Yes and no, she was “successful” but from one show, whether her acting success continued after Suits ended is an unknown. She was wealthy compared to you and me, but I doubt hardly set for life on the basis of her acting success in the one show.
She does seem to have a genuine interest in philanthropy that has nothing to do trying to impress others or shape a good public image.

Where as I believe Kate would have married Will if he was a carpenter, that she married him despite him being a Royal not because of it. I’m not 100% on Meghan.

Not really. Harry is an idiot who is unworthy of love.The only reason he got a second look is because he is a prince. I mean, people were able to recognize after watching her a few minutes on TV that she is a cold, calculating phoney. He's such a moron!

Well damn, it looks like these two fools deserve each other. I do wish I had the forensic ability or six sense that others have on this thread to be able to discern a pure heart from a calculating one based on online short video clips of wedding coverage and pictures splashed on the internet. It must be helpful in life to have those types of supernatural powers or smarts.

Diana and Charles were dogged and scrutinized like this until her death and then the same people made her into a martyr and Charles the devil himself. History does tend to repeat itself.

BUT we cannot look away from the fact that Meghan had the audacity to wear a white wedding dress when she's not pure AND a divorcee. OMG! Anything but white! Pass me the smelling salts. Totally classless. She should be ashamed of herself instead of looking all smug and beautiful and (newly, really) rich. I mean at least Harry was pure standing up there all cute and handsome. Right?

He's 6th in line. I think it will all die down and they can go live in well-healed (semi) peace.

Meanwhile, the smart money is on conceiving a young girl long about now who could be trained on royal history and groomed to lasso George in 20 or 30 years.

pparently, she had a dress all ready to go and then realized that although it was off-white, it would appear white. And she scrapped it, the night before.

So Stella McCartney had to put something together in mere hours. With her body type (not meant in any derogatory way), I'm sure that was something!

Couldn't Stella McCartney come up with better material? It looks like Oprah is wearing cotton jersey that t-shirts are made out of.

I can only speak for myself but here it goes ---

What is the big damn deal that someone doesn't care for Meghan? All I think from seeing and reading is that there is something about her that seems disingenuous, to me. Big deal. Every single day people think that about others - in real life, from interviews, from words. Famous or not. On here for Christ's sake. If you're one who doesn't judge or feel that ever, you're a better person than I. And of course one could be way off base. It's one thing. I don't hate her - don't even really dislike her in the way this is playing out. I am not jealous - don't have it in me plus I would never want that life. Think she's both beautiful and accomplished. I wish nothing but the best for them as a couple (not that it matters! ). And was excited to see the wedding - especially the dress and the Mulroney children - and thought it was beautiful. As was she.

So what is the big damn deal?

Just an aside - I do agree about Diana and Charles. He has received so little credit for being a good father. Their children were not raised by one parent. And honestly, that man was in a very ****ty position with he can only marry a virgin. And he's said lately that he honestly thought he would grow to love Diana, using his own grandparent's marriage as an example.

Screwed up all around, but some of it due to ridiculous rules.

Again,apparently, all 3 dresses she has worn (wedding, reception, garden party) are loose around the stomach, a style she doesn’t normally wear.
But personally I don’t think it will turn out to be true

Actually Harry, 6th in line to the throne doesn't get very much. Meghan probably actually has more money than he does.

I read this a few years ago about Will & Kate. Right now, being 2nd in line, Will doesn't get that much salary yearly for being Duke of Cambridge. I read they Kate & Will each only get several hundred pounds a year. A lot of Kate's evening gowns are being paid for by Charles. That's also one of the reasons Kate re-wears a lot of outfits. Not only is she trying to present a more frugal image, they really don't get enough to be spending lavishly all the time.


As for Meghan, someone said they Googled and she is estimated to be worth $5 million. I think that is rather high. I don't doubt the poster Googled correctly and that was what was posted. But, i wonder where that source gets their estimate from? Meghan works on a cable TV show, on a B rated cable network owned by NBC. I watched Suits. I used to love Suits. The writing was great the first few years. But, I highly doubt that NBC had thrown $5 million at the whole show. The show is only 16 episodes per year. And it films in Toronto instead of NYC, where the show is "based" as NBC wouldn't pay for it to be shot in NYC, until some location shots in the 2-part finale this year when they realized everyone would be watching because of Meghan.

I just Googled probably the same source and they said the lead star on the show, Gabriel Macht, is worth $8 million, and laughing he's been one of the producers on the show for every episode.

Sarah Rafferty, another actress on the show and probably at the same starring level for contracts, reportedly makes $300,000 a year for her role on Suits. Times 7 years, that a little over $2 million total. Add in, say, half a million per year for cable residuals. (I read it's not a lot for cable. That's why they can re-air shows to death. Plus it only re-airs on the USA Network.) Then take out taxes & agent fees, etc., which brings it down to over $1 million total.

I know Meghan also had a blog and was big on social media. But did that bring in $3 million more? I doubt that. But, I don't know. I don't have a blog.

What Meghan has done is now make reruns of Suits go on till she's old & grey and no longer looks like "Rachel." There will be royal watcher who will always tune into the reruns. The rest of the cast have her to thank for those upcoming residuals.
