2010 Fall Dining for DVISA Is Out (See FIRST page)'

I don't know that it means anything, but I booked at POP and told the cm I was going to link my sister's ressies to mine when she made hers, and he suggested that she make it as soon as possible, so I just booked hers too. Rooms for free dining at POP may be limited already. Or the cm may just hang out here and wasn't acting on any knowledge of the situation.

Seems like a lot of people are getting e-mail confirmations, but will you get a confirmation if you used a TA to book your reservations and your FD? Even though she called me Thursday morning and said we're all set, I still like to see it

I book three rooms for Pop one for my sister, my mom, and myself. I was on hold for 35 minutes and after another 40 minutes on the phone with the CM, I found out this evening that she messed up all three reservations. The price seemed a bit high as to what I was calculating it to be and I discovered my pulling up my reservations that she put all in preferred rooms. I do not want to stay in a preferred building and I don't find it worth the extra money. Now I have to call back again tomorrow and try to get it fixed. I never said I wanted preferred rooms and she never asked. This is the fifth trip I have booked to Disney and have never had a problem before but I'm just irritated. I think I"m done venting but I'm at least glad that we got free dining. Anyone have any suggestions as to how to voice a complaint.

I sure hope it's not sold out on Monday, I will be on the phone at 7am sharp. But even if it is sold out, we're still going to Disney and we'll still have free dining somewhere, and it doesn't get any better than that. I'm more excited about this trip than I've ever been about a trip. It will be my much loved grand son's first trip!

is your TA a disney-specialist? ear-marked status? college of disney knowledge graduate? it truly makes all the difference in the "world!"

Just an FYI but EarMarked status can ONLY be achieved by a US based agency. So the EarMarked issue is a moot point. Although I completely agree with you that a *real* Disney Specialist makes all of the difference in the world.

DaniB - You'll LOVE CSR. If that doesn't pan out, then I recommend PoR before Pop!!! We are staying at the YC. Can't wait.

totally...and i'm not even going for free dining..
i'm helping a friend of mine who is going to WDW for the very first time in her life EVER!!!! she and her husband and 2 kids...
i told her about free dining a few weeks ago ...

so now i've been on the watch for it to come out for her...

i just sent her a "get ready, set, go" email telling her that it was coming out on monday and she should GET READY....

Well I had pop booked for the past month with regular dining. Once free dining was announced I upgraded to port Orleans riverside and the price was essentially the same. It's a great excuse to catch an upgrade in resorts and riverside is one of the best, this will make my fifth time at that resort (already stayed at pop five times so why not).

I had the same thing happen, and was booked in preferred. I decided to just keep it though and hope we get a room close to the food court. I was annoyed though that the CM just booked withiut asking though.

it depends on "how" she's staying in a villa... is she an owner or renting points? then, no, free dining is not available... if she is booking it thru disney travel as a "resort room" (not thru dvc) then yes, free dining may be available... it's worth it to ask

Both of you posters need to get back on the phone with Disney and ask them to change your reservations to standard rooms. That is something that should easily be changed, but I wouldn't wait if I were you in case the number of standard rooms is limited.

Hey just posted this on another thread, but there seems to be more activity here. I just called to switch my ressie at POR for 10/1-10/9 to FD, and was told by CM that there are no rooms available! I did not think the rooms would fill up so quickly! She said to try back later tonight. Does this seem right?

Not sure. But I do know that this is the moderate that you can fit the most people in, so I am sure this may be one of the very first moderates to fill up, being as more people can fit into one room with FD. The better the savings.
