Disney Dining
Theres quite a bit I want to say on the topics of DINING and the SHOWS on the Wonder and the Dream. However, getting the time to process in the mind and physically type it all out is eluding me. But here is a summary.
The WONDER
On the all
Disney Cruise Line ships there are 3 main Restaurants. They have 2 dining times and they are on rotation during your cruise. So a basic cruise gives you dining at each of them once.
On the Disney Wonder there is Parrot Cay, Tritons and Animators Palate.
On the Disney Dream there is Enchanted Garden, Royal Palace and Animators Palate.
DO NOT BE DECEIVED THOUGH
they are NOT the same or even similar as the same name would suggest
.
I have VERY LITTLE food porn as I was seriously jetlagged
and tbh
not impressed enough to bother
I also cant tell you what I ate. But while it was all good food.
Im not saying the food is bad. There was no Stand out. And even if a restaurant looked nicer it didnt mean better food.
[I do have some food photos and restaurant photos but theyll come later.]
Parrot Cay is where you can have buffet lunch on day one of a Disney Wonder Cruise. It is also where you have ala carte dinner one night. This is fun and casual although so having it on the first night was good. Obviously not everyone has this order, but it worked well.
The lunch was great and about equivalent to what is now offered at Cabanas on the Dream. The Dinner was quite lovely.
Enchanted Garden The equivalent on the Dream to Parrot Cay is Enchanted Garden. This is a finer dining look than Parrot Cay but I wasnt any more impressed with the menu. It has some unusual seating options, which I believe is given to larger family groups. But we had a regular table. I found this better than Royal Palace food wise
about par otherwise.
Tritons is where you can have lunch on the Nassau day on a 3 night cruise. It also features in the night time dining rotation. I really enjoyed Tritons and think it had a lovely atmosphere and good food. For the Lunch and Dinner.
Royal PalaceThe equivalent to Tritons LITERALLY is Royal Palace. It is Deck 3 midship with entry off the Atrium. A more confusing design I felt and not a great selection on the menu for the lunch. The Dinner was good. The signature drinks I think were the best here, but nothing very special about the food options. It was beautiful.
Animators Palate
.oh my beloved Animators Palate
what have they done to you
THE WONDER
On the Wonder the classic Animators Palate is found. My love. My wonderful. Oh how I love you. You will see some photos from it in my other TR in my signature.
You have the colour change gradually occurring.
You have a beautiful artistry around you.
You have the fanfare at the end
.meaning you ACTUALLY HAVE A TIMED DINING EXPERIENCE.
THE DREAM
How disappointing. Think colourful restaurant with tv screens in the walls and some knick knacks on the walls. Add Turtle Talk
No more
no less.
