On a lighter note. anyone else really missing their hairdresser by now?

I only get my hair cut about once a year, but it’s time. I might ask my daughter to cut it for me. People won’t see me for awhile anyways. It might be okay. Lol.

My hairdresser is still working and, honestly, I don't expect she will stop. She is the sole support for her family of 4. I have an appointment with her on April 6th so it will be interesting to see what happens.

I had appointments today for DD and me that I cancelled over the weekend. Today is one day before our stay at home order starts but my hairdresser is 70 and I didn't want to be in close proximity. I was so sad though. I'm overdue and quite wooly already. My DD wanted a shorter cut and cut hers herself yesterday. Oy. The hard part is knowing it will likely be a while before I can get in. Life is frustrating already. The wooly hair will just aggravate me more.

I usually get my hair cut every 6 months or so, so I have another 3 months to go before it really starts to bug me.

Who I will really miss is my eyebrow threading lady! I'm not sure if the salon is closed (I'm in CA so probably) but I will be staying home regardless. I clean up my brows myself but it's not as nice and neat as when she does it

I got mine done last week. My person owns her own shop. It was just the 2 of us in there. She's going to continue working as long as she can. She is asking people to cancel/reschedule if they aren't feeling well.

My stylist had a baby in February. She only took 6 weeks off (which sounds standard to most of you I'm sure, but in Canada if you have a full time job and health benefits, you get a year off) because she's self-employed, but it was already a stretch for me to get from my last appt in Nov to my next appt which was March 14. Her salon closed on the 13th. I cut my own bangs yesterday. I'm afraid box dye is next. SEND HELP.

Yes!!! I had an appointment scheduled for Wednesday. By the time they re-open, I am going to have some serious gray shining through.

My DH is more upset than I am. He wears his hair super short and gets it cut every Friday. He is going to be super shaggy by the time his barber reopens.

Buy a set of clippers at the local pharmacy?

Along the same lines, my DD is upset that her dog's grooming appt was cancelled. She is afraid the dog's fur will get matted.

She can cut the matted fur herself, can't she? Or just spend more time grooming for now. I'm brushing my fluffy cat every other day to keep her fur from matting.

I started using the CurveCorrect ingrown toenail corrector (purchased from Amazon) back in January and I am so impressed with the results. No more painful ingrown toenails!!!

I have been doing my own dip powder and gel manicures for a year and a half or so now but I think I am going to remove what I have and then file my natural nails super short and take a break for a while, not like anyone is going to see my nails.

I had an appt this week which got cancelled when all non-life sustaining businesses were shut down. I will be trimming my own bangs soon also! My stylist hates when I do that, oh well.
