SDV Orlando 2010, August 27 - 29

This the "Cast of Characters" list from the first post -- so there will be 18 of us scrapping? Or are there a couple more not on the list? (not that I have a critical need to know, just curious). (Plus there are a couple of others for the breakfast, which I will not be able to attend).

Lisa -- thank you -- yes, I'd have to say "you got friends!"

I don't expect to need scissors for much, but of course there will be something -- they're pretty essential (I "always" carry scissors, so the current rules for flying are difficult).

If you have a small pair they now allow one with blades up to 4 inches long so many of the small ones are actually fine in carry-on luggage.

I will be at breakfast but I am not scrapping this year- with stuff for dad's cancer and not knowing what would happen I just didn't feel like I could swing it.

Carol and Debra will be joining us, but since Rebecca will not be then we are down to 19.

Thank you -- I had missed that info -- great to know (my favrite pair isn't that long in total). Very sorry to hear about your Dad and that you won't be able to join us.

Renee - Oh, your poor hubby. I hope he'll be feeling better soon. Sounds like you're really prepared for the trip with the scooter and waterproof cast cover, though.

I started making my kits last night!! I'm off the whole week of our trip and we're not leaving until Wednesday evening- so I'll have that time to work on it all too.

Thanks- he is actually doing very well but at the time I was having to make decisions things didn't look so well and I wasn't sure if I would be here or in MD with mom and dad during the weekend. He is undergoing radiation right now but doing very well. They are pretty sure the chemo actually took care of the cancer- they are doing more to make sure they didn't miss anything.

I second Lisa's comment! We need our Rebecca time!
There were a couple of local gals I sat with 2 years ago that I've kept in touch with ... and requested they sit near us.

Leaving in 12 days ... better start prepping SOMETHING to work on,
or I'll be borrowing Buffy's book

I know I have 3 kits put together- that's it. I leave in 13 days myself.

Last night I went through all of my paper and found a bunch that I will never use. Some cardstock, some thin paper, tons of different themes and colors. A few older Disney designs that would be great for someone scrapping kid stuff. I'm going to bring it and if any of our group wants any of it, it's yours.

You will be in the "original" convention center aka the 2nd floor/Americas Level. I think ya'll will prefer it to Fantasia
