The amazing Australiankaren"s Completed TR..

Yeah your life really sucks Karen :rotfl2::rotfl2:. You are very spoilt young lady. :)

yep...my life is so terrible.....first world problems......and :offtopic:Andona must be back in the country...the dollar has dipped again......

So glad you all enjoyed the TR...its hard to work out what you people would like to know/see...NOT!

Really hard now to get back into the swing of things at work..I keep wanting to toddle down to the food court for my diet coke.....

As for me looking young.....thank you....my secret is to holiday often:rotfl2:

I preferred your TR than mine. I like your quick writing style, lots of humour and just enough details with lots of pics. I find I ramble on and on and on, I can't seem to help myself, and of course with alot less humour than yourself :).

I'll have to step it up a notch :lmao:.

And if holidaying keeps you looking young, I need to book some more holidays I think.

We're not staying at a WDW property next year as we've got Wyndham timeshare but I think we'll have to have a sticky beak in some of the Disney places.
You can't exchange through RCI? What size unit are you after? Old Key West and Saratoga Springs are pretty easy to get as a studio or 1 bedroom (outside of US school hols) and if you waitlist for a 2 bedroom at the right time of year, you never know.
I've not stayed at Reunion (it's only 3 bedrooms), but if you were planning on staying at Kingstown Reef, it's pretty basic. You can get a LOT more value exchanging, even if you stay off property. I usually don't even use my credits and just do the exchange rentals for Orlando, sooooooooo many places available, they are usually ridiculously cheap. Staying in Orlando with Wyndham is not the best value compared to everything else available through RCI/II, though it can be good for a few extra nights (eg we've stayed 3 night before going to Old Key West for a week for a 10 day trip).

Aussie Karen - you have been my lunch time entertainment for 3 days - now that you are finished - WHAT WILL DO?? :rotfl::confused3

that was really good fun and .... well .... you obviously enjoy yourself!

Onwards to the next trip!

Cola, I will send you a pm later about rci. We only bought our timeshare in January and haven't used it yet. We don't know yet if it'll just be us or if we'll have a couple of wxtras.

Ok just finished your TR. Too much to comment on! So I'll just rattle off the ones that I remember...

I'll echo the others here..you look fabulous! I'm showing DH so I can justify more holidays.

Love AoA. I really didn't expect it to look so good.

Thanks for the photos of ToT. I can sympathise with your DH, I'm a chicken so I wouldn't have otherwise even seen the inside of the ride if not for your photos.

Your shopping style is awesome. Hoping to emulate some of it when we head over in 2013.

Very happy to read about FOS. We're probably going on a RCL cruise next year and you've just sold it to us.

Last but not least, thanks for taking the time to share with us...so quickly! Your writing style is fabulous! The joy that you have is infectious!

shucks.....thanks......:flower3:

do FOS.....we love it , and DH was saying last night he'd be happy to fly over just for a back to back cruise and then straight home again next year....so that says alot:beach:if you can afford it, get a junior suite...:wave2:

Wow. I would just do the parks plus pool hop and just enjoy the resorts...

But there is also... San diego city day tour, catalina boat tour, outlet shopping, fly up to san fran & spend the day exploring then fly back to anaheim, san diego zoo etc...

On our last visit, we stayed at the GCV for 4 nights. We spent three whole days at the parks and didn't get time to do all the activities (grand adventures) that were provided for Disney onsite guests. I wished I had a chance to do some of them as it sounded like so much fun! Some were only for GCV guests whilst others were for general Disney hotel guests. I'll see if I can find a link.

I'm guessing you will be hiring another (non-clown) car when over there? :clown:

If you are you'll have great access for non Anaheim activities. I'd say 3-4 days in the park will get most shows and attractions done, February will be quiet in terms of crowds. Universal Studios is worth a look, that's a one-day thing, as well as the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Hollywood Blvd (a bit tacky and tourist trap though) but there is the Disney Soda Foundation place too. We did San Diego Zoo which was nice, but IMO a zoo is a zoo...

The Warner Bros. studio tour in Burbank has pretty good reviews. Or try your luck and see if you can score some tickets to a TV recording before you go!
Or you know...you could spend the entire time with Mickey ;)

the weather will be in the low 20sC so pool is not really on the cards :sad2: and DH says he doesn't want to do 8 full days at the parks...so was thinking of hiring a car :clown: and doing universal , San Diego , shopping (of course)...

so now off to look at crowd calender and car hire:coffee:

Just spent a good part of my Sunday afternoon reading your TR.

It was awesome as always! Always get many laughs from your TR's. I have to say that I did miss the clown car :sad1:

Loved the food porn (made me go and eat :rotfl: ), great humor, great photos, great report! Thanks for sharing

so here's the reason why I have so much shopping on these trips:thumbsup2

4 of the most important people in my life.....

Are they your grandchildren Karen? Again, I so struggle to believe you are old enough! They look very cute and now your huge amount of suitcases for just two people makes more sense :rotfl2:
