Thanks guys... he was 95, and had been on oxygen for over a year for COPD and emphysema, so it wasn't unexpected, but he had also bounced back sooo many times that we had started to think he might be Ironman. Even still, he was probably the best example of a good man that I had in my life. The kind of guy who raised three daughters, worked until his 80s, just because he loved doing it, and knew how to fix pretty much everything. The kind of grandpa that had an endless supply of very tall tales, too, some of which later proved out to be true. LOL.
He took me on my first trip to Disney, too, when I was about six. We went in their camper, which he pulled behind his big old Buick. Miraculously, there was something left of me after the mosquitoes at Ft. Wilderness had their way with me, so I am alive today to remember that I was also butted by a goat on that trip. And he accidentally rolled the power window up on my fingers. Good times.
