With these paces you are more than on target for sub-2, just gotta watch the heat and humidity.

That's a lot of races in a short amount of time! I think you will have no problem going under 2 hours based on your race paces. Are you planning on taking the 10k easy and going all out for the half? What was your PoT?

I have been training to do back to back day races and with increasing the mileage. This weekend doing back to back 10K official race days with my final test being an official 10K and a practice 10 Mile run on the 4/8 weekend. I still probably won't run the 10K at my fastest pace. Honestly, I will for the most part try to run the Half at my fastest but I will slowdown at times to enjoy the experience.

Last year, I ran the 10k at my half marathon goal pace. That way I was completely ready (knew the correct pace in the same environment) for my half marathon the next day. It worked out well. I'm thinking of trying a similar strategy this year, although I may take the 10k even a little easier.

Hopefully you get a corral placement near the front to attempt your sub-2 hour half.

Yea I have only lately had these paces. I will be a little back. So my first mile or two will be impacted because of that. But I think I can get through the crowd of people and maintain a decent pace. It will be tough though. I did the light side a year ago and didn't train at all (bad idea lol).

I can't wait to see the official course map.

I drive and usually wind up at the expo around noon, so probably noon Thursday. Grab lunch, geek out, get bibs and shirts, hang out some more. My AP is blocked out, so I may just hang out at the expo most of the day lol!

Last year for this race we went early for merch since we are SW nerds, then just got a beer - or rather a delicious pineapple cider that they no longer sell there - and just hung out at the tables waiting for a friend flying in that morning. It was fantastic! Though it did give me time to think and when she arrived I bought more crap lol

I'm chaperoning my DD's band trip. I don't think I will be able to sneak away until they leave. They will be getting on the DME to head home at about 3pm on Friday afternoon. We will be heading to the expo after that.

I have been debating on preordering the Dooney tote. I love it, but those extra $20 in Active fees, plus not being able to get the discount has me hesitating. I can't decide how upset I will be if it is sold out by Friday afternoon.

This run was a last minute add on for me, and I'm going to DL in May for Tinkerbell, so I'm trying not to break the budget. Haha! I'm not sure who I'm trying to kid, Disney takes all my money!

Marathon weekend and princess bags are still for sale now, and last year they did not sell out day 1. So, more than likely ok. I would only preorder if I knew I would be totally heartbroken if they made less this time or something.

Is that official? That kind of stinks if it is. Like it literally avoids every park.
It was posted on Facebook and is on the USATF site. The park time is very very very small. They run past both AK and DHS without going in them.

No, it's not official at all. Anybody can post a route to USATF, and you can pick whatever name you want to post as.

It says it was posted by runDisney today. That is a serious fail. It doesn't even hardly go into Epcot, and skips the other parks completely. :-(

ETA: It looks like the course is completely outside of Epcot too.

With those of us staying at CBR, does anyone have a preference as to which village they care to stay in? We have always managed, liked, and have a request in for Barbados, but now I'm wondering with the planned construction and Barbados being one of the villages on the list for revamp if it isn't such a good idea?

Barbados is one of the areas that's supposed to be ripped down. We have a preferred room booked and requested Trinidad since they're tearing down part of Martinique too, but then I heard they are doing construction on the parking lots to get ready for the food tents so I'm not sure either option is really good for us. I think I would request Jamaica with any other room categories.

That course is something else... glad I didn't sign up. Yikes!

Let's not let this get out of hand. This is NOT the real route. Anyone can create a USATF route and pick the name runDisney. The real runDisney would not post their route here.

Look here (http://www.usatf.org/routes/view.asp?rID=588270). I just posted a route as runDisney as well. Again, this is not the real course!
