Joe and Jennifer's DCL Vow Renewal PJ/TR~ CEREMONY FINALLY!!!

I love all the shots of the kids with the characters and how perfect to have your Tink sweatshirt on when you got your picture with her :goodvibes

[colorred]Monday Dec 7th - DHS Part 2[/color]

After our awesome ride on TSM, it was time to head out to Luigi's Garage to see Lightning McQueen and Mater. My son is so strange.....he talked about meeting Mater again, and seeing McQueen (since he was in California at the race last year) he was so excited!! But we finally get there....and he's totally shy and scared!

Because Mike and Sully can't sign, the CM takes your autograph book and goes to punch you in! Then you get a cool stamp in your book! :yay:

It's almost time and the CM says that it will only be Mike, Sully is delayed on the Scare Floor. Boo... Oh well, we love Mike...he's more our size!

Finally....done with the morning characters and it's time for lunch. Actually, it's only 1115am, but we wanted to eat early (as we didnt' have a good breakfast) and because we got to Pizza Planet and they make a special dairy free pizza for Joey, so it takes a while.

Melissa608.jpg

Melissa609.jpg

Pizza Planet is a kind of must for us....we've gone all 3 times we've taken the kids there. 1, the other QS options at DHS kind of suck. 2, they will make a pizza special for Joey so he's a happy boy. 3, it really is a good value!! You can get a pizza and salad meal, add the dessert and drink all on the DP! And the Pizza really is pretty good. the games are nothing great, standard arcade games, some skeeball and crane games. Other than the little green alien men hanging from the ceiling, there isn't really anything Toy Story themed in the restaurant though. It would be cool if they had the alien slime slushie machine!!

We finished up lunch shortly after noon, so we headed over toward animation studios. We wanted to see if we could see Bolt or Up Characters. I caught the showing of Playhouse Disney before we went it.

Image0224.jpg

Image0229.jpg

up next: Tower of Terror, Rock n Roller Coaster, TSM again, Block Party Bash, Beauty and the Beast, where to eat dinner, and what to do at the end of the day!!

After finishing up with Animation Station, we headed up towards Rock N Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror. I was the only one who was riding Tower of Terror, while all 3 of us adults planned on riding RnRC. So the plan was that I would go to ToT, Melissa would do RnRC, and Joe would get the kids Ice Cream and wait. Whoever came out first would watch the kids while Joe went on RnRC.

Melissa661.jpg

Melissa662.jpg

I headed up to Tower of Terror and walked up the long walk....there wasn't a soul around!!! :idunno: Seriously, i walked up the walk, around the grounds, into the hotel and went to stand into the library and never saw ANYONE! I was afraid that the ride was not working when the elevator door opened and the CM sent me into the elevator all by myself! :twitch: luckily I caught up with more guests in the basement! I was on the ride in less than 3 minutes after i left everyone else!! Joe hates Tower of Terror and won't ride wiht me anymore, in 2005 I was pregnant, and when we went last year we just didn't have time....so I hadn't riden since 2001! I was sooooo ready and totally excited/scared as i couldn't remember how the ride went. IT WAS AWESOME!!! I so LOVE that ride!! I wanted to ride again but i needed to go check on everyone else.

So I headed over towards RnRC and saw Melissa and the Kids.....she had just walked out of RnRC (Love the Single rider line) and Joe had just walked on a few minutes before. She offerd to take the kids over to Beauty and the Beast while i went on RnRC with Joe. SO i tried to catch up with him but he was walking on the ride while i was in line, so we didn't meet up. Love RnRC too! Seriously, it's great that Disney can have such exciting adult roller coasters . I got off and went to meet Melissa and the Kids in B&tB, while Joe rode again.

After Beauty and the Beast we headed up towards the sorceer's hat and got a spot for Block Party Bash. I had a lot of pictures and some adorable video of the kids dancing, but of course....GONE! (can you tell i'm still bitter about my camera??) BPB is a great show!! It's so bright and active and full of energy! The kids really enjoyed it.

So now it's about 330pm. My original plan for the day was to leave shortly after noon and head to Boardwalk to relax for the afternoon before heading back to DHS for the Osbourne Lights. But somehow we had managed to spend the whole day at DHS! We had no plans for dinner. So we walked over to Sci-Fi Dine in to see if we could get a walk up. They had a table for us.....at 4pm. Granted we did eat lunch at 11am, but i really didn't want to eat dinner that early. But it was all that was available and we really did want to eat there, so we took it. Originally we were supposed to have an ADR at Sci-Fi but i cancelled it in favor of Akershus. I knew that i wanted to try the Chocolate Milkshake.....but since this would be an OOP meal....i was cheap and got water and only the Onion Rings for dinner. :lol2: Yeah, i'm that kind of person.

Joe had the Ribs, and Melissa had the Rueben. Both really enjoyed their meal. The kids had the beef macaroini that came with a salad. I ate their salad and my onion rings...and was happy. :rotfl:

I was really hoping that the kids would be happy with the restaurant and laugh at the movies...but i think it was just too dark for them. The movies were way over their head, and it was too dark for Joey to notice that he was eating in a car, so it was a waste of a trip. but the food was good.

After dinner we headed back towards Streets of America to finally see Sully!

Image0231.jpg

Image0235.jpg

Image0240.jpg

By now it was about 530pm and the Osbourne lights were coming on at 6pm. The beautiful sunny day had ended and it was starting to drizzle. not enought to actually get wet...but it was annoying. As it got closer to 6pm it started to rain more and more. by the time the lights came on, we were getting wet. So we did a quick walk up and down the street and headed out. The kids were cold and wet and didn't even really look at the lights. ugh weather!!

Upon leaving DHS we drove across the street to check out Boardwalk Resort and the boadwalk. we looked at the Gingerbread house, walked up and down the boardwalk, and had dessert at Boardwalk Bakery. I wanted to rent the Surrey bike and go around the lake, but everyone else was tired......whimpy!! So we headed back to teh cabin to get ready for bed. in teh morning.....OUR EPCOT SHOOT!!!

Tuesday December 8th

Tuesday morning came early......Beaute Special was to be here at 6am. I woke up at 530am and made some coffee. I moved Joey from the lower bunk into bed with Joe, and had Melissa go in and sleep in the bottom bunk. This was all discussed last night when we were trying to figure out the best way to get me ready without distrubing everyone else.

Lane from Beaute Special showed up about 550am. I had a few pictures from their website to show her how I wanted my make up to look. I wanted fresh and natural, not hollywood glam. I don't wear a lot of makeup normally, and I wanted to look back at these pictures and say "wow, i look beautiful, not what a great makeup job i had done." She knew exactly what i wanted and did a great job. As for my hair, I told her i wanted half up/half down, fluffy and curly, and completely out of my face.
weddinghairstyle2.gif

this is what I showed her i wanted.

she worked quickly and did a great job! I was so happy with my make up and my hair. it was fluffly and full and most importantly, was not hanging in my face! And my make up was perfect! No dark eyeliner, and it looked natural. i was very happy.

We finished my hair and make up about 7am, and Mike was due to arrive at 730am. I woke Joe up and had him get ready while i put my dress on. Mike showed up about 720am and we were all set.

I know that Mike's reputation on the DIS isn't great. But i had seen his work and wasn't worried in the least. I think my style matchs his very well. Not to be vain or out of touch with the latest photography styles, but I want to be the main item in a picture. I don't like the out of focus pictures where the bride and groom are in the background. I don't like the pictures that have a huge landscape, with a tiny little couple hidden someplace. I want to see ME and know what the picture was supposed to say. On the way over to Epcot, i told Mike i had seen Carly's pictures, and Tom and Heidi's Escape pics at Sunset Point, and even Michelle's Epcot pics (But i didn't tell him she wasn't impresssed with them. ;) ) And the best part of the whole morning, was that Joe was actually in a good mood and enjoyed Mike. My husband is not a friendly person and does not take well to other people. And he HATES to get his picture taken. So the fact that he was in a good mood, had good smiles, and was generally laughing and joking with Mike made the shoot go very well.

First Mike took us over to Italy. The weather was warm, thankgoodness, but it was very foggy. We couldn't see across the World Showcase lake to see Spaceship Earth when we got there. there was no sunlight at all.....not good for taking pictures. But I think Mike made good with what we had.

After Italy, we headed over to China. I was looking forward to pictures in China....i like the gardens and fish and flowers in China. While there isn't anything wrong with the pictures, they just arent' my favorites. Going back over looking at other China pictures, i've noticed it in others too. I think where you stand in China is just too far away from the camera......it's a lot like the Castle in MK....big scenery, tiny little couple.

By now our hour is up, it's actually almost 845am, and Mike asked if there was anything else we wanted. I told him I wanted to try and get some pictures by the fountain in France, and hopefully get some good SE pictures, if/when the fog ever lifted off the lake. Mike said no problem, so we headed over towards France.

To get our SpaceShip Earth pictures, we headed back over towards Italy and went out on the Isola. The fog had finally lifted and the sun was out, it was actually rather bright. :heehee: We were running late and the sun was in our eyes, we debated if we really wanted to do these, but i'm glad we did as i think they turned out PERFECT! I love these last few shots he got.

As it was now very warm, the sun was out and it was well after 9am, the little lizard guys were crawling all over the place.....I'm freaked out by these little things and was trying to make sure i didn't step on them. that's how Mike snapped this last picture. I don't normally stand and walk that way. :heehee:
Epcot-113.jpg

We truelly enjoyed our session with Mike. He was very professional and we are SOOO IN LOVE with our pictures. I am so glad i did the shoot.

We had to hurry back to the cabin and change as we had to get the kids and hurry over to DTD as we were meeting my brother and his family at 1045am for lunch at T-Rex and shopping.

Tuesday December 8th - Part 2 - DTD

It was close to 10am by the time we got back to Ft Wilderness after our photo shoot. We had to hustle and get changed because we were supposed to meet my Brother and his family at DTD at 1030. We told Melissa we would be back by 9am and to just let the kids sleep, we'd get them bathed and cleaned up when we got back. EEKS! Luckily, she's great and already had Joey bathed and fed and Jackie was in the tub when we got back.

Melissa672.jpg

Still, we were going to be late. So i called my brother to let him know we were running behind (so was he :rotfl: ) and we pushed our time back to 1045 for our 11am reservation at T-Rex. Go the kids dressed and cleaned up and Joey and I changed. I left my hair down with all 5million of the bobby pins in......I looked good, but i also wanted to see how long it would last. Soon we were ready and headed out to DTD.
Melissa676.jpg

Melissa677.jpg

Have I mentioned how WONDERFUL it was to have our own car!??!?!? Never again will we rely on Disney Transportation. They offer a great service, but man you can save so much time just driving yourself around!!

We met my brother, his wife, and their 3 kids at DTD by the Carousel. It was a BEAUTIFUL day finally, the sun was shining and it was hot Florida weather! LOVING IT!! We let the kids take a ride on the Carousel and then the Train before we headed down to T-Rex.

It was still a few minutes before 11am so the kids played in the dig site off the store. It's a big sand pit with dig tools available to search for fossils in the sand.

Melissa714.jpg

Melissa715.jpg

They had a great time and didn't want to stop to go in and eat! But I was hungry (I'd been up since 530 and hadn't eaten yet!) We we seated quickly in a big round table in the back. (There were 10 of us, 5 adults and 5 kids - 6/5/4/3/1)

It was time for cocktails!! They had a typical drink menu like you would get at Applebee's or someplace like that, but with funky names. I got a paleozoic version of a bahama mama. :rotfl: It worked for me! It was $10! but i got to keep the glass, whoopie, a plain ol' big hurricane glass. it would have been better if it atleast said T-Rex on it!

I knew it was going to be an expensive meal, but GOODNESS their prices were crazy!! We weren't going to be eating again until O'Hana at 5pm so i figued i'd need more than just a burger, so Joe got the big slab of Ribs and I got some kind of Chicken dish. (I took food porn to help me remember damn it!!!) It was good, but i don't think worth the price. There was lots of food and the kids enjoyed the restaurant. Yes it's loud but you expect it to be. The meteor shower show that goes off ever 15 minutes or so is WAY Cool! And i loved how the Ice Room would change from blue to red. I got great pictures of that. :sobbing: Overall i'm glad we went, it was really cool, but I don't see us going back. Not until Tracy calls my Powerball numbers anyway!

It was about 1230pm when we left the restaurant, without a trip to the Build-a-Dino section I may add. :heehee: We headed down towards West Side just walking and talking, got to the end and turned around and headed back towards Marketplace.

Melissa703.jpg

We headed over to Goofy's Candy Shop before we went back to the resort. Made some dipped pretzel sticks, got some cool candy and basically enjoyed their AC. :D

It was almost 3pm by now, and we had reservation at Ohana at 5pm. We wanted to go back and go swimming, but we'd only have an hour if we wanted to make dinner on time, which we did. So we hung back and went to play at the lego store for a bit, then went back to the resort.
Melissa706.jpg

Melissa707.jpg

Melissa751.jpg

Melissa754.jpg

We wanted to explore down by the Settlement and see the barn, but we couldn't figure out how to get there! Apparentnyl you can't drive there, atleast not in a car. HOW STUPID! Why would you put the restaurant, show facility, SHOPS, and kids activities in a place that is not accessible by car!?!?!?!? Ugh, it was the only thing we didn't like about the Ft. So after wasting close to an HOUR driving around the Ft, we were not almost late for dinner. Back to the cabin to freshen up and change our clothes for dinner.

Made it to Poly for our 5pm ADR right on time and Oh My Goodness!! The restaurant was packed! I couldn't believe it was so busy when it just opened! CRAZY Busy! I was worried we were going to be stuck waiting forever for a table, but luckily we got seated pretty quickly. BRING ON THE FOOD!!! I had read so much on how great Ohana was for dinner, i couldn't wait to try it all. The bread was good, Joey ate 4 pieces of it! :heehee: They they brought out the salad and THAT was yummy! I could have eaten that all evening...until the wings and noodles and broccoli came out. :yay: EVERYTHING was so good......the kids ate everythign on their plate and then some! It was great to see them eat something other than french fries! Joey thought it was hilarous to see the waitress walking around with the meat on sticks. And i did try the dessert....good too! Ohana is now a MUST -DO for us everytrip!

After rolling out of Ohana and back to the car we decided it was time for some fun (cause ya know, we hadn't had any all week :lmao: ) and decided it was time for NIGHT SWIMMING!!! Melissa was going to stay behind in the cabin and do some work while we took the kids down to the pool for some Swimming Under the Stars.

Again, i had great pictures of the kids playing in the pool. THe pool area at Ft Wilderness was really cool. They had a new toddler play area with water slides and sprays that Joey was just head over heals in love with. Joe and Jackie was enamored with the big water slide and went down time and time again until the life guards left at 8pm. Joey moved from the toddler play area to this big square zero entry pool. We sat and played in there for about 10 minutes until i found a TURD!!! OMG I was freaking out :scared1: It was so gross, Joey had his face in that water!! I was tryinig to not make a scene but man i was so grossed out and about to start hyperventaliing....that's just NASTY!!! totally ruined my night swimming. We moved to the big pool but Joey of course had to be held the whole time so we left shortly after and went back to the cabin. The kids passed out before they hit their pillows.

Tomorrow is our last day at Disney before we sail!! WOO HOOO!O!!

Your hair and makeup turned out so pretty for the Epcot photos! I just love the shots in the World Showcase, I think my favorites are of Spaceship Earth and in Morocco. I'm glad the fog finally lifted for your SE pics. That's too bad you weren't happy with your Japan pictures, I know our shots there were some of our favorites, but we spent a lot of time there with our bridal party so got to get lots of different angles, etc.

I'm glad to hear that you're an O'hanas convert, we always eat there on every trip. Even in December when we just went to Universal and no Disney, we had to make a trip over to eat at O'hanas :rotfl:

Wow - your Epcot pictures are amazing - you both look wonderful. Your hair and makeup came out great and I so love your dress with the sash and pink shoes. The pictures you got with Spaceship Earth are worth the whole Epcot shoot.

Like you review of T-Rex - we have never eaten there but hope to one day. It looks so cool just to walk around.

I am so glad you like 'Ohana. This is our favorite place to eat and it sometimes gets a bad rap on these boards. We always love everything there and you ate at a great time. There is so much food there we can't eat there late at night any more. Although we do love walking down to the beach when we are finished and watching the Electric Light Pagent and Wishes.

Looking forward to reading more.

Your Epcot pics are fantastic!!!!! Sounds like a fun afternoon at DTD. Sorry for the gross experience in the pool:scared1:-blech!

I am so glad we did the Epcot shoot....it really was such a great expereince. And yeah.... EW EW EW from the pool....still makes me cringe.

I was so happy with my hair and make-up from Beaute Special......Lane really did a great job matching it up exactly with what I wanted. I will admit i was worried about telling a professional make up artist that i didn't really want my makeup to show up. But she knew exactly what i was going for and did an outstanding job! I was so pleased with it. And i still looked good even after "glistening" in DTD all afternoon. :rotfl:
