I wish. That would have been easy. But no, it's the one who has her own household. We do share the same last name, but not the same address. I figure the answer is no.

do you have a personal Chase card that’s over a year old with at least a $10k CL you could PC to a CSR ?

Yes. I have the Chase Freedom but right now I want to keep it as a Freedom. I've still got a couple of 10% offers, so maybe I'll put it on the back burner for a month or two. I think I need to look at the whole picture before I cash out the UR's and see what the best overall deal is. Still have a Best Buy offer and a Lowes offer.

Honest Question: Do any of you guys still regularly use the NEWS thread on DISchurners? I will admit, I've been a tad lazy in getting everything up there lately. I do a good job with most major things though. I was about to post the Q1 Freedom category news and paused to wonder if it's worth it. If you use the news thread to make sure you don't miss major events, please reply and let me know so I can determine if it's worth the ongoing effort.

Thanks!
I check Reddit but I don’t think it’s as important as it was before. Things have been slow so not as many pages to go through

I do when I can't keep up here. But honestly, it's only once every month or two, usually when I'm looking for something in particular.

It's rather convoluted, but she could change her address to your place, and then apply. The only thing of interest any more is the mailing of the card itself. All billing and payments are electronic.

This would have the side benefit of having a new address, which may have helped me snag the 125k Platicorn offer?

Prolly not the best idea, but it's an option.

ETA: The transfer points said it had to be same household, I'm 99% sure

Lately things have been slow enough here, that I haven't really needed the condensed version. But when we were plowing through 10 pages a day, it took me until the weekend to catch up.

I still look at it (and contributed stories once or twice)

At some point if you do PC to the CSR...the PYB feature can be used on purchases made in the last 90 days

Using my Dell credit to buy XBox gift cards and I have the 10% back offer. So with $200 of Dell credit I want to buy $220 so that I don't get any clawed back, after getting credit for the $200 and 10%. Is that right?

Thanks in advance!

We got one of those 125k MR offers in our mailbox today. Sadly, it was for our neighbor, and anyway we can't apply again for the bonus.

So it's been a little slower around here lately. Part of that is definitely the reduced travel and we just aren't attracting a lot of newer folks to the thread which creates activity and buzz. DIS traffic as a whole has to be down.

I also know that some of the shutdowns and craziness that happened earlier this year drove people away from the game, and the whole thing is cyclical too. Long term churners are rare... many people just decide the game isn't for them after a few cards.

That said, I'm interested in hearing what everybody has to say on this discussion topic:
Do you personally feel churning has improved or worsened this year?
I'm not looking for a commentary on what went well or poorly from a global churning perspective - I purely mean this on a YOU level. Perhaps your churning has improved because you got more educated on what was available. Perhaps a benefit introduced by a card worked perfectly with your strategy. Or perhaps, the things that died this year made things worse. Weigh in, join in, let's drum up a little fun activity here!
Me personally? I don't do much of anything at this point churning related (at least not like I used to) For us travel is not an option and it 'feels' like it's endless...I know it will resume again (for us) but it feels distant- combined with a sense of worry about finances means extreme caution in our house,a big change in priorities and spending. I wish I had gotten back on the horse a little earlier in the year b/c we have some large insurance bills coming due and I may have to (gasp) pay out of my bank acct...:scared:
On a thrilling note, b/c of our shift in priorities this year, we have been hitting our LAST big debt HARD thanks to PYB and no travel expenses at all:sad:....I've been basically tripling our mortgage payments monthly...if I can keep this up for another year we will be 100% paid off:cool1: and that makes me happy. I had a lovely stash of around 750k UR when this pandemic canceled all our travel plans.... and while I'm sad we didn't get to travel, by refocusing I'm still happy to be doing something. I REALLY need to get going again tho.... me and P2 have the flex, that's about it for this year.

2020 was a bit of a bust for me. The last cards I got were the southwest personal and business for a CP (which I used exactly once). I have been working on category spend but that's small potatoes. I was going to get some new cards but decided to go for hyatt Globalist for DH. Once I make the spend I need for that, I will have to look at getting something new.

I don’t remember who mentioned only being able to book Swan and Dolphin through AAVacations... I just looked this morning and most of the Disney resorts are back on there. I was checking for dates in May. I looked last month and they weren’t available then.
I can't figure that site out.... how do I apply points to a vacation? it has to be a minimum 3 days, right?

Costco is sending new Airpods. USPS claims the package is probably sitting in a tractor trailer in Richmond waiting to be scanned (it was mailed 18 days ago). I did speak to a very nice woman at our post office today and she said they didn't do holiday hiring and everything is very backed up. Glad I don't have to ship anything this year.

I cut way back in CCs this year. Though looking at all the answers my good years would be cut back years for most of you. lol
2 players-
2018 6 total - 2 DH 4 Me
2019 7 total - 4 DH 3 Me
2020 3 Total - 1 DH 2 Me

The only "travel" we did was taking and picking up DD and DS at their colleges 7 hours and 4 hours away. I guess we started the year on travel, we had our Christmas/New Years week trip to the Tampa area which was our family Christmas present last year so that seems more like last year's redemption. I have also not done any PYB. I have been only 9,000 away from CP since about August and I didn't even pursue finishing it. I think I have been in a depressed state after cancelling so many flights this year and just didn't want to think about it. Probably foolish on my part, but we do have DH's through middle of the year so it would only be helpful for 6 months anyway.
