I am soooo missing mine! Went for haircut the first week of February before I went on vacation. Wound up being away most of the month of February and early March and was scheduled to go last Wednesday. Unfortunately, she wound up having to close her business temporarily on Tuesday.

I finally had my daughter help me cut my bangs because I couldn’t see. I am lucky that I can basically pin my hair in a bun and call it a day, but I still miss my hairdresser.

One thing I did do, however, was stock up on hair color. I color my own and figured if we have to stay home it would be worth buying. Now I’m glad am did because we could be home for quite a while.

had my hair coloured and cut yesterday. Salon is not closed yet but only handful of people there and many safety precautions like no magazines.

My darling hair stylist is having the roughest time right now.Time before last she found out her father has cleaned out bank accounts to impress a 29 woman at the detriment to her mother. She was planning on getting married in Paris, and I would assume that is postponed-AND she's not working right now.I adore her and hope things get better....

Yes! I cancelled my appointment 6 days ago. Which means I am going to be growing out my natural grey. And I will very carefully trim my bangs.

I'm truly frightened!

Me too. I have already dug out a hat. I was thinking of going back to my natural color, or closer to that, but never wanted it to go down like this. I need low-lights or something strategically placed so it looks nice, not just letting it all grow in!!!

I can cut and color my own, have been for years, so no big panic here - I have 5 boxes of my discontinued hair color kit. I do go to a spa/salon for other things (lash extension and lash tint) and had to laugh at the "warnings" coming from the hair dressers about using a home kit.

I have short hair that should be cut every 4-6 weeks and I just started thinking this weekend that it about time for a cut. And they are closed. Only time will tell how long it will get before they open back up.

Yes!!! I had an appointment scheduled for Wednesday. By the time they re-open, I am going to have some serious gray shining through.

My DH is more upset than I am. He wears his hair super short and gets it cut every Friday. He is going to be super shaggy by the time his barber reopens.

Yes!!!!

My appointment is currently scheduled for the 1st week of April. At this point, I highly doubt I’ll be able to keep it.

Worse than my hair, I also really miss getting my nails done!

Practically all my life, I bit my fingernails & picked at my cuticles... horrible habit! My fingers always looked yucky, & I was always ashamed of my hands.

For a family wedding in May 2017, I got my 1st real manicure. My nails were gorgeous for the 1st time in my life, &, for the 1st time ever, I wasn’t ashamed of my hands! So I’ve been getting my nails done ever since then.

Yesterday, I peeled off my powder-dip manicure & tried to paint my fingers myself... they look horrible.

Along the same lines, my DD is upset that her dog's grooming appt was cancelled. She is afraid the dog's fur will get matted.

I personally am okay. My hair might get a little bushy and some of my greys might show, but it's not terrible. However, I really wish I could get DS's hair done! I tried to trim him tonight and OMG, the screaming...he says it hurts and he squirms so much, I cut myself a couple times. Forget it...

Yes, our salons closed. I guess once my roots get too bad I'll be pulling it back to hid the part line.

On another note, this is the industry I feel the worst for in being hit. Where I go, each stylist owns their own chair. So I assume they can't get unemployment as owner and only employee. I have been going to the same lady for probably 7 years, once a month. I feel like I should reach out and tell her I want to give her what I would usually be spending on this months appointment to her. But on the other hand I don't want to offend her. I have seen a lot of small businesses pushing gift cards, while I realize that is getting you immediate cash flow I am not sure how longterm that would be in knowing that once they do open they could have weeks where everything is paid for with the gift cards. The stylist hasn't offered up the gift card thing.
