couple of days ago and they had the same collection as they had in my regular Milton Keynes store.
