November/December 2016 discount code watch

Thanks guys... he was 95, and had been on oxygen for over a year for COPD and emphysema, so it wasn't unexpected, but he had also bounced back sooo many times that we had started to think he might be Ironman. Even still, he was probably the best example of a good man that I had in my life. The kind of guy who raised three daughters, worked until his 80s, just because he loved doing it, and knew how to fix pretty much everything. The kind of grandpa that had an endless supply of very tall tales, too, some of which later proved out to be true. LOL.

He took me on my first trip to Disney, too, when I was about six. We went in their camper, which he pulled behind his big old Buick. Miraculously, there was something left of me after the mosquitoes at Ft. Wilderness had their way with me, so I am alive today to remember that I was also butted by a goat on that trip. And he accidentally rolled the power window up on my fingers. Good times. :D

Ugggggh I'm getting so antsy. My grandpa passed away yesterday, and between that and complete disenchantment with work, I am in dire need of a recharge. I am ready for vacation, and a RO discount would be such good news. For now, I guess it's back to daydreaming... almost in the double digits now.

Sorry for your loss.

I have a couple questions that have probably been discussed before but I was only casually paying attention because I didn't anticipate that we would ACTUALLY be booking a room-only!! :yay::yay:

1. A room-only reservation requires a deposit of the first night's stay, but this is fully refundable up to fairly close to arrival, correct?

2. How quickly do you anticipate these discounts getting snapped up? We're interested in 2 standard rooms at Pop Century. I'm wondering if I need to have my TA on standby to get them booked as soon as the discount drops.

I have asked my TA to book as soon as she sees a discount...I worry that they will go very quickly.

1. Yes.
2. I would put my agent on standby. A standard might not even be available right out of the gate- no way to know.

I've been watching this board like a hawk, ya know, after I check Disney's website for special offers, to look for a discount to add to the reservation I made a couple weeks ago.

I couldn't get time away from work to go before the Nov. 5 deadline for all the current offers, so we're going a week later, and I'd love a reduced rate.

But I just realized, I booked a MYW package-- if there was a RO discount rolled out, I wouldn't even be able to apply it, would I?

Is it possible to use a RO offer on my room if I have a room + tickets package?

No you would have to cancel and rebook as a room only. Packages and room reservations are handled by two different entities.

The room only discount can be applied when you have a package booked. It just applies the percent off to the room part. You can modify online or call if the discount is available for the resort and room you have booked. My current reservation is Nov 4-12 and it is a package and I have the current discount applied to the night that falls within the current discount period. 3 years ago I had a package at AoA that had a room discount.

Omg, what the fudge just happened to my November dates??? All of a sudden TP is sending me emails that all the crowd levels have gone up and now some of the overall crowd days are likean 8 where they used to be a 5 or 6... waaaaah.

What dates were you looking at in November?

11/12-11/19... last day in parks 11/18. I was trying to see if there was a reason given... but TP for at least a couple of those days updated the overall crowd level from 6 to 8. I am doing everything I can to minimize crowds, but I chose that week because it was supposed to be a low crowd week, and hearing that it's going to be at an 8 several of our days is kinda disheartening.
