SDV Orlando 2010, August 27 - 29

Got to make my shirts this weekend and get packed up. Our dining room has become the "staging area" again this year. Oh, did you see in the e-mail where Nancy said to bring extra lighting? I'll have to see if the in-laws have something like that I could borrow. I don't have any lights like that; my craft room has an overhead light/fan and then I have an antique lamp from my grandma on my desk, and I sure won't be bringing that!

I have a light, and I'll bring a power strip too. Lisa has duct tape.

I need to get my shirts done. They may just end up plain shirts at this point.
 
I didn't get a pink shirt, so I guess I'll find something that I have to wear. Leaving for our road trip on Thursday.

Not signing up for any classes. Looking forward to Breakfast on Saturday.

I think my group will be in-at least 2 of us- 1 is going to HS on Saturday with her family that lives down there. I will bring a pink shirt and tell my group to bring one always(pink for Saturday right)?

I will be making my t-shirts this week. I've got a pink one and a blue one!

I'm in for the picture. Broke down and got a pink t-shirt today, but not sure I'll get the graphic onto it. JandJ, will you get that set up for us? (Don't want to have too many people signing us up). I'd be happy to chip in a few extra dollars if need be (I'd say go ahead and sign us up). I won't be going to the breakfast, but any time Friday or Saturday works for me.

I'm glad I had already planned to do pretty simple pages, since it sounds like I will definitely be missing having my big clamp-on light.
 
Okey dokey - I e-mailed Nancy to set up the portrait for Saturday and I'll let y'all know when I get a confirmation of the time. It will be really fun to have a picture of all of us together :goodvibes

I'm going to have to print my iron-ons at my in-laws because I didn't realize ink for our inkjet printer would be $58 :eek: A brand new printer/scanner at Wal-Mart is only $69! So, I'll get my shirts made this weekend.

I'll get a lamp, hopefully one of those with the "bendy" arm. I used to have one, but have no clue what happened to it. I can bring a power strip, too.

I'm not counting today because I'm already up and at the office, so I only have 4 more days of work and then I'm off for my birthday and then it's SDV :yay:
 
Jen, thanks for setting the photo up. I'm not working today so I only have 3 more work days and then a day to pack and then it'll be off to SDV!!!!! I can't wait to meet my roomie in person!:goodvibes
 
No word from Nancy about the photo session yet, but I'm sure they're incredibly busy. If I don't hear from her by tomorrow I'll e-mail again over the weekend.

Everyone who is traveling this weekend - be safe and be prepared for the heat! It's been in the mid-90's with "feels like" temps in the low-100's :sunny:

Anyone know off the top of your head what the size of our individual table space is? I saw it somewhere (thought I did) and now I can't find it. (I was going to try to be "casual" about my prep work, but as it gets closer I find that I want to plan better, so am doing a trial workspace layout). I'm flying so need to keep my stuff to a bare minimum, without forgetting something important. Thanks! :hippie::banana::hippie:

You normally get half of a 6' wide table with your crop registration.....

I (as usual) am only bringing my card making things. --- less to pack and carry and without pictures weighs less.

Can't wait to see everyone again next friday!!! (ONE MORE WEEK!!!!) We leave in the morining for our road trip down with a few stops along the way!!!

Starting to get my clothes together today- trying to not overpack- one of my downfalls. LOL I did find a pink Tinkerbell shirt to wear for the picture- hope that is OK. Thanks again Jen for putting that together too. :worship:
