I fully expect this to expand sooner than any of us would really like it too. I am 2 hours from SF outside of the "shelter in place" order but I see it coming.

It should be all states. Otherwise, this thing is going to grow more rampant and kill many more.Do you mean just CA or all states?
Yes,schools are closed here also, but our Governor has asked daycares to remain open. I get it,many people need to work, but if my profession is so important to our society, then why are we so undervalued?
I think it will expand throughout California and eventually all states.Do you mean just CA or all states?

Things keep changing by the hour and it's really starting to stress me out.
Death by a thousand cuts.
Right? "Let's protect the *real* teachers and the rest of you that work with kids can fend for yourselves".
Bergamo and the rest of Lombardy is having a rough time 10 pages of obituaries instead of the normal 1.They are specifically saying it is Not a curfew ...but a strong suggestion for all non essential persons to be in/curtailed 8pm to 5 am. A way to lessen the blow? Who knows...
Curfew or not it’s what makes sense. So many people with no common sense or ignorant of the gravity or just don’t care??
Again read about Italy ( forgot the town name) it’s horrifying ...they are saying an entire generation ( elderly) is being wiped out. Last rites and no treatment for them.
Prayers for all those everywhere being affected by the virus. So sad.
Stay home and protect yourselves and others around you.
This too shall pass.... good health n safety to all.
They're asking daycares to remain open for kids whose parents have "essential jobs" and no other childcare options. That would be healthcare, people who work in grocery stores (and other food suppliers), pharmacies, post offices, etc. There are some people who have to get to work each day to keep essential services open and really need their childcare to be available. People who are working from home are expected to keep their kids home with them.
