I know I am both lists, but will be giving to those only on the Ocotber 27th on the 1st cruise, the B2Bers and October 30th sailors on this thread on cruise 2 and giving to the new sailors (November 3rd) on cruise 3. So just once to each sailor/cabin/family depending on the gift I come up with.

We have also started buying clothes for the cruise! lol I have an extra closet so I have been hanging the clothes in there so packing will be easier once the time comes :)

I justify getting the clothes now b/c once the stores sell out it will be really hard to find nice sundresses and such...I am going to do round two cruise shopping probably in June once they update the stores will all new stuff...I am also soooo happy we are under 200 days!

Unless you sign up for the FE for both cruises and are on both lists you are not obligated to give on the 2nd one. So far a couple of families on the 2nd cruise want to and by cruise time others on the 2nd cruise may wish to join them for their own FE. As more people join the thread I'm sure their list will grow.

Now I a little more confused.

I'm on both the Oct 30th and the Nov 3rd cruises.

For my FE list is it JUST the Oct 30th list or is it the Nov 3rd list as well?

Sorry for being such a pain but I have a chance to buy something in bulk and I'm trying to figure out if I should plan for 1 cruise FE or 2 cruise FE.

thanks.

Trish,

I think it is your choice, if you want to give to both cruises or just to the main b2b group.

I won't be double FEing at all, just including each individual family on all my cruises.

omg havent even thought about packing or anything for the cruise i have been dieting to lose some weight for summer and the cruise so i havent even begun to know what size i will be i have already gone down a 3sizes icant think october yet. we have a couple weddings in october so formal night outfits will be easy and i wear summerdresses in the summer so i have not to worried i will start thinking around july august. I have no clue what light packing is since i usually pack a suitcase just for a weekend trip here LOL.

Hi Everyone!

My family and I just booked our cruise on the Dream! :cool1: We'll be sailing with you all on October 30th. It will be DH & Me, along with our 2 kids DS (8) and DD (6).
This will be our first cruise with the kids. We've been talking it up their whole lives as my husband and I have been on 4 Disney Cruises (pre-children) with our first sailing in 1999 on the Magic for our Honeymoon.
We look forward to getting to know everyone!

Best Wises~
Brenna :)

Brenna, welcome to you and your family. I'm Stephanie. DH=Pete, DD=Kayla (6 now but turns 7 on July 8th). Looking forward to our cruise...only 195 days away until we are on the Dream.

OK experienced cruisers. Now that we are almost 6 months away, I've started to plan clothes. (Hey, it's never too soon to start :lmao:) I found the cutest, fancy dress for DD7 and am hoping she'll be able to wear it to dinner. I am having a hard time figuring out what our dinner-wear nights are going to be, though. The first night I understand to be cruise-casual (no shorts or tank tops, think skirts and casual sundresses), right? The next night is Halloween, so should I plan on the girls wearing their costumes to dinner? (They will probably be some sort of princesses.) Then will the third night be pirate night? We are not planning on full pirate regalia, most likely pirate t-shirts and shorts or skirts. Should we be wearing those things to dinner, or will it be a dressy dinner and change into pirate clothes after (we have the main dining)? Then the last night is cruise casual again, yes? So, is there anywhere in there she can wear a sparkly fancy dress?

We have been on longer cruises the past few years...but from what I have read, no formal night on the 4 night. There is a semi and formal night on the 7 night. On the 5 night we did last summer, I think every night was cruise casual except pirate night. There may have been a semi-formal night, but I don't remember a lot of people dressing up at all. The shorter cruises are definitely more casual. Our last 4 night was when DD was only 5 months old. We wanted to do a Halloween cruise this year, and take a trip on the Dream.

We wear jeans or shorts and pirate shirts my BIL printed for us with a design I got off DIS Boards on pirate night...including to the dining room.

Our DD loves fancy dresses...anything that sparkles is her favorite. Kids can pretty much wear what they want even to the dining rooms. We intentionally have second dining booked so DD can go straight from dinner to the clubs when they pick the kids up from dinner. We tend to dress her in ger favorite girls dresses for the show, but then change her before dinner so that she can go straight to play without having to go back to the room to change.

You guys are a bunch of slackers, we're already packed!!! Just kidding:) If it were up to my daughter we'd be packed and just wait by the front door until it was time to leave. We're doing the same thing picking things up here and there. It's really hard to find things for a cruise if we wait too long. The fall and winter clothes will be out in the stores by the end of July. Hopefully, that's when we'll find some good bargains on swim suits and things like that. Everyone is pretty excited in our household. It was great getting the FE list to see how many and who all was going to be doing the exchange.

Woo hoo! Booked air last night! Prices dropped form $425 to $230 in the last week. I told my DH it's now official. Once you have the airline tickets, you can't change your mind.

Happy Monday, everyone.

Nice grab on the airfare. We have our 1 way for $91.00 (+ extra leg room upgrade) each and now waiting on the return half to open on Jetblue.

I am hoping for some sales too, and I won't know my size until closer to the cruise. But I am shopping this weekend in Buffalo, since nothing from last year will stay on my bottom half, I can't hold them up all the time, I need my hands to do some work. I have attempted the sewing the waist band over on it's self, but it looks really odd. :)

I have been checking Southwest every day. I was able to get one ticket, one way for me. When I went back to get DHs the prices went up  yes within 5 minutes...so right now, I'm going by myself with no way of getting back....that may not be a bad thing.

Hello,
My name is Michele I will be joining you guys on the cruise with my DD ja_rule_lover420 and Jackie with her little family. This will be my first cruise I am sure I will have a great time. I hope there will be many others.

I was wondering if I should plan for 40 staterooms just so I have enough for everyone and those that still may join? Think this is enough or should I plan for more?

I have my FE gift idea and want to start getting it together. :goodvibes

Doing the happy dance tonight again! Had to go back to the airline website to check the prices. Kind of deal or no deal, thing. Did I make a good deal? In less than 24 hours the prices went up $100 per ticket! Good deal! Yay me!

Welcome Michele,

Nice to have you join us. Food is pretty good. Dinner is better than breakfast and lunch in my opinion. Palos is excellant:thumbsup2 Dont know bout Remy's yet.

Hope everyone had a good weekend.
Back when i can. We have sunshine after a month of rain so I am getting outside and walking the dogs today.:goodvibes

Is the food good on the ship?:laundy:

IMHO, it's not great, it's about the same quality you get at the parks. Breakfast is my least favorite on the ship. However, in all the times I have sailed, I have never been hungry, so it does it's job. I'm not a foodie so the quality of the food has never really affected my vacation.
