BOG Breakfast-How Many Trips Through The Mine?

Correct. There was a CM stationed at the 7DM entrance politely informing folks that "The park is not opened yet". We asked if she knew when we could ride 7DM and all she would tell us is that we could ride it once the park opens. We got on the ride well ahead of the first wave of rope droppers arrived and that's all I really wanted/expected.

EDIT: I'll add that I don't know if they've stopped letting folks ride 7DM prior to park opening altogether. That's just how it worked the day we were there.
Great info.

Even if they do stop the early rides that allowed 2 or 3 trips through the mine, being allowed the one ride ahead of everybody else is still a really good "perk".:)

We were there April 23 and April 25, we got one ride in before rope drop. They held us until right as the opening ceremony concluded. By the time we were off, the rope droppers had arrived. In order to not rush thru breakfast, I would plan on being at the park no later than 7:30ish to get thru bag check and the turnstiles. They will let you in at 7:45. Leisurely take your pics and head to breakfast, but make sure you pre-order. Anything up to the 8:20 time slot should give plenty of time, but I would get to BOG a bit earlier than that. The first morning we had not allowed enough time to get to the parks and felt very rushed, we were going thru bag check about 7:50. The next morning we adjusted and went thru bag check closer to 7:35 or so and it was a more peaceful breakfast experience!

This morning we had a BOG ADR for 8:05am. The breakfast line was already long when we got to the park entrance, so after they started letting us in around 7:50-7:55, it was exactly 8:05 by the time we got back to BOG. We preordered so we got right in, and then it took about 10 minutes to get our food after we sat down. We ate without rushing, finished up by 8:40, and headed outside. There were about 20-30 people ahead of me in the 7DMT line being held just across the BOG bridge. They led us to the ride when the park opening announcement started to play at 8:48, and I got one trip through the mine. Had I been at the front of the line after eating, and had I not been behind several slow movers in line, I probably could have gotten two trips. When I got off the ride, the posted wait was already 30 minutes and the queue wrapped out and around near Winnie the Pooh. We headed to PPF and went through a 5-minute SB line. By 9:06 I'd finished 7DMT and PPF.

That's exactly the advice that I'd give to anyone who has or is interested in a PPO ADR.

We have an 8:55 BOG on 5/22. We will enter the park at 7:45, walk leisurely, ride 7DMT at 8:45 and walk to breakfast.

So we have a Garden Grill for 8:20 on June 18, the day after Soarin reopens. How many rides do you think we'll get?

We have a pre park opening BOG breakfast for our Mk day. I have 7DMT FP starting at 9:05. I wanted to be sure we had the FP just in case. We planned on going to PPF right after but I am wondering if we should try to get to 7DMT first as long as we are out but 8:40 and then ride PPF. this way I can change our FP to something else. Any suggestions? By the way what is the link to doing the pre order at BOG

By the way what is the link to doing the pre order at BOG

If you click on your BOG reservation in MDE (or tap it on the app) you should see your reservation details and a link to place your order. We have two BOG PPOs during our trip and still need to order. Thanks for the reminder.

Hey that is right, your trip is shortly after ours!! Hope you will get the chance to see AK at night! unfortunately we will miss the opportunity by 10 days

We did this last year with a breakfast at CP. We finished and headed to FL and got in line for 7DMT. Any reason we couldn't do the same this year? We aren't looking to ride before park opening. We just want to be let in the line once the park opens. In 2014, they made us wait on the bridge to Tomorrowland and wouldn't let us starting walking towards 7DMT until the rope drop people caught up to where we were waiting.

If I was in that position, I would line up to ride 7DMT after BOG, then run to PPF, then go back to 7DMT with the FP. If there's something else you'd really rather ride instead of doing 7DMT a second time, though, then you could change your FP to something else (I wouldn't change it until after you finish your first ride on 7DMT, though).

You think it's possible to be done at GG by 9? Being a ts restaurant, I'd be surprised.

We ate at GG on Wednesday. Had an 8:00am ADR but didn't make it there until about 8:10. It's TS, but it's family style with all of your food brought out at the beginning. We met all four characters within 15 minutes (much faster than CP!). We didn't rush through our meal and still finished in time to be first in line for Joy and Sadness over in Innoventions West at 8:50 (then waited until 9 for them to start meeting).

Just wanted to add that someone going to the park with a smartphone could preorder right before the ADR if they don't know what they want in advance. We placed our breakfast order on the bus on the way to our ADR.

I think you'd be fine. Right behind me in line yesterday there was a guy who had eaten at BOG with his son. While we waited, the rest of his family came and got in line after eating at Cinderella's. If you go through the castle instead of trying the Tomorrowland bridge, you will look like just another person with a BOG breakfast ADR.

I don't "think" they will do any "early rides".

I think you would just be first in line for the first flight of the day and board just ahead of the Maingate/IG line.

But,you never know, they may give you an early flight before Park Opening, but I would doubt it.

I had an 815 BOG this week (Wed. 4/27). Got to park by 730 and was 2nd in line to enter park when it opened around 745. Stopped to take pictures and were still 2nd in line when arriving to BOG. Our pre-order didn't work for some reason so ordered when we got there. Got out by 830-840 and were again 2nd in line waiting for Mine Train. Both CMs I saw said we had to wait but as soon as we heard Welcome Show start that we'd be free to go anywhere. Once it started they let us in FP for SDMT and we got 2 rides in before RD crowd arrived. Was perfect and so worth it. (I ordered 2 kids meals for my daughter and I).

All of you who are answering about recent trips, did you take Disney transportation or did you drive yourselves or take a cab? Just curious how reliable Disney buses are for getting you to the parks early. Thanks!

Thanks, this is what we did last year. But in 2014 they were holding everyone until the rope drop folks caught up. I hope with there being a paid morning event won't throw a wrench in our plans!

Has anyone done child swap with this ride after BOG? Just wondering how it works on 7DMT. We'll have an 11mo, so we'll have to split up in two groups. Wondering how that will affect going to PPF afterward as well.
