** Picture of the Day 3 **

This is our picture of the day...and tomorrow and the next day...in fact, until Wednesday of next week! :scared: We're 250 miles from the Texas coast (a little to the left of Houston) but still predicted to have hurricane force winds...and possible 20-30 inches of rain! My prayers are especially with my fellow Texans to the south...not comforting hearing the words "catastrophic" ... :(

Karolyn - Hope your raindrops fall delicately like the cobweb droplets I found in my yard yesterday!

THAT IS BEAUTIFUL! :lovestruc Oh my goodness...I could look at that all day! :goodvibes We've had an inch today but heavy rains due...naturally...during the night time hours. :headache: When the downpours start, I'll picture YOUR picture! :thumbsup2 :tink:

I know how it is hard to lose a family member like this. So I'm sending thoughts of peace for you and your family. Cavs really are one of the best breeds of puppers, IMHO! love them.

I lost my best friend yesterday. :lovestruc The "goopy" in goopysolelady crossed the bridge peacefully...under my kitchen table in front of his favorite fan. :lovestruc I had a dentist appointment and was on my way home but he couldn't wait for me to get here. :sad1: DH assured him I loved him very much. He couldn't hear, was blind in one eye, had a heart condition and was "living on borrowed time" having reached the age of 13. The life expectancy of a Cavalier King Charles is 9-10 years but with the help of his vet we were able to enjoy his company a lot longer. He was my "shadow" and my "sounding board"...he was always "available" to talk too. RIP my sweet, fluffy special friend :lovestruc...

 Thank you SO much. Always has been a favorite breed of mine and my Goopy was my special friend. He's probably happy and content being where he's at now :lovestruc... he did NOT like going out to "do his business" in the rain! We were a funny sight :goodvibes trying to stay dry myself and keep the umbrella over him. :goodvibes I feel he's not missing this hurricane business at all. :lovestruc Thank you for you kind words. :tink:

I'm so very sorry. What a lucky dog he was. :grouphug:

Remembering our family vacation a few years ago on this beautiful beach. It was hit with sustained winds of 102 mph and gusts up to 120 mph earlier this evening. The entire town of Port Aransas was under mandatory evacuation; hope everyone heeded those instructions!

Unless you have driven the Going to the Sun Road in Glacier National Park, you will never know what I went through to get this picture!!! That was the scariest thing I've done since I was a stupid teenager!!!!

Hope you made it through landfall Karolyn. :grouphug:

I have driven that beautiful, scary road twice and I'd love to do so again; love the whole park but hate the idea that the glaciers will be gone in the next 30 years or so.

Here's a view of the Going to the Sun Road
