This club is a place for DVC members who own more than 5000 points. Please post on this thread and I will update the list here when I can get to it. Understand that I will be swamped in the beginning as I work on populating the original membership list.

Our plan is an OKW 2BR Oct through Jan when we retire.

We go to WDW/DL a lot (or at least I think we do), including at some high-points times of year. And it would possible but tough for us to even use 5,000 points consistently. It's basically only possible when maximizing the room category. Yes, we could rent to cover dues, or gift more stays to friends/families, but using the points ourselves would be tough.

• In 2021, we had 53 nights of DVC stays for ourselves or gifted to family.
• In 2022, we had 38 nights of DVC stays.
• In 2023, we will have had 'just' 33 nights of DVC stays.
• In 2024, we will have had 67 nights of DVC stays, some gifted to friends.

If we only did Grand Villas, Bungalows, or CCV Cabins at the same resort (for BCV stays I'll sub a BWV GV, for BRV stays I'll sub a CCV GV), here's how many points we'd need by year:

• 2021: 6,581 pts
  • One of these stays was a week in a BWV studio that we also 'double booked' with a few nights at a VGF Grand Villa as a hybrid group space/vacation-from-our-vacation room. We wouldn't 'double book' at two Grand Villas, so this 6,581 is actually an overshoot by 300-400pts.
  • One 508pt stay gifted to family
• 2022: 5,186
• 2023: 4,458
• 2024: 8,112
  • Two 247pt stays and two 618pt stays (1,730 total) gifted to friends

I’ve heard 4k at one resort and 8k total. I wonder though, what if other names are on some fo the contracts, or put under llc’s etc.

Isn’t that only about 2 weeks in a cabin or bungalow?

I could easily find ways to use points. Now finding the money to buy and pay dues………

Alaska cruises every month during summer (concierge only on points of course). Norwegian and other European Cruises (concierge only on points of course). New South Pacific / Oceana cruises (concierge only on points of course). Will need 10001 Club if we start doing Adventures by Disney on points.

Wow! That’s impressive. Don’t think we’ll ever hit 5000 points, will probably tap out at 2000ish (around 1600 now)

A BW standard studio comes in under 5,001 pts per year.

Has a 10% cushion for a second room to host guests 4-6 weeks per year.

Buying 5k BWV avg $120pp today breaks down to $33.3k per year + $42.7k dues at today’s price. If you were able to prepay all the dues at today’s rate the total cost $1.37m and in 2042 you walk away just with the memories.

Tldr: You can move into BW with 5.001k points
