Pizza Delight and Pizza Pizza were our go to pizza chains back in the 70’s.
The Pizzas themselves were nothing special by todays standards, but boy, my memory is that they were so delicious and such a treat.

Totally this. Our memories versus reality aren't always the same, but man so good.

I miss it terribly ... I lived in Evanston for 10 years (went to Dawes Elementary and Chute Middle Schools) - was moved to Elgin (by parents) before going to ETHS, and moved myself back to Evanston when in my 20s ...

I was born at St. Francis Hospital, on Ridge, grew up in Skokie (near Lou Malnati's Lincolnwood). Loyola Academy here, class of '83. Small world, right?

Yes it is, when I moved back to Evanston in my 20s, I lived right off of Ridge on Washington St (6-7 blocks north of St. Francis) - my mother lived off of Ridge on Brummel - which was right by that hospital. Very small world indeed.

In South Florida Anthony’s coal fired pizza reigns supreme. We had gone to the original for years before it became a franchise. They have the best coal fired wings with caramelized onions too.

Sam's Pizza on the Wildwood boardwalk. Always a line outside and at the pick-up window because their pies are *that* good. Nice, thin crispy crust.

We went to Fairview for grade school. My parents liked that school better than Queens.
