Did I just have a bad experience here? I love atmosphere and thought it would be a no brainer lunch spot (had been to dinner in 2012 and didn't care for it) but all of our food was cold. Especially the fries. Was this just a one off? We will have a 3 QS to use at MK and so far I've planned CHH, PB, and Casey's.
We did not like the lunch. I had the braised beef which was very good but all of my other family members have the sandwiches and they did not like them and they said they were dry .
 
Quick question, as I have never dealt with this before:
We have annual passes and booked FD with the minimum 2 day ticket. I was under the impression that I could just transfer those tickets to a phantom person in MDE to make sure they are not used instead of our AP's. I am not seeing that option. I am seeing a message that tells me that tickets purchased as part of a promotion are non transferable and must stay with the person they were booked for. How can I go about making sure they don't get used?

Also, when will the tickets expire?
 
I was able to get a pool view room at CBR 12/10-12-18. We have been to POR a couple of times, CSR, and POP. Is there any certain area I should request? I'm thinking I'd like to be close to a bus stop, but know absolutely nothing about CBR. Any advice?
CBR has a bus stop in every village, so you will be close to one no matter what. Aruba and Jamaica are both great locations, a nice walk across the bridge to the main pool and food court area (although this is where the construction will be happening).
 


I couldn't find room at POP for the 16th- 23rd but if I moved my dates to the 17th-25th there are rooms. So maybe POP is fully booked for the promo on the 16th
I have two standard rooms booked at POP for 12/16-12/21. I would love to have a preferred room there but none was available for my stay.

I think you just add fake people to your MDE and then transfer the tickets to them. I'm not really that sure.

We have AP's and I've always gone to Guest Services before entering the first park to have the tickets physically removed from MDE and then they are put on hard tickets to link at a later date. Not sure if they still do this. You can also go to guest services to have your tickets prioritized.

Tickets are said to expire Dec. 2018, but you will not lose the value of your tickets if they do expire before you use them.
 
Sorry slightly off topic but we are doing a split stay and the first two days 11/23 and 11/24 we will being staying at either CBR or POR riverside. What would you pick
 


what are the odds that rooms will open up (for FD) going forward at resorts that say they have no availability?
We wanted to stay at POR but the dates we picked were blacked out...and all our TA was able to get us was a standard room at All-star music (grateful that she was able to snag this for us) but my sister has a disability and needs her own bed...so this leaves me with two kids in my bed (or one of us on the floor)
we are going November 27 to December 2nd. Hoping a room at CBR opens up for that time frame. Should I ask my TA to keep her eyes open for that (or am I dreaming of something that may never occur)

Definitely keep trying. I've seen so many pop up in the last few days. I would love to see if I could get POR, but so far no luck.

It's pretty likely that something will open up. I was able to snag free dining at POR just yesterday after just refreshing and checking relentlessly during the day.
This gives me some hope! Though honestly I'm not sure we would stay there over what we have booked, but I would still like to see what the difference in price would be.

Question: I know you can walk over to AoA from Pop and use their food court but can you use their pool too?
No to the pool. It is still a great walk, and I love the lake - I would run around it every morning before we left for the parks.

I'm not sure any quick service is fabulous :)

I know when we had AP we did this as well. Went to GS and asked for their help and they took them off the band and gave them to us as hard tickets that we could use at a later date.

You have to go to guest services and have them remove the tickets before you go into any of the parks if you don't have them remove it will use those tickets first and not your AP.
 
I would stick with your original plan of a standard view room. It is cheaper and will be much quieter than the pool view room (if that is important to you). Many standard rooms have views of Hourglass Lake which is lovely. You can even see Hollywood Studios fireworks from right outside your room.

I also always book standard at POP, the longest walk from the furthest point of the resort is only 7-8 mins. Due to this I don't think it's worth the $$$ for preferred. It would be a different story if I was at CBR though since that resort is so big.

A view of the lake would be lovely, I need to look up what buildings would have that and request it. I think you are right, quieter is a good thing. I'll go see if that standard room is still available and make the switch. Thanks!

Also you could be at the furthest part of the resort and the walk is still only 7-8 mins to foodcourt/busses
 
I've added 1 day to my package yesterday making it November 25 to December 1. I even got a confirmation from Disney but it is still showing November 25-30 in My Disney Experience :/ Should I be worried?
It happened to me yesterday when I change my resort. I got the confirmation mail but was still showing the first resort. Someone said here that sometimes the Disney website is too busy and takes time to show the changes. I waited the whole morning and by the afternoon I checked again And the change was made. So don't worry and keep cheking

Can you tell me what this means. I have tickets that will expire soon, (We aren't going until Nov). Do you think i will be able to use them after they expire?

My reservations still show up as CBR on Disney but it shows up as FW on the travel agency site where I make payments.I called Disney they still said it was showing as CBR. Is the TA trying to put me in FW?I had a really bad experience when FD dropped I lost my CBR gcs due to TA switching too soon to FW instead of waiting to see if more CBR rooms opened up.So frustrated and regret using TA
