APRIL 2016 Rental Car Discount ~ Promo Code ~ Rate Watch

Can someone tell me what the $50 off coupon is from and also what the AS! and TB1 are from? I am uncomfortable blindly using these. Thank you!
Also, I am a AP and don't know where to find the discount code.

From what I've found AS1 and TB1 codes are for residents of South America. These are in the background when the Vegas Brazil code is used. That said, I've used the VB code many time without issue, checking in online and going straight to the garage.

I'm unaware of where the $50 coupon is from.

The $50 coupon code is an Alamo Insiders code.

I have read that many people have no issues when renting @ MCO with the Vegas code.(kiosk and to the garage) We are renting from the CCC and am wondering since I will actually have to go to the counter and talk to a person, will I have any problems. I got a sweet deal on a convertible for $190 for the week using VB code and $50 coupon. I have a back up for a Malibu with dollar @ wyndham for $80 / week with no code.(city special). I just don't want to deal with a hassle day one. The $100 isn't a big deal, my kids think it will be cool to have a Mustang convertible for the week.
Has anyone had any issues at the CCC ?

I have never done online check-in before, but since I am seeing potential issues with the VB code and will be traveling with little kids, doing it ahead of time seems like a good idea. I am leaving on Friday, would people who have done this in the past recommend waiting until the last minute to check-in so I can keep checking rates or should I just do it now and be done with it? I am happy with the rate I have now ($189 for a week for a standard SUV through Alamo), but a better deal means more money for Disney!

I checked in online yesterday for my pickup this Saturday. No need to wait. If you find a better rate, you can just check in again.

Awesome! Thank you, I will do it tonight when I have DH's license info as well. Only 3 sleeps to go!

Yelp reviews are a mixed bag when it comes to service at the CCC. Most have to do with waiting or one instance seems to have a poorly trained employee checking them in and charging for a full tank of gas (that could happen at any location, always do your walk around with a camera both before and after, and check those receipts!) In general, I don't think you'll have any problems.

So here's a question.

If one were to rent from Alamo using the product code AS1 or TB1, and then have a wreck...could Alamo say you rented the car fraudulently? Just a thought.
I'm struggling using a code that I know is for someone who is from S.A. I am not and it makes me feel like I'm selling my integrity for $32.

I can get a good price using my costco membership and the alamo $50 code. I think I'll stick with that.

It's funny how us adults measure time to our Disney trip like we measured time to Christmas as kids. We never really grew up, did we?

I checked in online yesterday for my pickup this Saturday. No need to wait. If you find a better rate, you can just check in again.
Caution: if you do this, make sure that you go back and cancel the first reservation (the one you already checked in for).
Once you check-in online you will be subject to a cancellation charge if you forget to cancel. You have already checked in so they do have all of your personal info (including Credit card info)
Personally we don't usually check-in until the day before we leave, but I'm always hunting for the best rate right down to the last minute.

I had a compact reserved for Alamo last week. When I got to the aisle, there were 2 white Hyundai Accents. I asked the guy if they had anything else and he said just take anything from the full-size aisle. Camry for the price of an Accent proves it never hurts to ask.

I used the Costco contract id and the $50 coupon code, will I be able to use online check in as well? Hoping they will honor the reservation price for a minivan.

Yes you can. I have the Costco and 50 coupon and was able to check in with problem.

Never mind! I found the code & my rate had dropped so I just got a minivan for only $16 more than our standard SUV we had booked. Heading to TX next week & will be doing lots of driving so this will eliminate a LOT of the fighting between my 3 kids. Love this thread!!!

We are arriving on April 30th and staying onsite. We were planning to use the DME and get groceries delivered. This morning I went to the Alamo site, logged in with my insiders login, used the AM1 product code, typed in the AD4004JDK coupon (which may not have been used since I asked for a 1 day rental) I got a small SUV from MCO to car care center pick up 4/30 drop off car care center 5/1 0600 for $5.62. I'll go get my own groceries.

Please let us know how that works out. There are a number of others who want to use that $50 code on one or two day rentals too.

I forgot to post sooner...the warm FL weather and beach were a priority!

We rented a minivan from Alamo at Ft. Myers airport from the 15-25th.

My dh went to the first car, did a sniff test...no smoke stench so we just took that car.

I believe we had the $35 coupon with the Vegas Brazil code.

Drove around to check out and the guy hands us the paper to sign. I was included as a free driver. As my dh signed I said check the rate. It was no longer $240 but $360ish. The guy said the extra driver was $11/day so my dh showed him our paperwork that had the driver included and he fixed it and off we went.
