Has anyone made their own stuff for a Pirate Welcome in their rooms (like the official ME Pirate Adventure). We've done our own Mickey's Big Welcome in the past, but are staying in the pirate rooms at Caribbean Beachand would love to do a pirate welcome.
Thought I'd post some pics of my finished projects for our upcoming trip with two of our grandkids. I'm giving each of them a gift bag after we check into our room. Additional photos, including the Tshirts I made, are here:

Autograph books, Epcot passports, magnets, and personalized photo that I've since put in a clear acrylic frame
Other items for the girl's bag. Bought mini M&M's in the tube, emptied the candy into a treat bag, and used the empty tube for pressed penny money. Lanyard and glow sticks are from the dollar store.
And the items for my grandson
I plan to post the dinner invitations on the frig each morning
I also plan to decorate the room a little, using a Mickey welcome banner and some Mickey heads (LOVE the Home Depot paint chips ). I had SO much fun making all this stuff!
Unfortunately They last just fine. I like making new shirts for my trips. I am still using shirts that I made 3 years ago for trips. It's hard telling DH, but look at how worn these shirts are, we need new ones when they don't look worn. LOL Seriously, they last just fine. they are the only transfers I use.

Try this link for Natalie's DISigns. It worked for me just now.

love your ideasI've not done a pirate welcome but I made a pirate bag of goodies for our flight home.
There was Chocolate coins for treasure, pirate stickers, Pencils with skulls on,
You can add an eye patch, a bandana, fake ear-ring and a sword. A skull and cross bones tshirts or a Disney PoC one. The publisher Dk have a Pirate book in their eyewitness series that is educational, that we have at home. Amazon has loads of fun pirate books. There is some great PoC Lego out at the moment too which keeps little people busy when you are back in your room. Pirate balloons to decorate your room. A bedroom door hanger (surrender your booty at the door, or no landlubbers permitted) print and laminate (makes a good souvinerr for home). I've seen basic skulls and cross bones bracelet kits that kids could make up in the room and then they have something to wear at the parks and take home. Skull and crossbones flag for the room wall. Skull and crossbones pillow case. Pirate snap cards or top trumps. (I wish I'd added more to my pirate bag now!)
I Made a pirate passport (more of an activity book). I decorated it with clip art and lovely DISigns from here.
Add a photo of your 'pirate', other passport information: age' name of ship, job on ship, favourite treasure.
Then i added colouring pages, crosswords and wordsearches etc with a pirate theme. I made a pocket for a treasure map and printed out a blank map for DS to decorate himself. I also made pirate pendants from DISigns printede onto paper, laminated and then corded (won't last ages, but they are fun)
Websites for pirate printables to make your own pirate activity book:

http://family.go.com/disney/pkg-disney-pirate-crafts-and-recipes/ (I wanted to make the voodoo doll from this site, but ran out of time- maybe next time!)
http://www.homeschoolshare.com/pirates.php (I Made a few activity books for our trip, ad I really liked the America homeschool stuff that uses lap books, as the activities were engaging to keep DS busy, but they were educational at the same time)
I printed the passport on a5 paper and then added a plastic sheet front and back and spiral binded it all.
Thanks for all of the inspiration and help! I thought I'd post SOME of what I've made for the trip.
Welcome Letter from Jack Sparrow and Pirate Oath

This thread gave me a lot of inspiration and I wanted to share my finished projects. We went in Jan 2012, had a great trip and the shirts and other projects made it special!
My daughter and I worked on these projects together. I printed and ironed; she glittered and trimmed the shirts for my granddaughters. This was my first time trying something like this and it wasnt hard at all. It did take a lot of work and time but it was so very worth it! We got a lot of compliments on the shirts and autograph books from cast members and characters. And best of all my granddaughters loved them!
Love it!!! Where did you get the "We're going to Disney" Disign? And what was used to put the glitter on? Thanks!
