Getting excited about this cruise. All my focus has been on my upcoming cruise in May.

Do we need to redo the roll call list? I just looked at it and I know a few people have dropped out.

I was thinking the same thing. I did PM the moderator, but did not hear back yet.

Both Joannel and myself are on the first page. I would be happy to copy and paste the list to my post.

I know. we have been waiting a long time for this!!!

Thanks for the facebook link. That made it really easy!!

Happy St patricks day all!!! The partyer's are out, I could here them from my office. We were the 1-1:30 stop on the pub crawl!!!! Too bad I had a conference call with the new payroll company!!!

We need to get chatty it's less than six months away!!!!!

I don;t have much to chat about, live in a boring little world down here.

We are empty nesters, we have two boys 22 & 25. 25 yo lives in Austin TX with 7 of his closest friends. He is an auditor for the state of Texas. He and his friends were bored with Destin/ Ft walton and moved last summer. The 22 yo graduated from FSU last may and is in the Airforce and Stationed in Germany.

DH was in the Airforce for 25 years, he is now retired form the AF and is a computer geek for the US Gov. I was a stay at home mom until the kids went to school. I have been laid off a few times in the last few years due to our lovely economy. I now work for Margaritaville!!!!! I do accounting so it;s not he crazy side of it, but so far it has been fun!!!

This will be our 9th disney cruise. We are cruising with our disney friends Dan & Nancy, Leisha & Tommy. We met them on members cruises and now don't cruise with out them!!!!

I don't have much to chat about either - but I'll introduce myself & family.

I grew up in Vancouver BC and now live in Yellowknife NT with my husband and DD who is 7 and SO excited to be going on DCL - pretty sure we will never see her!

DH & I cruised to Alaska on our honeymoon and last year we cruised to Antarctica as a family. As you can see we are not tropical weather people! On our first cruise we didn't do any excursions but are planning to this time. There are so many to choose from it's hard to decide. The only decision I have made is it won't involve dog mushing as we can do that here.

This is our first Disney Cruise. Looking forward to getting to know people and a relaxing vacation - Now to get through the next 5 months!

You work for Jimmy Buffett and we're going on a cruise. What's the chances that you could get everyone some Boat Drinks at a reduced price? You'd be everyone's best friend on the boat.

It's a mixed bag to be honest. There are some lovely lovely coastal parts of the ride. There are also some old, ugly abandoned industrial parts (interesting to see but a bit sad as well, just a changing of industry and times so fascinating in that respect) and a lot of small stops. I'm not sure what you mean by sights of interest. The trains supposedly have been recently refurbished. We were on them in November of 2009 so it was pretty grey and rainy. In August though, it should be lovely out and the coastal part, just stunning. The train was nothing fancy but it was lovely not to drive and deal with the border. Border is easy going over, it's coming back that is a pita. The train was FABULOUS in that respect, both ways.

We took a cab to and from the train station, it was easiest from where we were and it really was lovely not to have to deal with a car since we were downtown all weekend. Nice to be able to read, listen to music, eat lunch etc. At the time it didn't link up with the light rail station, which was just barely complete for the Olympics, not sure if that is fixed now as that would make a huge difference in ease of access.

Thanks so much. The light rail link is my biggest concern. I think I will have a friend check that out for me.

Hello everyone. I am glad that this meet is picking up. A Lot of us booked this cruise over a year ago.

A little about myself... I am Christi. I will be traveling with my husband- Erik, son- Matt (13) and daughter -Marina (10).

This is our first Alaskan cruise. My family's 3rd DCL and my 4th ( I am going in May on the eastbound transatlantic in May--Very excited) I will be missing the warmth of Caribbean, though. There are so many great excursions it is hard to decide.

Hello everyone! I've been MIA for a while, working like crazy to help pay for the cruise :)
I'm Robyn and my DH is Rick and we have a DD10 Laurel going with us. Also in the cabin next to us is my mom Vicki and my dad Bob--my dad is turning 70 this year!!! Just months after the cruise. So we plan to celebrate.
We are first time cruisers and looking forward to seeing Alaska and the pacific coast. We are looking forward to shows, sites, FE and my daughter can't wait to head to the "club".
Can't wait to catch up with the thread and join the FB group.
See everyone really soon...less than 6 months. YEAH!!!

I know!!! We are not allowed to drink at where we work. I do get a food discount but not alcohol..... bummer.

He was here once, and since they forgot to tell the number cruncher in the office he was here I saw him drive down the driveway. He is putting on a benefit concert in Pensacola 4/28. His band is registered but so far he is not!!!

Well I couldn't get to work today. There was a controlled burn going on. Now since there is a little fog, the smoke is held down. Highway 98 is closed and all the bridges. So I turned around and came home. we have 88 check outs this morning and people can't leave and housekeepers can't get to work to clean the rooms!!!!

Oh my! I hope the rest of your day and your guests' day go much smoother.

Hi! I am Leisha travelng with DH Tom. We are empty nesters. We have a beautiful grandaughter (4 months) thanks to DS Ryan and DIL Alisha. We have a DD that is getting married in Oct to a wonderful guy. This cruise is so we can relax before the crazieness really kicks into gear.

I booked our pre stay hotel yesterday so it is really starting to become real at this point. This is our 6th disney cruise. We love cruising with our Disney Friends!!!

Quick question...
When I booked my room at the Pan Pacific, my Disney Visa had an international charge on it for the reservation.
My question... Is there a credit card that doesn't have fees to use in Canada while we are there...or is it just easier to carry cash, for expenses, and do we exchange US?
Thanks for the help!
