DIS Digi-Scrappers Challenge #6 (5/21 - 5/27)

Wow.. you take a couple days off, and look what happens!! LOL You guys, those layouts are beautiful!!!!!!!!

I gotta get my butt back into gear! Thank goodness for a long holiday weekend! LOL

And thanks for hosting Melissa!

DisneyCruiser2008 - Love the chrome photocorners! And using tires as "ribbon" just worked sooo well!
Bean - What a cuite LO! Love the pink and brown together!
Yzerbear - love the Mulan! Mushu is one of my faves!!!
Bookmom - love the faded in lyrics from the Pooh song. Great LO!
Fran - that page just POPS!!!!
Steno - great Robin Hood LO! Love the Oodalolly title!!!
Pooh - Love the real pooh with the topiary one!
Labdogs - That goofy page pops too! I like the yellow ribbon on the side. I have some curled ribbon like that but haven't figured out how to use it. Now I see.
Tinker - Stitch is such a great character! I love the title!!! And your journaling is great!

This is a great idea for a challenge! I sure hope I get time to participate. Work's been crazy lately. Ahhhhhhh..... if only I could sit home and scrap all day and not have to worry about how the bills are gonna be paid. :rotfl2:

Tink -- I love the Pirate Stitch LO! That was from a cruise, right? He looks cool in his pirate gear and it looks like your girls are having a great time! Nice work!

Thanks Jessica- and yes, this is from the cruise. I wonder if they have at the Pirate and Princess Party though? Would seem fitting....

My older girl was actually pouty the whole night because I didn't get her some elaborate Elizabeth Swan get up that she saw others wearing. And she wanted nothing to do with looking like a man pirate (as she said). But my little one, she loved every minute of being a pirate. One of my favorite memories ever of her is playing pirate that night-

Oh, I adore pirate stitch!!! That is so fun. Bean loved Stitch above all last trip. She spent her grandma money on a stitch pillow, stuffed stitch, and how to draw stitch! She would want to take a cruise if she saw that!

Here's my entry:

This is such a fun challenge! I just LOVE Character photos!!!!! They are my favorite.

Fran - This page is simply BURSTING with excitement and magic. I REALLY love it! FAB-u-lous!

Lauren - So glad you got the kit. sending it was no problem! I LOVE ROBIN HOOD!! He's one of my faves too. The oodalaly title is AWESOME!! I love this kit for Robin Hood pics. How fun.

Pooh46 - Adorable. Your love of Pooh Bear really shines through. What a fun kit too.

Jess - I like that you got carried away. It's fun and goofy! Very appropriate. Love the bright colors and the sweet photos. Very cute.

Tinker326 - Soooo cute! Pirate Stitch! What a crack up!! Your girls are so cute with him! Great work.

Ngneer98 - Gotta love Cinderella. I love all the Cinderella Blue you've used. Soooo cute. I love the photos. I love when princesses hold the little ones' hands. It's so sweet!! Great work on this one.

How fun! I'm just really enjoying seeing everyone's pages for this challenge. Melissa - great job with this challenge!! I LOVE IT.

Beautiful! I like the photo corners you used and how you combined the elements from the last challenge with this one. Great photos. I've never had dinner at Cinderella's royal table, but maybe next time we go. :) Terrific job! Thank you for participating! :)

I think this is such a talented group. I love the way everyone helps each other and the pages are truly wonderful. :cheer2:

Yzerbear19 - Love your lo's. The gold and the stitching really pop.

Sleeping Bean - I love pink and brown used together and that was a great way to use Marie in the background.

Bookmompooh - Pooh is my daughters favorite. Love the lyrics and the pinned journal box.

Fran98765 - Your stars and swirls are a great touch. They really make the page.

Stenogoddess - I love this kit. You used the embellishments to really make the page pop.

Pooh46 - Your Pooh overlay is fantastic. Love the page.

Labdogs42 - Gorgeous page! I love the different fonts and all the bright colors. I always admire your work.

Tinker326 - Love the theming and your girls are darling.

ngneer98 - Love the layering of papers and the title.

Labdogs - That goofy page pops too! I like the yellow ribbon on the side. I have some curled ribbon like that but haven't figured out how to use it. Now I see.

I wasn't sure how to use it either, so I just put it on there and moved it around until I liked where it was and then I "stapled" it in place! I need to learn how to loop those kinds of ribbons through things, but I haven't mastered that yet. I just saw a tutorial on it the other day, but I haven't had time to do anything about it! Glad you liked my little experiment!

Include at least one button, brad, or photo prong

Hopefully my paper clip counts for this? Otherwise, jeweled flower is a brad. Trust me. ;)

The journaling block & the bottom paper are by Ellie Lash (Sunday Morning & How She Shines.) Everything else is by Britt (My Grateful Heart, Sunshine Sweets, HS Never Ends, Glitzy Frames, Who Needs a Fairy Godmother, and You Can Quote Me:Animations.) Both papers, the flower & the glittered heart are recolored. Journaling font is Angelina.

Don't know why the journaling is hard to read, and why the color of the title isn't as rich as in photoshop. Both looked fine after being resized in Photoshop. Still have things to learn, I guess!

I trust you. ;)

I think it has more to do with uploading the photos to the Internet that changes the colors. I've noticed that with things as well, but never worry too much about it.

I will say that I was quite surprised you picked Mary Poppins. I thought for sure you would pick Snow White. But I really like this layout. I love all the glittery items. I also like how you used the word art. Awesome job! Thank you so much for participating! :)

KSWM/Heather Really great Mary Poppins page! Like all the sparkly elements. Mary Poppins is my favorite too, which brings me to my next question for Melissa:

Melissa Are there rules about scraping the same character? Mary Poppins is my favorite as well, and I have already planned out my LO (in my head, not yet on the computer) Just like Heather, I had planned on using "practically perfect in every way" as one of the 3 traits (other traits will be different) Is that OK to do? I know that scraplifting is OK, but this isn't really scraplifting. Be honest because I don't want to offend anyone on the thread. I can easily scrap a favorite character of one of my children instead. Thanks!

I'm loving the Mary Poppins layout. I just watched that again for the first time as an adult and the writing was so clever! There is so much wonderful humor there for adults as well as children. Loved it!
And who couldn't love Mary?

No rules against using the same character. Scrap whichever character is your favorite. I see no problem with it. :)

Wow girls, these are FABULOUS! I had this thread bookmarked but for some reason wasn't receiving any notifications so I just spent 20 mins going through it. Such beautiful, beautiful work!
I've pretty much done most of the characters from the last trip so I'll have to scan from DD's first trip. That is, if I get a chance. Last week or two of school and my lappy keeps getting commandeered for school final projects.

kswm!! I love Mary!! What a great page! She is practically perfect in every way! GREAT LO GIRL!!

So my new kit was released today! So now the "mystery" of this week's prize has been revealed!! haha Check out my blog for the mystery prize kit, and a freebie add-on (which I know I'm sorry most of you already have most of the stuff in it!!)

xoxo

Here is my entry for the challenge. Thanks for hosting. I love all of the amazing entries so far... and all of the CUTE pics with the characters.

This is of my favorite character GOOFY with my two kids.

DisneyCruiser2008, Sleeping Bean, Bookmompooh, Fran98765, Stenogoddess, Pooh46, Labdogs42, Tinker326, ngneer, and loveGoofy, your LOs are all fantastic!! I'll try to come back later and be more specific. :P

I think it has more to do with uploading the photos to the Internet that changes the colors. I've noticed that with things as well, but never worry too much about it.

Hmm, ok. It's weird because all the colors are right except the title!

I will say that I was quite surprised you picked Mary Poppins. I thought for sure you would pick Snow White.

Yea, it definitely was between Mary & Snow White. I decided to go with Mary because I already did my Snow White LO from October, and I didn't meet her on the most recent trip. I haven't done any pages from my March trip, and I figured if I want to turn it into my Mary character LO at some point, I can do that. I think these things through too much!

But I really like this layout. I love all the glittery items. I also like how you used the word art. Awesome job! Thank you so much for participating! :)

Thanks!

KSWM/Heather Really great Mary Poppins page! Like all the sparkly elements.

Thank you!

Don't worry about, no offense taken!! :goodvibes

And who couldn't love Mary?

That's one of the things I LOVE about Disney films. Sure they are great for kids, but watching them as adults, there are so many more layers to enjoy.

kswm!! I love Mary!! What a great page! She is practically perfect in every way! GREAT LO GIRL!!

Thank you!! The LO wouldn't have been possible without you since almost everything I used is your stuff! When (I'm at the point that I say when, not if!) I get to the point where I know I'm going to do this a lot and start actually buying digital stuff, the first thing I'm going to do is go on a shopping binge in your store. :)

LoveGoofy - VERY cute entry!! Of COURSE your page is Goofy! :) I lyl at SM already but I just wanted to say how much I like this page!! Love the colors and the button O's! :)

I finally neglected enough laundry to get this one done :) We all love Lilo - so here she is:
