Online room requests have been offline for some time now , for ALL resorts. You will have to call if you want to add any requests .
Not sure if its just a temporary glitch, or Disney is moving away from accepting any requests.

I am in Coranado springs for the first time and we are having issues that fliers for those fake pizza places are being shoved thru our door, if anyone can tell me who do i report this to? I didn't think this happened anymore, but I guess its because they are not closing the gate near the cabanas at all.

I read this thread and kept thinking "Why is she annoyed at pizza flyers?", made no sense. We got a pizza flyer under our door while at CS and said "oh look, pizza, thats an option". Read this post again again, then again early this morning. Decided to search out "fake pizza flyers Disney" because I still wasn't getting it.

I had absolutely no idea!

I read how it's a huge scam, people are getting their credit cards and money stolen, and Disney has been trying to fight it, and it happens at Universal too. This also explains while in the WL I read in the room service menu book a warning about pizza flyers, I just thought that was Disney's way of trying to get more room service business.

So thanks for making me aware of this.

The drivers usually get past the guard booths because they say "they are delivering a pizza" , then the flyer distribution starts !
It happens at ALL the Disney resorts . For some reason the worst problems we have seen are at the deluxe resorts .
The worst resort we have experienced for this is Saratoga Springs . I think they can get just walk over from Disney Springs VERY easily , and they know it .
We just had a stay at POFQ , and had no flyers at all. Its definitely hit or miss .

We dont let it bother us , we simply pick up the flyer and put it in the trash .

I'm hoping to stay here in July 2018. How likely will it be that I get a refurbished room? We really love the new rooms and hope that we can stay in one (although I know everyone would like that).

I have read quite far back in this thread checking out all the information on the renovations and I am struggling to make sense of it all. We are checking in mid-December, 2 rooms (not preferred) and I am trying to keep up to date but having never stayed at CSR it's all new to us so it's hard to find our bearings. We are not bothered about being near the main hub as we won't be eating there or using transport, but we would prefer to be near the pool. However our main issue is daytime noise. We have someone in the party with very sensitive hearing, and can't be exposed to drilling etc so we are a little concerned about that (we come back to the room in the middle of the day for some time out). Can anyone advise us?

I had never known myself and what a cool resort that was! I may have to head there more often!

Does anyone know when the room renovations will be finished?
The rehab is behind schedule. Like any home project, when they dug in, they found much more that needed repair. They have also changed contractors. There is 8.5 buildings to go. If each building takes 3-4 months, we're looking at another two years. The tower could be done before the rehab.

I didn't notice an answer so...
I just did a split, normally a DVC'r but was late planning -stayed (2) night POFQ, (5) CSR. I would stay extra nights at WL if I were you, only because the amenities are better and it is much easier to get around.

Disney does transfer your luggage -just call bell services and they will pick up your bags in the am and will be at your new resort by 5pm.

Never used instacart but have used other services no problem -not sure about hard liquor
Thank you! I appreciate the insight!

For CS, we checked in on a Wednesday, left on Sunday. WL we checked in that Sunday and left Thursday (yesterday).

With the renovated room, we'd stay the full time at CS next time. Small things like USB ports on all the outlets, an actual k-cup machine, a nice TV and brand new furniture.

The two places have completely different vibes. CS, being that it's convention season, had a much more adult client base. We liked the feel of the resort, with how big it was and the quietness of the pool. WL is super impressive though, when you are sitting in the hot tub at night looking up at the building you'll just have to say wow. WL was much more family orientated, with kids running around everywhere. My son liked WL better, the pool and the splash pad was great for him and he always found someone to play with. Transportation was much better at WL though, the only complaint we had about CS was how long it took to get to the parks at times.

They said they could have, but we just took a taxi because no reason.

Instacart is the company that's gearing up to take on Amazon with their Whole Foods purchase. It's not affiliated with any one particular store but has stores sign on for them to be their digital online delivery service. They offer the different stores in the area, so for down there I could order from a Publix, Costo, CVS, (for some reason) Whole Foods (maybe Amazon hasn't pulled them down yet), and the local ABC liquor store. It will be two different delivery drivers if you order from two stores, and yes, they delivery anything the ABC store sells. I got a bottle of 94 proof Kraken rum.

Don't sign up until you are a few days away from your trip as you get your first delivery within 7 days free if it's over $50. Then you could sign up another adult in the room for another account to get a liquor order of over $50 delivered free as well. Grocery items were fine, was a pretty basic order, just some supplies to get us through the week, breakfast type things, some wine, chips, Cliff bars. Also ordered some fruit and such, no complaints about anything. You pick a delivery time and they show up. I had my cart all loaded and ready to go and pushed the delivery schedule button while the plane was coming in for landing. JetBlue, free wifi.[/QUOTE

Thanks so much for answering ALL my questions! (Sorry there were so many)
Thanks for breaking it down for me and providing so many details. This is really going to help me plan for January.
And thanks for the tips with Instacart.
I really appreciate you taking the time to answer and for being so helpful!

Oh wow. I did not know all that, thank you for all the info. I just booked 3 rooms for December of 2018 and thought we would all get refurbished rooms. I am an idiot.

For those wondering about the Pepper Market Food court, we just received the following message about CSR (our trip is January 24th-31st). It does not state outright that the food court is closed; HOWEVER, it does not list it as open or available as somewhere to eat. We use the food court a number of times when we travel, so this is a bummer.

"In an effort to continually enhance the Guest experience, we often refresh our offerings and atmosphere. It is in this spirit that we have embarked on exciting refurbishment projects at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. In preparation for your upcoming stay, we would like to share some information about these renovations.

During this time, our exceptional amenities and recreation, including the Dig Site pool area; La Vida Health Club, Salon & Spa; and Iguana Arcade, will remain available for your enjoyment. We also invite you to join us at our newly reimagined dining location, Rix Sports Bar and Grill, featuring a variety of sandwiches, salads and refreshing beverages.

While we work our magic, it is possible that you may see or hear construction, but noise should not be heard from your Guest room between dusk and 9:00am. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding. Please know we are making every effort to ensure your comfort and enjoyment."

30 days out, It has been a messed up mess from the start, I couldn't make fast passes on opening day, took 3 phone calls and 4 hours to fix it, then I got them made but I had 2 ten day tickets and my son didn't have any and so one cast member deleted people from my room instead of my sons room, which deleted all the fast passed they had. Anyway please tell me there is still sand and hammocks by 8A and that the hottub will be open? I'm still trying to get my daughters room upgrades to CS but they keep saying there arnt any rooms open for our code, but i'll keep trying. Thanks

so are the bus stops to the park like on the first page-

There are 4 stops around the resort:
Bus stop 1: El Centro
Bus stop 2: Cabanas
Bus stop 3: Ranchos
Bus stop 4: Casitas

However, the buses DO NOT visit the stops in that order. When the THEME PARK (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom) buses enter the resort they proceed to Bus stop 2, then 3, then 4, and lastly 1. When the DISNEY SPRINGS buses enter the resort they proceed to Bus stop 1, then 2, then 3, then 4. The thought process behind this transportation strategy is that you can hop on a THEME park bus to go to El Centro and then hop on a DISNEY SPRINGS bus and return to your room

I thought I read not to far back in a post that someone said the busses where full when they got to cabanas because it was the last stop to the theme parks?

Is there a charge to have diapers sent to the resort because it is a convention resort? I read on the first page it was $5-$10, is that how it works still and is it more to ship stuff home from there, rather then the $15 when you guy stuff in the theme parks and have it shipped home. I want to buy a bunch of presents form the outlet. thanks so much for the info.
